Happy Clock Day, I guess

I enjoy the Clock Crew as much as the next guy, but I'm really not impressed by animations that are just one frame. I mean, I have the Clock Crew to thank for having the one day I could submit my crappy stuff to this website. I will say that while I'm no Egyptian scholar, it was nice of you to do your research. I'm going to assume that is the Egyptian letter for "B" and it is different than the standard "B". What doesn't work is that this doesn't have much significane. Now if you tried putting in two letter in Egyptian, that'd be nicer.

Thanks for the review.

Dumb?

I don't know why you would think this was dumb, as it was done really well! While it may not have had much of a story, the artwork was some of the best of that type I'd seen! I guess I was looking for something a bit more complicated with more guys around, you know? It may in fact be the first stop-motion animation I've seen that used charcoal before. The music was very nice and fitting as well. It was really cool to see everything flow together especially when it is presented on old contruction paper.

Captain responds:

Yeah the art was very simple and not really challenging, but that was the reason why i stuck to basically stick figures and squiggles. This was the first big animation project that I decided to tackle so I kept it easy to draw so I can really get a feel for it.

Not terrible

Well, the animation wasn't anything particularly good or bad. I really couldn't understand the words at all and you really should find a way to reduce static. I'm guilty of this myself in my own YouTube videos, and I don't know how to reduce it anyway. I think that it really went on too long and I couldn't understand the plot anyway. Still, I guess you did put in a lot of effort into this. Next time, you should really put in more action and not just talk over and over.

JohnnySkul responds:

Yea, i found a way to make the qudio better but the thing was for ever 10 seconds for the audio was about 2 mega bites so i gotta find a way to do this. It really sucks bro.

Great stuff!

4:26? I felt as though it was on a lot longer than that. Anyway, I was very impressed by this and while I have no idea who Cahj is (I assume they're another group of cartoonists like eddworld) this was awesome! It helped that you used the theme song from "Naruto", which is some truly awesome music. I was also impressed by the animation, especially with the characters fighting. I'm a big fan of eddsworld and although I can't remember the character's names, it was great to see them all. The toaster turning into a robot was cool too.

Lazyfeet responds:

Yeah, it's only the second episode of CAHJ so hopefully we'll become better known. I was inspired by the Naruto intro. It was absolutely badass.

Hehe. I want a transformer toaster. It's not fair!

Drinking?

I know that being a big fan of the forums I'm used to learning about someone's birthday. It's interesting to find out that this is the date of Mr. Hippo or Blue Hippo or whatever his name is' birthday! While there wasn't much interaction, the drawn figures were nice. I recognized Luis and ZekeySpaceLizard and know they're supporters of the hippo guy. The music was pretty cheerful and fit the mood well. Next time, you should try having more action and some dialogue for that matter.

Rooster responds:

I thought I had more time to finish then I did, I had planned more than what is there. Hopefully next year i'll do what I wanted to this year.

20 MB?!

Dude, I have to give you a 9 for if nothing else than informing me that Tom Fulp raised the bar to 20 MB! It's not often I see live-action stuff here (that's more suited for YouTube) but I'm glad it's here! The atmosphere (with all the dark stuff around) is simply wonderful. I was a bit skeptical of this seriousness when they didn't have actual guns. You threw in a great twist by revealing it was in fact, pretend. Dang, I really should've figured that out sooning just by looking at the title!

Fro responds:

thanks

Not bad at all

I was a little disappointed about the lack of music, but it wasn't half bad besides that. You should also probably put in some sound effects. While it may have been short, it had really all of the animation I would expect from a stick flash such as this. I also thought the ending was really funny when it was pretty much pointless. I also liked the color tone you used for this. With more story and sound, I'm sure you could become a popular author.

stickmakerflash responds:

The Ending; remember when the stickman shot the apple? the bullet did'nt went through. So, when he bit it, the bullet was still there and he choked and hicupped. Get it?! If not, watch it again

Quite strange

I was expecting a lot of voice acting in this itself, but there was really none at all. I mean yeah, it's a teaser and I can understand why there wouldn't be, but I still found it odd to credit so many voice actors. This series looks pretty good so far. The sprites seem to be well-animated even if the drawings show they may be recolors of popular characters. It is certainly creative with all of those characters. I was surprised you didn't do any character analysis for the villians.

Pienkaito responds:

Well, you obviously didn't find the easter egg yet.
And the villains are still unknown to make it more interesting.

That was wierd

I loved Red Baron's appearance, but I couldn't really understand this at all. I gues the black kid who flew was supposed to be Red Baron or Sparkboy or something? I guess this is one in a series, and I don't know anything about it. It kind of left on a loose end, and I'm sorry that you were not able to complete it if that was the case. I mean, I thought the animation and the voices were pretty good, but hard to understand. I guess I can at least give you credit for creating a fairly original concept.

beastkid7 responds:

yeah sorry bout that -thanx for your honest review.
