I admit that this is a nice submission. I just have no idea whatsoever what the title is supposed to mean. This seemed more like it was about some sugar game. I guess it was supposed to be ironic or something? Anyway, this is still a good song to listen to. Like I said, it has a very pleasant tone to it.

Maybe it was meant to be like how you whistle at work and this sounded like whistles? It could have had more variety. I still think it's overall good because you get a really nice sense of wanting to spread joy. It sounds like an ice cream truck now that I think about it. It's nice to make pleasant stuff.

I can certainly count on you to have some weird songs. I think this wasn't one of your better because it did need some variation. Of course, it's still enjoyable to listen to. I guess it's just because all the stuff from my favorite authors is already so high quality. It seems like you were maybe trying to have some kind of "Space Invaders" theme to this.

I guess I just assume every submission here is about video games. It sounded like you were trying to imitate a duck's quack here. There are at least some interesting things going on. I like the sparkly sound at 1:59. It could maybe be a little shorter.

When I first came across this, I thought it was going to be a rim shot. You know, it's when someone on the drums and does that thing for jokes? It wasn't like that at all. It may not have lived up to my expectations in that sense, but it's still awesome. It's mostly because this sends off such high spirits. I'm starting to recognize Fawful more.

It's the kind of music you can imagine being played on a bright and sunshinny day. In fact, it's pretty sunshinny where I happen to be. It does remind me of some video games. Of course, a lot of great games are noted for colorful things like the Mario and Zelda cartoons so it easily applies to them. I think there's a flute at 1:59.

I think this is the best song you've ever worked on. It may be because I have gone through depression in my life. Interestingly though, I don't even see that much about depression in this. It seems more like confusion. There are different styles in here that I guess are supposed to represent madness. It may not have much variety, but it's still awesome.

It's just that it does such a great job of building itself up. It makes you think about loneliness, which is definitley a part of depression. It's starting to seem sound with some of the later sounds. I am glad you did such a good job of capturing emotion. Of course, madness isn't that much about depression anyway. The vibes are great.

I thought this a wonderful music piece! It's mostly because it just has such a wonderful sense of good cheer in it. There's even wonder in it. I can even imagine pegs being used in this. It seems like that would be part of a board game and this music would be used in a commercial for it. They used to have so many of those.

I love all the little things going on, like the whistle blowing. I really am starting to love your rhythm music. It's certainly taught me how to spell "rhythm"! It's just so relentless in how fun it is. I'm glad there are people like me who appreciated underwork work like this. You're a great music artist.

GenoWhirled responds:

I wanted to put a certain kind of spin on the original song (called "Polyrhythm" from Rhythm Tengoku, if you're curious), one that gives it a formulaic and industrial, yet goofy and playful kind of feel. Almost like something that would play in the background of a classic black and white cartoon of a bunch of workers on an assembly line or something. I like your interpretation of the song, too, and can definitely imagine this being used in some sort of board game commercial, now that you mention it.

I thought this was a good song. It is not one of your best, but I like it. It looks like you were trying to have a Christmasy theme to it. Then again, that might just be because it has the word "holiest" in it. Dang, there are always new sorts of backgrounds they put for these sounds. The one I'm looking at has all these words in it. I shouldn't waste my review by mentioning that.

I just think this has a very merry theme to it. Again, that's a part of the Christmas thing. It nevers snows where I live in Florida. I'm thinking the TF stands for Team Fortress (2)? Probably not, I just see that a lot on the web.

Dude, that is a really cool song! I think my only complaint is that it is a bit repetive. It's still hard to not like this because it has such high spirits to it! It just seems like the kind of song you could just enjoy any time of the day. It seems to vaguely remind me of some Mario games. A pity I don't seem to know where this comes from.

Wait, I think it's a fan Mario game that I heard this from. It's just such an upbeat song. You can just imagine pleasantness from hearing it, like going to the beach. The title made it seem like it was from Tetris. I don't know which rhythm series you're talking about.

GenoWhirled responds:

The fact that it's repetitive isn't my fault, as again, it's a remix of an existing song, and not one that I myself wrote. Plus, it's a menu song, so the average player would only hear it for a few seconds at a time, which explains the shortness of the loop. If you were curious to hear what the original version of this song sounds like, put this at the end of the youtube URL:

How strange. It was a bit hard for me to find a theme in this. I'm guessing it's possibly a song from Pokemon as you mentioned Ho-oh. While I haven't played any games myself, I read enough stories about Lavender Town to be familar with it. This is in fact a good song. It seems like it's setting up a mood of danger.

It doesn't manage to be that scary. I don't think that was the point. It works better as something that's intimading. It even starts off as more wonderous at first. This is unique, as most of your other works.

Ooh, this must be the lowest ranked of anything I've reviewed under audio. I really don't know what to say. I just can't find anything memorable about it. I'm not one to talk. My single audio submission has one of the lowest ratings on the whole website. It pretty much assured I would never try that again.

I guess it does work well as an alarm clock. It's too easy to tell what the instruments that were used in this. Cymbals and drums. Now that I think about it, I'm not that good on identifying instruments. Like I said, it's still higher than mine, so I could take a lesson from you.

I had some trouble understanding what this song was about. It ended up making more sense as it went along. I couldn't recognize the Zelda and Kirby music that much, but the Mario was a given. It helps that Super Mario World is my favorite video game. I'm surprised there wasn't any Street Fighter music. The title made it seem like there was.

It just has a very nice tone to it. I think it makes me think more about wonder than actual adventure. That was the tone of the original SMW music, now that I think about it. It's nice to see you still up and making stuff. You make unique things.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
