Pretty good

I really didn't think this was one of your best. What really drew me into this series originally was how you managed to use that effect of penciling everything in to really add a story and give the characters depth, but there really wasn't much of that. Still, it had a lot of good things in it, especially with how the lines are drawn (I do love those squiggly lines that appear at first to be sort of rough but then you realize they did take time and effort to make) and the moving effects were great as well.

Hey, very nice!

I was expecting something great and taht's what I found! After awhile I could tell it was going to be sort of an experimental film about life and the various cycles we achieve and how we should all look back and take note of all of the things that we have done or at least that's what I got from it. It was pretty creative and artful at that.

PapaLongLegs responds:

thank you, yes you got it spot on!

Recursion!

I like how it became an infinite loop (geez, have I been looking into that stuff that much recently?). Anyway, I was really impressed by the animation (it just goes to show you don't need color to do something great) and the music was also good, but I was a bit disappointed by how it didn't have much of a story. It needs improvement in that area.

Xanmar responds:

Thanks for the review.
And to tell you the truth, it wasn't really supposed to have a story... At all.
I just started animating, and this is what came out.

Cancelled?

Aww, man, this stuff was cancelled before it managed to even take off! I'm sorry if you didn't get as much praise as you thought you'd get from this, but I was at least able to remember its history on your website and am now glad to have it here on Newgrounds. The voicework is as great as ever and so is the animation and the obvious Willy Wonka parody.

TmsT responds:

Well dang, it looks like DNF is going to be released after all. Dare I make a StrifeToons 4? I mean, I did *start* it...

It's here!

Well, I'm glad this was submitted to Newgrounds as it's a great series (and may in fact be your first in an going series with actual plot or at least one made by you in animation). I especially love how stupid Doom Marine sounds, and it's also nice that you looked into the satire and the politics behind making those video game movies that nobody likes.

Woah...

This was a very interesting flash to watch. I suppose the Ryu character is based on Ichigo from "Bleach", although I don't know much about that. It's also very strange to see the art shift from pixellation to dirty animation especially when Ryu had a boner in the beginning (?). It was also fun to see Naruto characters just walk around for no reason. All in all, a very strange cartoon but a great one as well! The action scenes were done just right and I really like the use of voices here.

Hyper-Shadow-Death responds:

The main character Ryu is the same character as Ichigo from Bleach in the sprites but his personality is completely different. Heh I know that the mixing the two art styles would be a strange combination but I had to try it out. Yes Ryu had morning wood when he woke up lol Naruto characters were placed in the city as town people because they looked similar to the main character's sprites so I thought it was a good idea( FF6 influenced ^_^ ). Glad you liked the action and voices, Thanks for the review!

Great!!

Woah, I was expecting this just to be a joke flash for Clock Day, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the exact opposite! You seriously put a lot of effort into this, and it's nice to see something great made from Clock Day 2007 instead of the most recent one. It's very nice to show a lot of styles and characters in the same place at one time! Congradulations!

Bill Murray week?

Ah, I thought it was nice of you to celebrate Bill Murray week. I wish I had heard about it, while I'm not a Bill Murray fan myself, it was kind of cool to hear that dialogue from that movie (which movie?) and the animation was kind of cool, but I will say that it needed more action. It still works okay for what it is and sorry that it took me so long to wish you a Happy Bill Murray week!

biblo responds:

what kind of asshole isn't a bill murray fan?

There you go again!

I always enjoy watching your wacky cartoons and this had everything I could've asked for! Okay, maybe it could've used more length but it still worked well as an addition to your goofy and ridiculous stuff! Apparently, women falling with boobs flapping around turns animals into having super-strength. As always, great animation.

TheBoogley responds:

wait, look at this equation and tell me you're not disturbed by it;

Woman + falling + boobs flapping around = super strength animals

I feel sick {:0

I know it

I like how you talked about beating a dead horse when I realized that this was almost an exact copy of something you made a long time ago featuring Tom Cruise doing the same thing to everyone. I also like how you're getting into political satire while I familiate myself more with your parodies of movies and shows and stuff. It's a great transition and also has decent animation.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
