[Button Game 1]

Very strange

I could not understand how to play this game at all, because I do not know what is going on. I clicked on something and then it took me to a place where it played a song with some wiggly lines. I clicked the lines (as I could) but nothing happened. I guess I can not say I fully hate something so incomprehensible to me. The best part is that the wierd little eye things were overall kind of well drawn. The thing does give you an unsatisfying sense that there was not much work put into the design and everything.

[Ultimate Space Defender]

Not that impressed

I was thinking that something with this title would be a lote more flashy. The thing I did like was how basic the whole thing was and therefore easy to understand. There really could have been more detail, especially with how there just a blank background. Another suggestion is to make it so that the ship can move all over the screen and not just go from left to right. The file size is a little too big, as there is not that much going on. There could have also been some space music playing throughout the game.

While I did not get very far, I have to give you credit for creating something that has great graphics. I love how it looks just like something in a Saturday morning cartoon, but only in a game. All of the people obviously put a lot of effort into this, especially with the voices. It was nice to include the links to merchandise, even if I would not go there. The game has depth to it, quite literally with how you go through the walls and everything. It is completely harmless, so not much to lose playing it.

Sweet and standard

I have obviously gotten used to the gameplay with things such as this, so I know what to expect. The trouble is, when I do that now, it is hard to find anything that unique. This was still enjoyable and I liked the cool music that was used. It was easy to tell that gel was the artist. You can play this for a long time as you simply just shoot at little weird blobs over and over and watch them multiply to form more strategy. At first I thought I was being fired at, but that was really just my blasts coming from the other side of the screen!

The best thing about this is just how simple the game is. Yeah, the graphics are pretty subtle, but the more basic part is how easy the gameplay works. You basically just go on and on listening to everybody and picking things up for them. If you miss anything, you can go back any time you want anywhere you want. I am so glad you are working on things like the Child's Play Charity. By putting medals with points on them in a game, you really know how to attract more people to playing the game.

She is kind of hot

This does not have that many things that are too unique for a dress up game, so this was okay. Some of the parts were rather interesting, like the tail that seemed to be made of flesh (?). The biggest thing to improve on is how the image itself is too small in resolution. It was nice of you to put that song in it, as a lot of people here forget that. It was kind of weird how the girl was made of pixels but the clothes were a more solid color. Another thing to work on would be the background.

[Escape Pico's Mansion]

Great point and click stuff

This is one of my favorite submissions for Halloween 2009. Everything is done at a seemingly low pixel resolution, but that does not take away from any of the fun really. In case anybody wants some hints, you die by choking on the one candy piece that is on the medal. I have recieved every single medal and as a prolific reviwer, that is quite special for me! I like how it is a faithful tribute to Tom Fulp's original Pico games. No guns or stuff blowing up, just some familiar ground and funny costumes.

[The Gun Game]

Lives up to its name

Of all the stuff featuring guns you see in gaming, it is interesting to find one that does not actually involve killing. I admire this a lot because there is just no bull crap. You have tons of things to do, but they are all layed out in a very simple fashion. I love to watch the little things like how funny it is when the gun reloads. I think my favorite bit would be the Challenge part, because it is the most creative. The way the gun moves and everything even manages to be an original feature here on Newgrounds.

Got every medal!

I really enjoyed this, especially as it has some of the most unique animation I have seen in a game! There were just so many things to do for fun, like hit people with your slingshot. The characters look like their heads are made of potato chips, which is a compliment, BTW. I think it knows how to fit the theme of the original fairy tale genre. That is, it is really good with the grainy design and the way it is designed. I liked how it is also large in size so it gives you a lot of room to journey on.
