It's been awhile

Wow, I'm actually surprised anyone even remembered that "ChalkZone!" cartoon. It's probably the least popular Nicktoon they ever came out with. Anyway, this was great fun to watch because it really deconstructs the idea of childhood imagination. You lose most of your ambition as you get older. The animation was great in this, particularly with how the chalk world contrasted with Rudy's real world. I had no idea you could draw like that!

It was even a bit hard to recognize your art style. The voices were great and it seems like that's actually how the characters would sound in that scenario. It's funny because I am actually 22 myself. With all the crap that's been going on with me lately, I can totally associate myself with Rudy. It's a different and well done cartoon from you.

Great Destiny Man!

I was thinking this would be more humorous, but it really wasn't. It's interesting to see these characters get introduced and then killed so easily. Moral: Always be sure to get drunk or high or whatever on fruits to avoid slaughter by Great Desinty Man. Good thing spleens are one of the few organs we do not need. Wait, that doesn't matter as this guy is already dead. Anyway, the thing that really made it was the great animation as good as ever.

It seems like you really try to portray all the stock characters we think of in these situations and put them in play. It could have had some more fighting, but still fun to watch. I can see a real story appearing in these cartoons. While not one of your best, it's great to see you look into all different kinds of settings and locations to work yourself with. The rest of the series should be as popular.

Good lesson

I have little idea if this is supposed to be authentic, but given how smart you are, it probably is. The best part was the educational value. The funniest part was probably when you mentioned going down like your mother. Mandarin apparently has more than twice as many speakers as English, so it's great people learn it. A pity there's both a written and spoken language that you have to learn. I just wish that this was perhaps a little more elaborate.

I guess that in terms of educational value, I was expecting something like Mario teaching us. I guess I have been on the Internet too long to think otherwise. The animation that was there was pretty good. You would think the most used language in the entire world would be easier to learn. In English, you really don't care much about tone.

Why do you keep believing me?

This reminded me of the asdf sketches a lot. When I first heard the title "Action Bunnies" I thought it was going to be similar to "Bunnykill". I guess bunnies are just subject to being blown up and mutilated, huh? The voices were good in this one and I like how smoothly everything moved. I think there were a total of eleven sketches. The weirdest one was probably the lobster part. I love how so much emphasis is put in the characters' body movements.

The faces really do the talking. I am so glad it was not just a single sketch at the beginning with those hats. I think the funniest one was probably the one where the bunny defies the sign and jumps over the grass only to get electricuted. You'd think something with this title would be a bit more serious. The designs remimd me of Poninjas.

Wakka wakka!

This was interesting to watch because it really puts into perspective how the characters take themselves seriously. I love how Count Vile has a fairly deadpan style. Well, nowhere as deadpan as Johnson of course. I was thinking he was going to say that the yellow ghost represented cowardiness. While it was cut a bit too short, cutting a swear off like that is always pretty funny thing. I love how there's so much depth in his voice.

Yes, it does make an annoying sound. The funniest part was probably when Vile was at a loss for words when the pink ghost showed up. Something with no mouth can't be that intimidating. It was cool with that art shift showing the Necromonicon or whatever book it was in the middle. This makes you wonder what the true origin of Pac-Man is.

Attack of the blobs!

Probably the only thing I didn't like about this was that it was not in color. Everything else was pretty much flawless. I loved how these monstrosities just turned into each other over and over. There are a lot of infinite loop submissions here, but yours are the ones that truly work the best. They know how to put order into what they do. It's the kind of thing you can look up at and always see new things.

The music is great, and the animation is wonderfully fluid. The cartoon itself sounds like something that would be in a zen riddle. When do these creatures start and when do they end? You do the surrealist community great credit with this awesome stuff. There's even quite a few variations in what they do. I hope you never lose your touch!

thanks again for yet another lovely and detailed review. Knowing that there are people like you out there enjoying my work really motivates me to create my best work. I plan to eventually colour this and refine the drawing, but this is the best I can do for this one month deadline.

What effect?

This was one of the best in the series you have made. It really works because it goes on long enough for you to truly enjoy it. It really got outrageous when everyone kept barfing everywhere with all the flying stuff. The parrot was also a great effect as he just randomly spoke stuff I didn't understand. Everyone is just presented in the goofiest fashion here and it all works so well. The fat guy in the green shirt easily has the best voice.

It's great to hear him go nuts over everything. It's hilarious how his big fat body just runs everywhere in such a funny manner. It kind of makes me glad that I don't even go to Facebook that often. I had no idea he was going to eat the cell phone and mouse cord at the end. It also makes me glad that I have a wireless keyboard.

It deserves it!

Dude, you definitley deserve the reward for Daily Feature for Robot Day 2011! The coolest thing about this was the animation. At first, I thought it was kind of cheesy, but it definitley got better as it went on. You really went out of your way to put a lot of body movements into these ridiculous characters. If this was an actual thesis for school, I hope you passed with flying colors! It just shows you how a holiday can influence a person. It is the best submission I saw for this Robot Day, as you might have guessed.

The helmets looked a lot like the kind used in that game "Ching Chong" something. It's not as much about robots as it is about cyborgs. Of course, I'm being too picky because this is a fantastic cartoon! For those who haven't seen it, the final sentence contains spoilers. I imagined it would be real after all at the end, but not with the bird!

Nogfish responds:

thanks! there will be a sequel ;)
