[You Only Live Once]

That was crazy!

I guess I pretty much had no choice at all but to die on that one part of the level. It is a very surreal thing that deserves to be in the art games collection and I now understand the title more. I guess that is a pretty realistic representation of what it would be like if that happened. I liked how it kept going on with "Continue" that I was sad when it stopped. I guess our lives all stop eventually, and I love how the whole thing was a Mario pastiche. The ridiculous cut scene at the beginning was nice too.

I love it all!

Of all the thousands of games that I have seen on Newgrounds, this is by far one of the most original. It is just so satisfying at the end to see the monster all at one point as it dies. That is probably the biggest motivator for completing this fantastic game. It reminded me of my favorite submission "The Scale Of The Universe" which emphasized how small we are and how everything is a journey. The controls are not the best, but it becomes so enjoyable just scouting out everything, you really forget. Thank you guys, for all of the work put into this!

Perhaps the best SSB tribute ever here

Everything of this is simply fantastic and it is of course great how you threw in a bunch of other video game characters. There is just so much space for the characters to move around, you do not notice the pixels. I do not think I have ever been in a 2 Player game here on Newgrounds, but this would be a great way to get started. The music, the backgrounds, and attacks are just like in "Super Smash Bros". I am glad that this is part of "Flash Portal History" and that it has millions of views. There are just so many fun things to do!

Loved the Trotsky quote

This is probably the best game using this style of graphics available on Newgrounds. I thoroughly enjoyed how it was not just a bunch of pixels, but actually something that would be in a real modern side scrolling game. There were just so many different weapons to use, I lost count. I doubt the game has any ending, but I like it better that way. There are just so many enemies coming out everywhere you can not help but blast everything that moves, which is the point. The enemies have so much variety it does not get redundant.

Much better!

I am glad that you worked on your stuff and made something a lot more fun. While not the best game out there (you still kind of need to improve on your animation) it was nice. It was a little frustrating at first with the "DRAW" button, but most games like this are that hard anyway. I liked the variety of all of the enemies. It was fun to just see them get their heads and bodies blown up after beating them. I guess I would suggest more of a background and some better line drawings, but not bad at all.

This is an extremely original game to play here on Newgrounds and I am glad that it was made! I was just impressed at how original the graphics were and the character. I liked her little hair flying everywhere and I am glad I learned how to make her jump higher. It is a pretty hard game and I can understand why it is frustrating to just get one medal. You have to be really quick but at the same time be aware of everything that is coming up in the level. The music is pretty sylistic too.

Sweet and to the point

This game is great because it is one of the simplest defense games that I have played in my life! It is always a good idea to show the total number of kills that you have. You do so much with individual blasts it is great to see the overall effect. Things like the graphics and sound effects are good, especially with how the little stick guys moan when you blast them. The premise is so simple you can just play it all day. There might not be much going on, but you went so far as to not put in a lot of flashy effects.

It is beyond a stick game!

I think that this is something that really started to redefine the stick genre in games and movies. The graphics are simply fantastic, particularly with how the lines just seem to be moving around everywhere. It is one of the most adorable games I have ever played with the cute environment. It is not an imitation of something like "Super Mario Bros" as it is a great game in its own right. I love to just see the guy get curled into a ball and launched everywhere. The atmosphere is so pleasant it is hard to even get frustrated with the game.
