I relaxed

This was one of the best music pieces I have ever listened to. The reason it's so great is because it gives off a perfect sense of bliss. Bliss is something that is indeed an emotion one can find in all parts of the world. It is something that we are all seeking, but something that doesn't usually come to those who look for it too hard. The tone in this was also of changing. The first bit was fairly repetitive, but it got more diverse as it went on.

It shows that people can learn to take note of the harmony of everything in the world if they look at the goodness in life. Probably because it was heard in an alien entry, it gives off the feeling of meeting aliens. It's kind of like going to a higher plane of existance, one beyond our comprehension. Thank you for touching me on a spiritual level.

Simple, but great

It was just awesome to hear such a wonderfully done song. The best thing about it is that it gives a really soft tune the entire time that it is playing. It doesn't really go for darker parts or a more intense finale as it does not need to. I am interested in finding out exactly what strings were used for this or what kind of instrument they were on. Piano has given us some of the best songs and it's my favorite instrument. All these elements combine to show something truly fun and graceful.

This does seem to be just like what you would hear in a classical opera. It is great that people still appreciate really cultured work like that. It's always interesting how people can create meaningful tunes. This one did not seem to have a particular message, just one of being soft and elegant. For that I appreciate what you have done.

I do agree

What's interesting about this submission is that it does come off as more creepy than sad. I guess the two might overlap with each other sometimes. The tune is actually fairly powerful because it makes it seem like something has been lost. The only problem is that it goes on a bit too long with not that much variety. It's still a decent song with how it consistently keeps that tone the whole way through. Many horror series like Silent Hill already have sad parts in them.

As most songs like this go, it ends well too even if its ending is a bit too immediate. It seems like you used the piano and some other instruments for this. At 0:31 you seem to put in drums. It's interesting to see how these instruments co-exist in this song, even if it is not the best combination. I don't, however, view it as classical.

Butterscotch, yo!

This seemed to have a fairly low rating when I first came across it. I am glad I was able to bring it up to 2.38 even if that's not that high of a rating. I am in fact familiar with Casper, but for some reason I do not recollect this song. Of course, you are probably referring to the original cartoons which I watched too long ago to remember. For all I know, you were quite loyal to the original cartoon. This sets off a pretty soft, standard feel.

It has more of a mystical style to it than anything else. I guess that might fit in with the mythology of ghosts. Actually, it seems more like something that would end up in a Legend Of Zelda game. What I did not like was that it did not seem to be consistent with the kind of mood it was setting. It was a bit of a mix between happiness and sadness.

An orchestra?

This was a very nicely done music piece because it seemed to experiment with different styles. I believe this would make a far better version of Little Red Riding Hood than that recent movie. Granted, I haven't seen it, but I've heard it's really stupid. There are parts of this song that have a sort of Looney Tunes feel to them. I can imagine the Big Bad Wolf sneaking up on Red to some of this music. There was a Looney Tunes cartoon like that, actually.

The tone that it mostly gives me is the feeling of being in a forest. That would be quite appropriate for Little Red Riding Hood of course. I like it how there seems to be so much grace and elegance put into this song. There were some darker parts of the song fitting the darker parts of the story. You have done the classic story well.

What innocence

This was a nice song because it made a person think back to his or her childhood about the simpler things back then. The part where it really gets good is when you hear that faint fluttering noise. It almost sounds like a tambourine. What I did not like was that this did come off as a bit repetitive, but not at all of low quality. It seems like you add horns of some kind around the two minute mark. That is itself added by some chimes.

It is very soft and I have heard a lot of soft songs. It's nice to know that people are always willing to make light-hearted stuff like this. It does not really tell a story of any kind, but mostly allows the listener to form a visualization in his or her mind. It's also nice at the end when it reverts back to its original form. Maybe we all wish we could be like that.

How nice and soft

I was thinking this might take a dark turn seeing as how the title was kind of about repenting. What worked was that this keeps its steady soft tune consistently throughout the song. It does come off as sad, but not so much miserable. I guess it's hard to explain the difference. Misery is more about your mind being taken over by madness and the loss of everything while sadness is just the realization of losing something. You obviously have a good talent for the piano.

It definitley seems like something that would be created while it was a rainy day outside. I guess I've listened to so many songs it's hard to find ones I find really sad. What makes this song work is that it doesn't spread negative emotions. It makes a person reflect on the errors he or she made in the past. I hope this man makes up with his daughter.

How authentic

This song is very well done because it gives off a great sense of a music box. It must be forever since I had an actual one. It is mostly everything that you would want in a music box. It doesn't try to be too fancy or anything but at least fancy enough to make you realize how good the song is. The coolest thing is probably how it starts off so softly and escalates. What's truly impressive is that the escalation happens very gradually so you barely even notice it.

Whatever the one was intended to be, it gave me a great tone of grace and peace. While it loses it a bit as it goes along, still a wonderful song. Around 0:53, it seems to take on a more stylistic part and makes you think about going on a journey. I can just imagine the violin slowly being played to this song. I am so glad to have come by it.

Rampant responds:

Slow but steady build-up. That's interesting, because in my older tracks (not on NewGrounds), that's what everyone agreed I did a lot -- slowly add instruments, drive, etc.

Anyway, thank you for the feedback, and I'm glad you like it so much,
- James

What a pleasant song

This was a great song because it was just so well put out. It gave me the sense of going on an epic journey or perhaps going through some place and being praised. The echo title is very appropriate because the sound does seem to reflect itself. Given the title, this reminds me of Palm Sunday as it seems like the kind of music Jesus would have while he was going through the town. Hmm, guess it's been awhile since I've read my Bible. It has a fairly soft tone to it.

It seems to have a sincere style too and it makes you think about the sincereness people have in faith. The style makes you imagine going on a journey through somewhere. It's the kind of journey that's fun to take and doesn't have peril. I admire the use of instruments even if I can not identify them. About 2:25, it seems to give the feeling of stars being scattered across the sky.

How pretty

At first I thought I had reviewed this submission before, but I apparently did not. I am glad to review it for real now because it is a really well done song. It's easy to tell this was made on piano with every sound. I thought from the title it was going to be about a terminal like at an airport. The song actually didn't come off as depressing to me until I found out it was talking about a terminal illness. In a way, that's good.

It shows that you can still show off creativity and innovation even when discussing a very sad subject matter. It has mostly a soft tone but is demanding at times. It was really interesting to have that description, especially with the old man with 1000 stories. It really makes you look back and reflect what you have done in your life. I can be happy knowing that I have written reviews.
