Can't really hate it

This is another game that makes the mistake of not having any music or any sound at all. A lot of people look for this in a submission and you can just put in some popular song for it. I could not understand this well, as I seem to just randomly blow up after flying around. At least it was a good way to get medals, granted they were not worth anything, but still. The animation/graphics is fairly standard in this. Just try to make it a little easier and have music or sound effects to make it more absorbing.

jirachi99 responds:

Well the medals are meant to be worth stuff but they haven't been approved by the admin yet.

Probably your best

You may never get the oppurtunity to get medals with points here on Newgrounds, but you can still make good stuff. This was the nicest thing you have ever worked on, and should please any fan. The best thing about it was how awesome the sound was. Everything was fitting and you still had no idea what was going to come up next. If anyone wants advice on the first part of the game, then just know the stick figure is always in the same spot. Not your biggest fan, but you made something I liked!

thank you!
I enjoy your reviews

Strange...

This is, well, an amazing game and I guess I did enjoy playing it because it was so easy. I was thinking it was going to turn into something funny, but it kept the serious tone the whole way through. It seemed like it really was trying to look into our hearts, souls, and minds. I knew it was going to come to an ending where the guy died. The music was great and while there was just so little going on, I would still probably recommend it. I guess it did a great job of being extremely realistic for a NG game.

EventHorizon responds:

I really appreciated your review and I'm glad you liked the game, thanks! :)

Nice for something quick

Boy, do I wish actually animating a flash like this was actually that easy with all the art and audio and stuff. This was still fun to play because I am quick with things like that and I managed to get a lot of points. I love the music you used as that is simply something that will never die out. There was just a lot of effort put into making it look like we had effort. Granted, it was not detailed and a bit too easy, but still playable. When an easy game can give you medals, that's good enough for me.

thinking-man responds:

Thanks for the review!

Great work!

That has got to be one of the lengtheist art collabs I have ever seen on Newgrounds! I just love the way everything is detailed so gorgeously! In case anyone is wondering, you get the cake medal by simply viewing everything (at least I think so). That one isn't really an easter egg as it something you are expected to do. Yeah, it did tick me off with how hard it was get the medals, but it was still great to look at all the artwork. I think my favorite would be the one with the cat's face on the notebook paper.

JKAmovies responds:

I guess the medals are actually difficult now... That's good >:D

Haha! thanks though, glad you liked it.

Basic pong

I enjoy playing "Pong" (any version) as much as the next guy and this was an okay game to play. The worst thing about this was that there was no sound, and I always look for that with a game or anything. It did not really seem to add anything new to the table, but I guess you were not aiming for that. It might be just me, but dang, was this a really hard game to play. The computer just seemed to be able to predict by every move and a lot of times I just lost a point out of sheer laziness. You did fit the description well at least.

0497335119 responds:

Thanks for the review, yes, the computer is really crazy what concerns stopping the balls, I don't even know how I forced to do that :p glad you enjoyed it, I'm getting better and better and will bring out a lot of games next, keep tuned !!

Another great one!

This was a ton of fun to play because it was just so adorable! I admired how it had such a bright, uplifting spirit to it and showed off all the colors of the rainbow and everything! I never thought I would have to work that hard just to get 1,000 blobs clear for a 5 pt medal! Everything here is so great, including that big monkey thing who is drawing everything. It deserves to be added to the neverending list of games with medals here on Newgrounds! I also love the little squishy sounds you get when you get rid of a bunch of them.

Megadev responds:

Ah, well if you thought the 1,000 blobs medal was hard then you're in for a nasty surprise - some of the later ones are vicious! Not sure any of us could get them and we've been playing for a few months now. :)

This is a decent game

I was not able to understand it that way, but this was a fairly fun game to play. The reason it works for me is because it is pretty simple with absolutely everything it does. I was still a bit confused as to how I seemed to die after doing nothing, but nice. There could have been some more detail put into this, with the horse and man. Of course, that might defeat its purpose of being a simple game which it certainly is. It was even a little surreal, as I could in no way tell where I was going or why.

TheSolgryn responds:

Thx, but it's supposed to look that way since it's a super retro game (atari-like). xD

The games never end!

When I first played this, I thought it was going to be a race of some sort, but this thing definitley went on forever! I was also thinking Larry would have no control over Pup, but he actually did a good job. It is hard to tell if Pup is missing a leg like he did in the second episode. The only complaint I had was that the spacebar was just hard to operate. You had to touch it in exactly the right place for it to work. I liked just going around and collecting beer and stuff, but how do you seriously survive hitting a wall?

Jazza responds:

full speed :)

Pretty innovative

It was hard for me to understand the directions, but that was mostly my fault. What I did admire about this game was that it was truly different than a lot of other stuff I have seen before here. It was especially nice to see those really good CGI graphics. In a game like this, you would think they might look silly, but these actually work well. I like how the 2D effects of the land contrast with those effects. I would definitley recommend this to anyone who likes games like this, although it was hard to tell what kind of game it was.

FightClub69 responds:

The genre is called 'god games', it was very popular for a while back in the 80's but has gradually changed (IMHO the new 'god games' aren't as much fun as the old ones were)

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
