Now that was crazy

Nearly everything you guys work on seems to at least get a rating of over 4.00. This had a lower rating than that, but it still managed to be really good. I was thinking that you were going to reference the "F*cking Magnets, How Do They Work?" meme. This was great to watch because it was completely random. Were the birds going to pluck out the giant breasts or were they going for the crabs or whatever the other things were? You guys have a great spirit about how silly you are.

You had no idea what was going to happen next. Seriously, if you thought that dropping magnets down a toilet resulted in breasts appearing in this cartoon, I would have called you crazy. It seemed as though the water seemed to be going away at first. I then realized I should focus my attention on the much bigger thing of the boobs everywhere. Thank you for making this short, but sweet.

DestructoBox responds:

While it's actually a lake full of dead fish, the idea of a boob lake is very intriguing.

Thanks for the review

Tofu?

I could have sworn that I saw this before, but maybe it was just a demo or something. This was really cool to watch because it had a great sense of adventure and action. The animation really made it. While it was not the most original of ideas, it still had a lot of things going for it. As there is no dialogue, you are really allowed to let the action do the talking and in something driven by good animation, that really works. The best part is probably when she fires that white ball at the chamber thing.

I really have no clue at all what is going on in this cartoon, but niether do I in a lot of other ones. The animation style was authentic and there was so much detail put into it. This was also a great use of colors and shading as everything looked so unique. Now that I think about it, I think I have in fact heard of that graphic novel before. While not that long, it manages to be really cool and fun.

danomano65 responds:

Hey thanks for the review. You put a lot of thought into it.

Fairly nice

At first, I thought this was a fighting game because it certainly seemed like it was nice. The best part about this was that the animation was really good. I especially like the background with all those paintings. Granted, they really had nothing to do with the theme of the cartoon but they are still nice to look at. It also took a little bit to realize that it started on its own as one complaint would be that it did take awhile to load. Anyway, this was great fun to see these robots fight each other.

I have no clue who the robot besides Bender is or if he's supposed to be an original character. I suggest you turn this into a game because it definitley has potential. While a little short, it still does a good job of delivering the goods. Many of the animation styles seem to contrast with each other in simple appearance. This was an enjoyable cartoon to watch and you obviously have some talent.

DoomedChi responds:

Thank you

What?

Now this is one of those submissions where I can not decide to give it zero stars or ten stars. As I have stated before, when facing a decision like that, just go in the middle. It started out seeming way too simple to be any good, but it actually got better as it went on! I think you really have potential to do something good, you just need improvement. First, you should try not to make it an infinite loop although I could not help you with that. You could also try putting more color in.

Your artwork actually reminded me of David Firth. You should probably also work on your sketches, because they look a tad rough. The biggest thing you can do is probably make it longer and put in some more detail. You are off to a fine start at least. The music could have probably fitted the stuff going on a bit better, too.

argile responds:

Thanks for the reasonable feedback, I'm pleased that you've taken the time to write some constructive criticism a lot of the reviewers don't do that a lot normally a few them just leave a few one liner sentences telling you how much it rocks or sucks and call it a day. I wouldn't say that I take major influence from David Firth but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like some of his creations...

It may be a little difficult for me to take upon those improvements but I don't plan to stick around with the same level of work you see at the moment.

Experimental for you!

If this did not have the author's name, I would have never guessed that it was you. While you are known for working on non-sequitor stuff, this was still really different. It is just great that you are planning on an entirely new style of animation for you. As for me, well, I probably will never make an onigori crane. I remember going to this one place where I worked on paper airplanes but the only thing I remember from it is that you can just crumble up a piece of paper and throw it to make it go fast. The music was really cool too.

This submission works because it has a lot of heart to it. It seems like you really wanted to show the audience how to make a paper crane. It works great as an infinite loop because if you are working on one, you can just keep watching this all day. I liked the colors and all of the lines are drawn very neatly. While I do like your other sort of animation better, this was certainly a treat.

TheBoogley responds:

thanks Ericho, it was nice to try something new and I was a little nervous about what people would think of it. It seems to be going down well so i'm very happy!

Not much

I have decided to give you a "1" because you have introduced me to yet another clock. Of course, I have seen so many of them I have lost track. I hope you had a great Clock Day as it was certainly better than the one I had with my submission. I assume the main author is supposed to be a parody of HappyHarry perhaps? It got annoying with how the music kept going on and on. You should try out for an off switch or something next time.

I can not tell what your true intentions were for this, oh wait, now I realize it was spam. Well, it looks like you certainly got your wish. Next time, I think you should try having a lot more going on instead of just a single screen. If it is a single screen, then you probably should put in some audio about your political views or something meaningful. I guess the animation of KidneyClock is not too bad.

harryjarry responds:

KidneyClock is a clock that you don't want to lose track of! Keep that in mind!! It was a great Clock Day if I recall correctly! I hope you have a better one next time! Oh no, the username harryjarry has nothing to do with HappyHarry (I've heard Hamy-jamy too, haha). Maybe next Clock Day we'll go for something more complex!

Spam? If that means fun! Our political views are the KidneyClock should be king! And rule all! KidneyClock appreciates your comments and will remember them after the crown has been taken!

Poor guy

When I heard of "Flounderman" it was something from an episode of "Spongebob Squarepants". The strange thing was that this did not seem to be about anybody who was like a flower. Heck if I even know what "Kombuchanan" means. The best part of this was easily seeing how great the giant robot looked like. It seems like you were really mocking the anime robot genre by showing that and ending up with a fail. It is a pity this was not submitted on Clock Day.

Then again, you had a different logo (which seems to show StrawberryClock with a vagina or something?) so you probably intended it to be something different. Not that SBC would probably even mind. This was better than a lot of other clock things people submitted that got high scores at least. The animation with the giant monster was not that great, but I doubt you cared. Maybe you can show the robot in use next time.

KombuchananClock responds:

You write way too many reviews, dude.

Looks great

The best thing about this is that you really put something new in the Madness series by showing the bodies like that. The way they are all torn up and still come back to life is pretty unique. It just goes to show that this series' tributes can simply never end. Now it is just a trailer so there is not that much action shown, but it definitley makes you anticipate what is coming up. It was cool to have a second character show up. When you have more than one guy, it makes it a little more realistic.

Well, these are zombies so it's obviously not intended to be realistic. The way the camera works (well, I guess it's a cartoon so there isn't really a camera being used) is really cool. The best shot is of the second guy killing the zombie in the dark. The way the bullets hit the enemies are well done too. While this seems to have a story, I doubt it will matter much with the final product.

Deathisawesome responds:

Actually, I will put a LOT of effort into making a good story. And it won't be something you usually see, as I'm aiming to make it as unique as possible. And I'm glad you liked the camera-moves, as I will use those a lot to :)
Thanks for an awesome review :D

I have wondered

It's been so long since I've looked at that thing on my mattress I have forgotten how easy it is to make jokes about it. The thing is, I actually read the answer to that in a book. I do not remember exactly what it said, but I think it was okay to do it. It seemed like this was made for one of those color collabs that was something the site did awhile ago. Blue is one of my favorite colors, so I liked the shading. While not the most original of concepts, it still manages to be entertaining pretty well.

The best part was probably at the end with the guy squatting over the guy they shot so many times. It looked like he was trying to take a dump on him or something. Hey, they were nice enough to shoot him so many times in non-lethal areas! The drawings were good, it's just that you could have used more of a punchline. While not the greatest, this is something good for a quick laugh to watch.

Chimbley responds:

thanks Ericho!

But that's it!

Wow, with something like this I was not expecting anything epic at all, but you really got it down well! The best part was how well you seemed to imitate this guy's voice. I have no idea what this guy sounds like, but you put a great voice on it. Gee, how meta can you be when you are reviewing another review? This guy's main fault was that he used bad grammar and just came off as negative. The funniest part was probably when you went out of your way to define "contrail".

It seems to be a major disappointment as this guy may in fact be the most famous reviewer on the website now! Guys like me who make thousands of stuff would never get a tribute video. Speaking as one of the most prolific reviewers on this website, I would know a thing or two about writing reviews. You really knew how to lay the words out all over the screen. Let's hope all reviewers can learn from this guy!

RicePirate responds:

Ericho, a lot of know how awesome you are in terms of taking the time to really review pieces :) Don't think your investment is completely overlooked :)

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
