Metal Slug is cool

The best part about this was probably how it used the Metal Slug sprites well. It could have been more spread out because while I did not have to care about resolution, it was a little hard to see everybody. The background was fairly good and so was the music. It was just an infinite loop so I am glad you guys marked it as "Spam". As this was Clock Day, I am still impressed by how you managed to get such a high score. Next time, you should have more action and not just some random stuff.

Fro responds:

Next time I will actually make a good submission.

Colin!

I was disappointed to find out that this had nothing to do with animutation, as that is what I think of when I think about Colin Mochrie on Newgrounds. I did, however, think that it was alright. While it was nothing but an infinite loop, it was fairly good for that. I love how silly Colin looks and how he just fluidly moves his body around for no reason. The music was alright, I think I might have heard it here somewhere before. The motions themselves are so repetitive, you can get mesmirized by watching it! It looks like it's trying to imitate a flower, specifically one blooming.

Punisher responds:

Wow. A decent and accurate review from you?
Fucking miracles.

Happy Halloween, I guess

I know little about Uzbekistan. In fact, I think the only places where I heard it was when "Borat" made fun of it, or the fact that I used to work in this one place with a person who was from Uzbekistan. Due to this, I was not able to understand if you really understood the country and the humor was spot-on. I can, however, conclude that you probably do and this was fairly good. The funniest part was probably when the Uzbek was running around chasing the chicken. The animation was not too bad and it kind of reminded me of "South Park".

MonoFlauta responds:

Great, glad you like it :)

Hey, not bad at all!

Oh, I thought you were Yoink at first, but I got some of the letters mixed up. Anyway, this was a good submission because it had a really cute premise to it. The animation was standard, and like I expected, it tried to appeal to Internet fandom by throwing in a chainsaw and stuff. The music was good and it was in no way irritating or anything. It's just cute how these little brush people or whatever they are run around everywhere. Thank you for the author's comments, as I was wondering what those words meant and what language they were in.

YouriX responds:

Funny that you should say that because i sometimes get my name mixed up with Yoink too XD

Yes i need to improve on my animation skills more but i think i got the idea of animating a decent serie pretty well :P

Anyways thanks for the review :)

Nice for a gif

It is still fascinating to me how so many people contribute to something that appears to just be an infinite loop. I guess this is fine for a gif appearing on another website, but it just seems out of place for Newgrounds. It was interesting to see a crew/legion/whatever being introduced that had the word as a prefix rather than a suffix. I can actually understand it more now that I read the author's comments. I hope you guys had a happy Clock Day and are having a happy Halloween today, too. I notice how the gun keeps changing what it is.

Fro responds:

yeah

I see a spot in the statistics

This was not that good to watch, because it was just the same image the entire thing. The thing that's bad is that this is actually a nice picture in its own right. If you had put this in the art portal, I imagine it would get far better reviews. As you are a member of the Clock Crew, you probably do not care that much about winning positive awards anyway. I guess next time you should add a lot more animation. There was some heart put into this, but you still need to show your creativity off better.

SirCannabisClock responds:

fun fact: I did submit it to the art section and currently the score is worse with no reviews at all.

But for the most part I agreed with everything else you said.

Does need improvement

I guess the artwork could have been worse, but the main flaw with this is that it just lacked in creativity. You really needed more sound effects as everything was basic. I guess it was not terrible, but quite bland. You should work with shadings and stuff with your flash and it would be great if you threw in some voice actors (I would definitley want to help, hee hee). There was just not much about this that was unique at all, and with all the things being submitted, you need to have more things just to stand out. Oh well, Happy Halloween I suppose.

Abracadabra123 responds:

Yeah. If I can find a good bitmap to flash vector convertor who can work with SWF easy, the artworks will be improved. Anyway, I make movies for fun only. Not to win an award or becaume a popular author.

Was that real audio from the game?

I have no idea that was the Valve logo nor do I really have any idea what the Valve logo even is. What matters is that you did a parody of a truly awesome game. Granted, I have never played it myself so I can not judge, but at least the cutscenes look fantastic. The funniest part was probably when that one guy got punched who was talking about "Team Fortress 2". The animation was really good, but it was a bit hard to understand what the message of it was. Well, I mean the genre, as what it was was clearly stated in the title.

Falconer02 responds:

Hey, thanks a lot! Admittedly it is kind of an inside joke for people who play Valve games, but fortunately they're all quite popular games. L4D rocks, so I highly suggest you play it.

I counted!

There were exactly 24 kills in this entire cartoon! It was interesting to see how the plot advanced as I was a bit confused by how it was a dream at first. It was really cool to see the characters transform into zombies gradually. There could have been some more action, but it is nice to focus on character development every now and then. There were TONS of posters and words in the background and here is one that was shown on the title screen.

The Hollywood Faggotry
OMG! NEW CELEBRITY BULLSHIT!
Brittany Spears as a zombie. As if anything changed right?
OMG shocking celeb news! Miley Cyrus is having a big party in her mansion! But who's alive and that much of a faggot to even go!!
Yup! While 3/4's of the world's population is proven to be dead, we're still fucking faggots who stalk celebrities and make shitty news coveregees about whatever the fuck they do. Reports indicate that almost every single overrated Disney star is now either dead or a zombie! More on Page 2.

LittleLuckyLink responds:

Thank you :]
I'm glad people noticed the newspapers and secret stuff

All-star!

I think this may in fact set the record for the most voices ever used in a flash cartoon here! I kept thinking again of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" especially when you mentioned the angel or something like that. The animation was not great, but it was fairly satisfying. It is a bit hard to get into the story but what matters is that you put so much emotion into these characters and their facial features. Everyone really gave depth to the character he or she was voicing. I am surprised this series is not more popular.

AdamTilford responds:

It's a bit hard because each scene of an entire episode is broken up. So it drags.

I really recommend watching the full episode versions. I have them streaming on my site.

Nah, the "Angels" is just the name of a special forces like team. Nothing like Eva.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
