I just thought this was so cool! I think it was mostly because it reminds me so much of the classic Street Fighter games. I don't know about this contest you are talking about. There are so many of them on this website I lose track. The red guy looks like a reptile of some kind. I wouldn't expect a reptile to have a sixpack, but I'm not a herpetologist.

The animation moves so wonderfully fluid here. It's pretty much as good as anything else you've worked on. You remind me of golfinho, only not as disgusting. That is probably why I like you more. The work with the shadows is nice too.

TheBoogley responds:

Thanks again for your review, It's great to have your opinion on my work! :D
LoopdeLoop is an animation challenge site that I have been running for a while.

I was wondering why this did not have the name "Shamoozal" on it. I thought it was just going to be a live-action sequence at first. I guess that probably wouldn't have worked out well for the website. Then again, the "Numa Numa Dance" was live-action. I thought this was a neat little tribute. It's too bad I never played these games as a kid.

I was more of a Mario guy. It was really cool to incorporate different styles for everything. You all these scenes by yourself? Impressive! I think my favorite was probably the Contra part, with the ghost and everything.

Shamoozal responds:

I almost didn't post this video because of the live action stuff, I wasn't sure if it was going to fly. And yes I handled everything in this video, all of the animated sequences and the live action stuff. Glad you liked it.

I thought this wasn't as good as the first one. It just seems kind of random with how the gag is done. I do have to praise you for having some good voices. They really do sound a lot like the original characters. I think this is probably even how the characters would really react in a situation like this. I thought it said "In a nutshell" in the title.

Speaking of which, that "X In A Nutshell" meme really died off. Maybe in another cartoon, he could be in an actual nut shell? I think the catch phrase way reference how turtles do have shells that form a 360 angle. To think, I was bad at geometry. The animation isn't bad either.

DragoonFenix15 responds:

You might have the wrong dude - I didn't work on any "Nutshell" movies.

I'm surprised that something with such a high rating didn't get a bigger award. I agree that it is a great cartoon. I think my favorite part was at the end when everything came into that big eye. Then again, that also made me sad that it was over. I think this could have been longer. You were really experimenting in this awesome cartoon.

I also appreicated the great music. It does seem kind of an oxymoron to have dreams while on caffeine. Maybe they're supposed to be daydreams or hallucinations? If so, it can't be going well for you. I also loved the monsters that appeared to grab you.

Dojang responds:

Hi- Yeah, wasn't a good day for awards, I was up against a Minecraft parody, and a TF2 fanimation. Thanks for your support.

Okay, now THAT is freaking awesome. It's amazing, because at first, you think it's going to be the little black kid that's the hoarder. He certainly seems odd enough to be one. When you just show Oak over and over, you know that something pretty disturbing is going to happen. I thought you were just going to show the Bulbasaur being euthanized. It turned out to be MUCH worse than even that.

I'm glad you didn't use just one pokemon species. Instead, there was practically this entire world of rejected pokemon. The most deranged bit was probably was the Pokemon Caterpie. Wait, isn't Caterpie already a pokemon? The haunting music made it all the more deranged. It's weird for something to win Underdog of the Week and Daily Feature.

Mosamabindrawin responds:

Yea i originally thought of just having a bunch of bulbasaur but I thought it would be more interesting this way, thankyou for the feedback!

Ah, I was disappointed to find out this was not an infinite loop. I guess I just am reminded of Weebl too much with these cartoons. This is, of course, pretty awesome in its own right. I think my favorite part would be how you chose a space walrus. Usually when you think of marine mammals in space, you think of whales. Not you, you used a walrus.

It was cool to hear all about geometry and stuff in the beginning. Someone well educated is always fun in a song. I also like how sincere everything looks. The voice is particularly well done. It has a good sense of sincerity.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

speaking of education, the song was originally going to be space rhombus but then i realised that a rhombus was a different shape to what i thought it was.

This is probably the strangest of all these cartoons that feature Yotam talking to Fantasia. Then again, I don't even know if it counted as him talking to Fantasia. I still appreicated the artwork. I imagine someone who has seen this scenario played out so many times before has acted like this. I thought that this was a fan flash at first, then I thought it wasn't, now I now it is. It only figures something that popular would get its own fan material.

Maybe you can add it to its page? Anyway, I like how you made the voices sound just like characters from the series. I could tell the depiction of the main characters wasn't like that in Yotam's cartoons. I wonder if that guy was going to be assaulted by a police officer? Congradulations on being in the Top 10.

Adam-Beilgard responds:

Yeah, Yotam is the best

I was not expecting much of this and was glad it was so good! Yes, I am glad it had a bunch of stuff blowing up and blood spraying everywhere. It still kind of looks like you tried to keep that stuff at a minimum in order to make it more appealing. I actually liked that. It gave the cartoon a more sincere appearance. I know that might not make much sense for you, but I think this is an experiment that worked.

The animation is better than ever. I had no idea it would be that long and it kept my interest the whole time! You would think Godzilla would appear, seeing as how King Kong did. It was unpredictable in every way, like with the fat guy being a robot. It's a pity robots don't bleed.

JoeCartoon responds:

thanks ericho! beers!

You are known for making abstract stuff, but this was crazy even for you! I couldn't even tell what was going on. I thought it might be a satire of games made in a few days. I thought that might have been what the title meant. I don't even know if it was making fun of anything. I hope that dialogue isn't in the original Mario Party game.

With all that being said, I still have to recommend it. It's a very unique submission and it looks like a great experiment too. I'm surprised someone as well known as Egoraptor wasn't under Credits & Info. Then again, Rina-chan isn't always credited either. I liked the paper background.

LazyMuffin responds:

Maybe you're not aware, but Jontron and Egoraptor do a youtube show of them playing video games called Game Grumps. A ton of people just clip segments from that show and animate them, I thought it was widespread it enough to not be too confusing.
