Fairly disappointing

I guess I can not really hate this submission, because it does have pretty good animation where it is. It really does not succeed my expectations because there were icons of boobs on the preview image! It doesn't help that there was little going on in this. I guess you were trying to be decent by not showing us actually loli. That "Hare Hare Yukai" music and dance will simply never get old. I suggest that next time you work on making it more like the preview icon.

Then again, I did not pay much attention to the author's comments which did explain it. This could be much better in itself by probably being longer and having more jokes. I did like it how you could go back. The intro (well the icon at least) was pretty good. I hope you learn to take some time to do some more work on the premise.

i am a disappointment...ever since Vietnam i haven't been the same.

Close to decent

I am glad there are some people who do not just submit a single page for Clock Day. It's amazing how every single one made seemed to make it into the collection! It was also great to see CheetoClock, as I believe this is the first time I have seen him in action. He has a good design with the orange shades on him. It's also cool to see the characters go across the ocean like that. For something that uses Speakaphone (or whatever that is) it's amazing how you can put emotion in the voices.

The biggest weakness was that there was no music. A lot of times there were intervals of no sound at all and it got a little annoying. I think there might also be a glitch when the characters leave after defeating CabbageClock or ArtichokeClock or whoever that was. I think the animation culd also be a bit better, but it is traditional clock style. This is the second Clock flash I have seen where StrawberryClock appears as a bad driver.

thank you my good man

Woah...

This was a great way to get into the series if only because of that "tralala" song. That guy at the beginning is easily the best character in the entire show. I like how you do a recap because there are simply so many of these lengthy episodes it's hard to keep up! You showed a great deal of detail in this, especially with the wide shot of everyone in the town. The only thing that was missing was some action. If not for that, I would have given this a perfect 5.

This is still great because you have no clue what's going to happen next. It was weird how there was some spoken dialogue mixed in with just the words on the screen. The ending credits were just great, I wish there was more of that in the actual flash! I could not help but think you were influenced by Kirbopher's "TTA" series. Yeah, that's just wishful thinking.

Clovis15 responds:

I'm really glad you liked Fritz's Flashback sequence. Gaspar, the narrator, was first introduced because - thanks to College - the episodes were extremely far apart after I first took over. He then stayed around, even when things picked up a bit, because everyone loved him so much. I'm sorry that the series is often action lite, but in staying true to the original creator's vision - Cryokenetic - CTU is a primarily dialogue driven affair. I do try to spice it up with stuff every now and then, and Episode 25 in particular should have something particularly spicy in it that hopefully will be a "Thriller".

I love TTA, but I did not discover it until the summer of 2010... well after the time it had already died.

This was good

I was hoping for some more action particularly with how the guy was captured, but this was still good. While not as influential as the Brackenwood series, I can see this becoming popular. The best thing is the animation and how smoothly everything flows. It is good that you did not try to go for anything superficial. The funniest part of it was when the enemies were being set on fire slowly. I have no idea what any of the words used in this mean, especially the title.

It got better as it went along, so it stalled a little in the beginning. It was pretty unpredictable with how the butterfly cut the guy free. I doubt there was any deep meaning to this, just a simple story was what you intended. The music is very good, especially at the very end. I can tell you put a lot of effort into making the landscapes.

exotworking responds:

Thanks for the review. The meaning behind things is what you perceive, so my intentions are secondary.

No Goofy?

I was looking forward to seeing Goofy (the Disney character) in this and it was too bad he was not there. I thought that maybe this would be a parody of "A Goofy Movie" or something. This really goes on for too long. The animation/effects are quite poor, paraticularly with how the cartoon guys exist in the real world. There some good parts, like how you shot the cartoon dudes at the end. This is really not even the kind of website a video like this should be.

I do not have a problem with the occasional live-action video here (well, this did have animation). That's how we got "Numa Numa"! The thing I do not like is when the quality is low. I guess I can not really hate this submission because you yourself stated it was not intended to be good. It still was not entertaining to me.

InfamousD responds:

Don't recall stating that it was not intended to be good. I suggest you get your eyes checked an read more carefully, ho!

Looks good

This was fairly entertaining to watch and it was good to see all of those voices and songs. The animation was simply gorgeous at least in terms of how the camera worked and the background. The downsides was that the character animation could have been better. It is a little hard to take this seriously when her breasts bounce as she is running. I don't know, maybe if she was hotter, I wouldn't care. This still has a great atmosphere to it and really keeps you guessing.

There was not that much action but you are trying to first set up your characters and story. Congrats on managing to make it into the Christmas 2009 section. This could use some more dialogue as it got confusing. What matters is that it does seem to have an original design and for the most part it works. The transition effects are good too.

Vortex00 responds:

Thanks. hopefully I can get better at animation and story telling.

Not as good as the first one

The first submission you had here was really great, but this was not so much. Do not get me wrong, I thought the animation was nice and everything. It just seems like you could have put more effort into making something like this. It does work really well as a short cycle but that's not the sort of thing we expect on this website. At least you have good animation and were nice enough to use that classic music. I never played "Yoshi's Island" as a kid (or an adult) but I recognize this music.

I think the thing you really want to look for is if there are things popping up in the background. While not the most creative, there a couple of those things that show up. The best example of detail is probably the blue mountains. Many things here have a lot of designs even if it does not come off as elaborate. I believe you said, "Link in comments", but I don't see a link in the author comments.

JoelOnToast responds:

Sorry to hear you were expecting a lot more from this. It was more of a little gift to my girlfriend and an experiment than anything.

It'll be the last loop animation I'll submit to this site, so dont you worry about that.

Right in the middle

This was a fairly mediocre flash and it looks like you had a nice Clock Day indeed. I believe the purple thing was supposed to be thdrk. It was strange because I can usually just assume that every character in a Clock Day flash is going to be a clock. He looks a lot like Black Doom from the "Shadow The Hedgehog" game. I was kind of expecting more of a climax. It just seemed a little pointless to be showing it go into night and then really have nothing come out of it.

There are so many clocks I could have sworn I saw a GoldenClock who looked nothing like this. I guess I just thought he would resemble a gold bar more. The animation in this was fairly standard and if nothing else, it was harmless. You could, however, use some more jokes and action. I liked the child voice at the end.

KombuchananClock responds:

Still at it and still getting dates wrong, huh?

Shine on, Ericho.

What day?

I have no idea what day you are celebrating, but you appear to be doing something with the "Day X" thing. I also do not know what this had to do with chocolate. Oh yeah, TriangleClock eats DwarfinatorClock's poop and it's supposed to look like chocolate. The animation in this was fairly good and I was eager to know when he was going to eat someone's soul. I almost thought he was already eating a guy's soul with the poop! There still could have been some more action, though.

The intro with the ocean waves was really cool. It will probably sadly be the last time I see that today or really ever. I was expecting somebody to yell out "Eat Da Poo Poo"! Dang, that meme will never stop being hilarious to me as long as I live. You seem to be loyal to the Clock Crew and let me say you also have a pretty creative Clock name.

ClockOfBlob responds:

It's the Flash Flood (Where we flood the portal with flashes) and I am making a flash a day for january. Also, thanks for the compliment.
