Very creepy

This was nicely done because it set up a really creepy tone. The image that I envisioned in my head was one of going down a dark corridor. The only thing wrong is that there is not much variation. Still, it doesn't need a lot going on because it's fairly effective in its repitetion. In fact, it's really towards the beginning that you enjoy it the most as the tune seems the freshest. While not intentional, I like the images created on the song.

I keep seeing the one that looks like a big eye stretching out. That seems good for a horror icon. About 2 and a half minutes is when it gets the creepiest and it's the closest the song comes to making a transition. There's really more silence to accompany it further which is often effective. It could be used for a haunted house video game.

Very deep stuff

You explain how this song works perfectly well in the title. It starts out by being really calm and peaceful and then slowly becomes chaotic. By the end, it's pretty intense music. It doesn't take a genius to realize that you are referring to how dreams turn into nightmares. While it is two minutes long, it actually takes a long time to liven up to its scary potential. For a first song, I am also very impressed as first works are usually not that good.

The way it becomes chaotic is actually quite subtle because it starts off more as background music. It eventually takes over the tune of the entire song. It isn't even that dark when it gets to the end. Perhaps when it finally does end, it represents the person waking up (whoever the person may be). It's a nice use of piano.

How soft

It was interesting how you started off fairly smoothly and got a bit more actiony as it went on. In fact, nearly every twenty seconds you seem to be adding some new instrument to the table. I have been a fan of your flash work for awhile, but were not aware you even did audio stuff. I can tell you used the guitar for some of this. While there is a good amount of variation, it still keeps the same theme. The one thing I did not like was that it did seem to get a bit boring.

It reminds me of what some people would call easy rock. That was also the name of a certain CD I always saw ads for but I unfortunately never got. It's a fairly ambitious work even if it does not give out a tone of striding for anything that much. By the last minute, it seems to be done with its variations and just does more of what it's good at. I hope you have as pleasant a life as this song implies.

I'm gettin down to this!

This was a great audio submission because there was just so much going on in the song! I guess it's a bit hard to tell in a song, but it sounds like there's lots of action. My only problem was that it does get a bit repetitive as it goes on. This should still please any fan of heavy metal. While I am not really one myself, I can appreciate this for being a faithful tribute to the genre. From the title, I was thinking I would hear some "Mortal Kombat" music.

I think I recall hearing this in a submission or two and it is wholly deserved. There are so many sounds it's hard to keep up with individual parts. I can tell a lot of time was put into this song and it was quite worth it. I don't know much about "Riding On The Edge" but this song seemed to fit that description well too. It gives you a good feeling of going on a great journey.

Decent song

This was a fairly good song because it did seem to use one of your best melodies. The only thing I did not like about it was that it did kind of drag on and needed some variations on itself. I guess I have just heard so many songs it's hard for me to find something original. You're still above average because you have a really spooky tone to your song. The best part is probably around 0:46 when it becomes a lot softer. What follows is where it seems to really transition.

It gets a bit repetitive, but it creates a tone that seems to fit the name of the song. I can understand how it becomes more repetitive as you seem to find a style that suits yourself well. It also has a feel of technology to it in contrast to its usual feeling of fear. It seems like you might have used the drums on this. It's a decent song and fairly creepy.

Butterscotch, yo!

This is a nice song because it just has a very soothing melody to it. It was interesting to find out that this was actually inspired by a homeless person you met. I guess he wasn't much of a Mr. Truth after all? It seems like you were trying to come up with something more complicated for a theme judging by the name, but it's still nice. The only problem is that it does get a bit repetitive. It still works because a soft melody is something that most people should enjoy.

It looks like everything was done from piano. It kind of makes you wonder if you can put out the music sheets that have the notes for this song. I didn't find the song to be sad, just soft. I can understand how it gets sadder at the end because, well, it was the end and it seemed to conclude itself without resolving anything. Hopefully that homeless guy will see the light someday...

It is sad

This was a sad song if only because of its title. It's funny because a lot of times people wonder what is going to happen at their actual funeral. A pity they will be, kinda dead when that actually happens. I recall seeing George Carlin's standup about what would happen at his funeral shortly after he died. Many of us envision what song we would want to have played there. I don't know if this is the one for you, but it certainly fits the funeral theme.

It's great that this can all be done with a piano as I used to be an avid piano player. The fact that I stopped is perhaps all the reason why this song is depressing. At least you put it in an original feeling to your work. It can get a bit forceful at times, especially the end. This is where it works best, because it brings closure to the piece.

Fits the theme

This is a great song because it really lives up to what its title is. The weird thing, however, is that near the end it does seem to have a more uplifting tone. I can tell that this was made entirley on guitar. The repitition works well because you get the sense created of going down a spirally place. That sense of falling in a dark dream will never end until you wake up. It's also a good way of making use of the infinite loop feature we have.

It almost sounds a little cowboy like to me. My favorite part was around 1:41 when it started to sound more macabre. For something about dark dreams, this didn't come off as that creepy to me, just very interesting. That works better in terms of making a song watchable (listenable?) anyway. It might use a little variety, though.

Too sweet!

I am personally not a fan of the Kane series (nor do I know much about it) but man, was this awesome! There was just such a wonderful sense of awe and unexpectedness. It sounds a little like heavy metal. Some heavy metal sounds make the mistake of being a bit too "hard" but this manages to have a very nice grace to go with it. It never lets up for a minute, even though it is only three minutes long. My favorite part is at 2:10 when the tone seems to get darker.

I can now recognize it more as using the organ. I would be familiar with those kinds of instruments as I used to play the piano. I saw and reviewed the cartoon this was featured in and I find it odd I do not recall it. You'd think such an awesome tune would be something I could pick up well. This is not just for video game fans, but music fans!

Bezo responds:

It's the theme of Kane the professional wrestler, not the...whatever you're talking about. Thanks for the review though. :D
