It's hard to judge experimental flashes, because well, they're experimental. In my eyes, they're mostly just made for the purpose of making something. That being said, I still wasn't too fond of this. It just seemed to be the same image over and over, and it wasn't a song that I am familiar with or that I find to be particularly good. It actually does look like that's a well designed robot. I am glad you submitted it on Robot Day.
It's a pity it didn't win anything with the high rating that it has now. I think its weakest point might be that the color seems off at times. Then again, I doubt it was even supposed to be that good. Dancing is fun, but when it's just that and nothing else with the robot, it's not very interesting to look at. Having plot is more desirable.
Wow, I was not expecting this to be another music video. I thought Weebl might be credited, but it's something you've apparently been working on by myself. I love this because of how ridiculous it is. How can you get cocaine into a gorilla's stomach without it dying or ingesting the cocaine? The answers might just confuse us more with the questions. I am glad that I have gotten to know these characters more.
It's nice how you consistently keep up this great style of animation. The scariest character is probably the transsexual or whatever that she-man is. It's great to see how everything flows so well in this. Infinite loops should be used more, it can be strenuous pressing those replay buttons over and over! This really did have a story too.
Well, it's kind of hard to say anything good or bad about it, because it really evens out. The good part about it is that the animation is good. I especially like Pikachu's cameo in this. What struck me as unentertaining was the fact that it was just this guy from Inuyasha dancing. I especially didn't like seeing his genitalia flopping all around. It seems like you should have put an "Adult" rating on this. I can't tell if that's his nipple or some shading spot on his body.
The music is alright. Of course, this is a spam flash, so it's not intended to be good. I guess that you really did succeed in that sense and you can proud of your success. At least it's probably better than most spam flashes. Is this really supposed to be celebrating the birthday of Sesshomaru, because I don't know what other purpose it has.
I rated the animation properly. The option are..
Nudity:
None, Mild and excessive.
Since theres only 1 naked character... and he's chibi.. i would have to say mild, Newgrounds instantly puts on the rating so dont blame me~ *shrugs*
Anyways~ i appreciate the fact you understand i wasnt trying to make anything amazing, it annoys me terribly when i get serious critique on a crap i made just for the "LOL's".
As i said in the description, It was made for a friend's birthday.
I sure have stumbled upon some pretty weird things lately. I think the strongest point about this was how good the animation was. The characters all look so three dimensional or rather, they don't. It's weird to see how this kid grew up to become insane, seeing everything turned into wood. I knew there would be a joke about getting splinters at the end. At first I thought the sherieff's name was a pun on McGuyver.
Upon closer inspection, it really isn't like that at all. The best thing about this was probably how authentic the Old West style felt. I was thinking you'd make something more graphic, but this makes it work better. The characters just seem to have really good emotion in this. I am glad to have viewed another one of your great cartoons.
Congradulations on doing the Clock Crew good with this! I really can not say that it's good or bad, because it only has one thing in it that's appealing. I know nothing about how to write in Arabic. It's actually a fairly commonly used language, so I have seen it several times. The best thing about this is that it doesn't have anything bad in it. This is mostly because it really doesn't much except that one word.
I can't dislike this because you wanted to pay tribute to StrawberryClock. The Ed Wood of flash movies should get his respects. I can't really suggest for you to improve, because there is simply no way that you would want to. It looks like you had a good Clock Day from the high ratings this managed to get. It's been awhile since I've seen something from Clock Day 2006.
I don't even know if I've ever reviewed something from you, InsulinpumpClock. I have to say that you have one of the most unique clock designs I've ever seen! You really seem to be going beyond the norm with this. That being said, it really wasn't that great, but it still had some good twists for what it was worth. My favorite bit was probably seeing your design, as previously mentioned. It's amazing you have worked on over 32 of these entries!
I would have to say I prefer your Pube Muppet submissions more. It's still nice to experiment. I remember that fat guy from "DuckTales". Jokes about fat people becoming diabetics are actually rather funny to me. Call me crude, but you see so many people acting like morons with the food, you realize they have to be careful with it.
Your icon looks familiar. You probably have reviewed one of my movies before.
Sigh. Ok this is going to take a while to explain.
I am Insulinpump. I am also Dekathos. I co authored myself so all my movies would show up in one account and Dekathos gets more attention ( i assume because it's older and has more movies).
I can't post on the frontpage with Insulin either.
So if you reviewed anything authored by Dekathos you reviewed my movies.
Sasucule is my brother. If he does voices or writing or anything he gets coauthored. He actually drew Doofus years ago which is the "fat guy" when I made Ducktales stuff. He voiced Doofus. I voiced Launchpad.
I have not actually worked on 32 of these. I made 5 and worked with sherclock on #16. Sherclock started it and he has made the most. Romancollar has made 3. We coauthor Sherclock. So all of these will be in his account.
Even chris the stick2 has made one! I wouldn't want people to think that I am the only one. Anyone can make one if they want. Obviously I would love that.
I agree the design is weird and I think it's hilarious. I love the character's dead pan expression. Sherclock designed it like that for this particular series.
My original design when I made clock movies was a little more conservative. I actually left the clock crew. But I guess it's hard to tell huh? I really don't want these to be associated with clock crew, at least the ones I make, but it's a bit impossible to escape that because of it's origins. Like I said to someone else, hey Insulin doesn't have a clock in these so does it really count?
I just want to make some stuff once in a while that are easy and don't drive me nuts. Did you know my pube muppet flash actually took more effort? Well I'll never make another one of those again ever. I'm glad you appreciated them though. I think they were very tongue in cheek. Thanks for leaving a considerate review and taking me on a trip down memory lane. I don't think I've left a response this lengthy in a long time.
Oh and yeah and I do like to poke fun at obesity. I am a diabetic but I am girlishly skinny. So do I still get "joke Immunity"?
Wow, this is a great submission because of how sweet the animation was! It was kind of like Cuboy, only even better. I especially love how there are just so many things going on. The only problem is that it really is pretty hard to keep up with the fast lyrics! At least some of them are written onscreen. It's just great to see how well dimensioned these characters look in this. Every person seems to be protruding from the scene itself.
It just goes to show how much variety you can use. I'm not going to say it was related to Christmas because it had toys in it. It works great as a satire, which kind of makes me glad that I am beyond the age of buying toys. Hopefully, we will all grow up soon enough. The voice acting was great, particularly with how it seemed to echo.
Hey thanks. It's good to get feedback from someone who's made so many reviews :) Man, the style's kind of hard to get used to. It's very geometric and would be easily left that way, but I tried to add some flexibility and motion in the movements. Next time I'll do better, although I can't imagine when I'll have time for a new one.
Hopefully the visuals help explain the lyrics and vice-versa. I'll try to put the lyrics up soon. I agree, it's not specifically about X-mas, but it fits very well as far as timing. It contrasts well with the "buy buy buy" b.s. that we're hammered with at this time of the year.
Lead and mercury, man, crazy stuff. It dulls the mind and can even make people act insane if the contamination goes too far. If it acted fast like in the animation, I think a lot more people would be aware of it.
Well, I'm proud to give this the highest rated review so far. I think the thing I enjoyed most about this was how good the sprites were. My problems are that the moving sprite work wasn't that impressive. It also seemed a bit boring, as I expect more action in something like this. It reminds me of Kirbopher's TTA with the dialogue boxes. It seems like you could also have more reason for what's going on.
I actually think Dragonball Z/Sailor Moon is the most popular fan crossover there is. There's even more fanfics of it than Digimon/Pokemon. You could be a bit more clear on what's going on. It just kind of seems like you have mashed these characters together with little rhyme or reason. You can always have room for improvement of course.
Personally though/ I am not trying to really fallow trends, i'm trying encourage people to upload and do there own stuff. and as for the text, i used text boxes for the simple fact i don't really know how to get the text to match the characters with it being confusing i'm trying to do a good thing by basically telling people not to give into peer pressure and release what you want. that's what i'm hoping to do.- that's why i don't fallow trends. and i'm not looking to make one, all though i hope it gets popular.
Wow, this was hard to judge because there were just so many things going on. I could swear that there were different people who were working on the animation. If not, then I have to give you credit for being so awesome! The best part about this was probably the animation. I also love how Tom goes insane at the end and kills everyone. As the guy in the building said, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
It's funny, because I was interviewed today and asked about what I thought about the redesign. It's not something that's on my mind. It will happen eventually, as I have noted the different designs we have gone through. It looked like it was heavily influenced by LazyMuffin. I am surprised it only has a score of 3.35.
This was a very strange entry for Newgrounds. It was actually not that bad, but it just confused me so much. I guess it doesn't help that I am in no way familiar with the first episode in the series. Still, it's nice how you seemed to have really created your own weird world with this submission. The special effects are actually good. I was thinking the monkey would be a Mankey (from Pokemon) but I don't think he was.
I especially love how there's this big cat doing all this silly stuff. It probably helps that I am such a huge fan of cats and like anything with them in it. I guess you could make it so that there's more of an ongoing story. Whatever the intention was, it's definitley something out of the ordinary. You have brought something new to the table.
Ha i read your review few times. Each time I read i realize how right u r. I do live in a weird world and it's awesome that I can share it's weirdness to all of you here. Thanks for the review and hope u follow the series :)
