Quite interesting

At first I was expecting this to use your robot character from other stuff, but apparently I was wrong. Then I realized I was right, even though he wasn't the focus of the cartoon. I thought the guy looked a lot like someone from an Egoraptor thing. Anyway, this had some pretty good things in its own right. I like the designs, especially that of the big monster. I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't longer and it didn't have great action scenes, but it was not bad at all.

vezanmatics responds:

well thanks. it was for a small school contest (which explains the lack of a good action sequence) , but it got a lot further than i expected it to go and i thought it was worth posting.

Very emotional

I really liked the wide variety (or at least the number) of songs that you used for this. The human characters had sort of simple designs, but that wasn't what you were trying to do. I really like the animation in this one; being able to idenitfy the little dots reminded me of the stuff in the Sunday comics (which I still read). It was also nice how you got an environmental message across with the trees being cut down. I'm glad it ended on at least a somewhat optimistic note. Merry Christmas to you now and forever, Sonucais!

Sonucais responds:

Hey ericho, thanks for reviewing again.

Unforgettable

With the title "A Bid For Freedom" I had no idea it was going to be about bad breath and King Kong. While there was no animation, you managed to take me back to the days of when I read traditional story books. This remembered me of this one book about a bad word that became a cloud which I think you may have based it on. It was also pretty funny how the ending made it all pointless as in a shaggy dog story. The artwork was all done fantastically and seemed like something any great professional illustrationist could do. You should have this published as an actual book!

Wow, thanks for that fantastic review, and congratulations on joining the echelon of the top 25 all-time reviewers! You've clearly seen a heap of Flash in your time, so I'm honoured that you enjoyed our work so much!
Although I've read many books in my youth by talents like Roald Dahl and Dr Seuss, I've haven't had the pleasure of reading your specific title (though it sounds bizarre and interesting).
ABFF was pretty much conceived off-the-cuff to concur with the competition deadline, with partial reflection on my own experiences (being at deathlydull parties etc.) and fairly obvious pop-cult influences (that 1933 monster movie that the Lord of the Rings guy remade, title keeps slipping my mind...).
I'm really glad you like our style and our sense of humour; it was great fun to produce, I'll try my damnedest to get a new published edition out at some point along the way (I'll let you know when I do) and we'll all certainly work hard to produce more great entertainment for viewers like you in the near future!

Cheers for checking us out!

Underrated!

I am glad I was able to catch sight of this, despite the low rating. This managed to be something really neat because it did not aim to be particularly silly, but just something entertaining. I really liked the animation in this one, reminded me of like "Ren And Stimpy" or something. I also liked how the voices sounded. The funniest part was probably when Santa beat the guy up even though I couldn't even see his fists touching him. Showing Santa's buttcheeks was pretty unpleasant, but funny.

MrAbnormal responds:

thanks i appreciate it

Collab?

Gee, it's so hard for me to rank this low, as it was intended to be for a collab. I mean, it jut doesn't seem like much, with the simple animation of the whale falling. I think the song is pretty good, but it can get annoying after awhile with just the same song. It's too bad this didn't go in that collab as I'm sure it would too much better accomodated by other things. Still, you at least tried to make this good for something even if it did not succeed. I hope you are able to get into collabs where this can be appreciated much more.

Viridis responds:

Nom

AWesome!!

I decided to make that "AWesome!!" error part of the actual title, and I can say that I loved this! All of the animations were done wonderfully and the still pictures were practically flawless. I especially loved the way Pikachu became a rapper (dressed up) and how you make an adult joke about Team Rocket that wasn't about James being gay. Honestly, you're awesome for this! I congradulate and compliment all of the people who worked on this and what it became. I am simply perplexed at how this did not win a single award.

peixeaquatico responds:

thanks man

I do not think I'm lucky

Happy Clock Day, I guess

I enjoy the Clock Crew as much as the next guy, but I'm really not impressed by animations that are just one frame. I mean, I have the Clock Crew to thank for having the one day I could submit my crappy stuff to this website. I will say that while I'm no Egyptian scholar, it was nice of you to do your research. I'm going to assume that is the Egyptian letter for "B" and it is different than the standard "B". What doesn't work is that this doesn't have much significane. Now if you tried putting in two letter in Egyptian, that'd be nicer.

ChandlerThompson responds:

Thanks for the review.

Dumb?

I don't know why you would think this was dumb, as it was done really well! While it may not have had much of a story, the artwork was some of the best of that type I'd seen! I guess I was looking for something a bit more complicated with more guys around, you know? It may in fact be the first stop-motion animation I've seen that used charcoal before. The music was very nice and fitting as well. It was really cool to see everything flow together especially when it is presented on old contruction paper.

Captain responds:

Yeah the art was very simple and not really challenging, but that was the reason why i stuck to basically stick figures and squiggles. This was the first big animation project that I decided to tackle so I kept it easy to draw so I can really get a feel for it.

Not terrible

Well, the animation wasn't anything particularly good or bad. I really couldn't understand the words at all and you really should find a way to reduce static. I'm guilty of this myself in my own YouTube videos, and I don't know how to reduce it anyway. I think that it really went on too long and I couldn't understand the plot anyway. Still, I guess you did put in a lot of effort into this. Next time, you should really put in more action and not just talk over and over.

JohnnySkul responds:

Yea, i found a way to make the qudio better but the thing was for ever 10 seconds for the audio was about 2 mega bites so i gotta find a way to do this. It really sucks bro.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
