Don't know why

It is hard to pinpoint exactly why, but I just thought this was a really amazing cartoon. I guess it was mostly because the animation was really good, probably the best I have ever seen in a cooking cartoon. The best part was how you had no idea what the punchline was going to be. It was also great to include all that extra stuff about the original storyboard and other things. While it did not have much going on, the way the characters just react to each other is priceless. When was the last time I saw food prepared like that?

DrpOpZ responds:

In these times where everybody does everything, being told that you have the ability to surprise others with something "unexpected" is much more than a compliment.
Your words means a huge personal success for me :)

Thank you

It never ends, does it?

It is always nice to hear that music (dang that is everywhere nowadays), but your game needs improvement. I did not find much "advancing" into it, except more blood on the cliff. A better thing to do would be to have people come down the cliff and you could aim at that. I did kind of laugh at how you managed to make it have such a simple premise. The graphics are decent, it is just that there is not much that happens with this. I suggest some more elaborate effects and more going on next time.

Lorkas responds:

You're right, I could've made it a lot better than only this. Now that I've played it again I've realised I could've had stickmen coming down from the hole in the cliff. With enough work I could also make the cannon rotate and make it an actual game and not an interactive movie. I'm still quite happy about how it turned out graphics wise at least, given the fact that I was a 7th grader when I made this.

Thanks for writing this review Ericho, it actually gave me something to think on.

It would go something like this

It easily lives up to the notion of being made by someone young, as there is no sex in it. This made me realize that "Jaws" is a classic movie, but few people have actually written fanfiction about it. Of course, it would probably look like this. One error was that "Jaws" was not even the name of the shark as it was given no name except for "Bruce" by the filming crew. The animation does a great job of expressing child-like stuff. If I was a fan of "Jaws" at that age, well I probably would not have even seen it.

Falconer02 responds:

Thanks a lot for the informative review!

I knew it!

I just knew that the answer to that question was going to be the letter "C"! Of course, if you are going by letter grades, a better example would probably be "A". Then again, you guys did kind of subvert it by saying C was not really better than B. I guess we could go on all day debating over what letter is better. I hope you had a nice Clock Day and next time, could you please try to use the much more clear typing stuff for that? Again, even StrawberryClock's original "B" was like that, but maybe this did take more effort.

Alex-Cortes responds:

Actually you'd be surprised how long this took to make, since this was my actual first submission on NG. >_>

Meh, maybe next time I could try do something much better next time that doesn't have crummy quality. Still at the time when I submitted this the moment seemed right. Thanks for the review though.

Not terrible

I thought this was a fairly mediocre submission, and I have certainly seen a lot lazier stuff submitted for Clock Day. Well, you did miss Clock Day a bit, but you still managed to get a high score with it. I thought the animation in this was fairly good. Recursion is just something that I have always been fascinated by, so this did interest me a little. Next time, yeah, you probably should have more going on and make more of a punchline. It was a pretty good idea, just not executed in the best way.

Tails-Lock responds:

I had an idea for a movie this time, but I didn't have the time. I think I woke up pretty darn late on that day and as the submission date shows, I was 9 minutes late submitting it. I truly had no time to make anything better. I really wish I had made more effort though. I can't seem to get motivation to make a movie unless the deadline is like 3 or so hours away though and then I suddenly start flashing like mad.

Better than I thought!

It took a short time to load, so I assumed it was just going to be something really short. It turned out to have great animation and a really funny story to it! Call me morbid, but the funniest part was probably how the pig kept crushing people with blood everywhere. The gay bracelet was also pretty funny and quite unexpected. I could have sworn I saw another flash with a similar premise, but it was definitley different than this. I thought the boy in the water was going to be crushed by the pig or frozen, but he was not and still died.

AGG-ArtistGamerGal responds:

Animating blood flying everywhere is pretty fun, call me sadistic but don't knock it 'til you try it!

Wonderful animation!

This really looks like something that should be at a film festival as a short film as it is good. My only complaint is that it was weird how the crow was not flying away from the monster. This was still a very cute story because you could just notice how adorable it was. I like the great range of detail that was shown with the background and everything. I almost thought that weird monster at the beginning was supposed to be a scarecrow. BTW, the title onscreen in "Scarecrow", not "Scarecrows".

Kaloian responds:

scarecrow was take I think when this was put up and scarecrow makes more sense. You were right the first time as they are both scarecrows but it doesn't matter to me really as long as he reads as a scary monster threat thing and the crow doesn't fly away because he was the one hurt in the beginning, which is also why he lands there in the first place. I realize this is a bit vague and that is my failing in this film. Aw well, bigger and better things.

Randy-Solem?

It's submissions like these that make me miss the work of Randy Solem, as he's been gone for a long time now. This was great because it had the perfect amount of action in it. The designs for the transformations were fantastic, particularly with Sonic in that gray spiked hair form. I also like the idea of Shadow having a "son". I have yet to see the other entries in this series, but if they are as good as this one, they will be great! It was also cool to use that underrated song from Nickelback, "It's Not Over".

shadefalcon responds:

Thanks for all the kind words, but the song you referred to at the end, is by Daughtry.

Thanks for the 10.

Not just that!

You managed to become one of the highest rating flashes on the entire website! I guess on Clock Day that might not mean much, but it's certainly a heck of a lot better than I did. There were a lot of things wrong with this, especially with how it was drawn. You probably should have just typed it out like StrawberryClock did in his classic "B". It just looks not as clean as when you draw it by hand. I would suggest that next time you look to put in some sound or music to increase the chance of it being passed.

TurtleKirby101 responds:

Wow, it got into the top 50? :o

Yeah, it wasn't really very neat.

Sound and music... Well, the thing is... I don't have flash. I had to send it to Basset to make the pic into flash. I don't know if he knows how to put music in flash. If he does we could update it.

Thanks! And good luck with your own projects!

Your take on Weebl!

It seems like a lot of people make infinite loop music videos like this. This one really works because it is just so random and the animation is so well done. It's also great to hear such funny lines like, "My father never loved me" and have him get all sad. You guys are really good at pumping out random funny stuff, kind of like Monty Python. Anything that begins with mentioning a brontosaurus is going to be good! I also loved to see the return of Raptor Jesus (even if you could not see all of him).

Sexual-Lobster responds:

thanks ericho,
i'd like to keep raptor jesus going but he's a pretty detailed character with the robes and the teeth and all so making him do anything takes ages.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
