[Strategy Defense]

A defense game?

I think this would go a lot better under the title of an RPG than a defense game, which I usually like better. Whatever it is, it was awesome to play and since you do not see games like this often on Newgrounds, quite special. I like the graphics and how the characters look like little toys or something. It is also great how a lot of the attacks are automatic and you still have a good chance of defending yourself with so many enemies. There are so many characters to choose from as well, all unique. It is a game here that is rare in its genre and deserves to be recognized.

[Phantom Mansion: Red]

Nice

I think this is my favorite game that gimme5games has ever sponsored. I am honestly probably only giving this the highest rating in the series, becausIt was my favorite submission for Halloween of 2007 as well.e it is probably the easiest in the series. While it may not have the most action, it is great as a puzzle game. The graphics are fantastic (no visible pixels) and there is a lot of room for you to go around and explore. It is probably the best way of starting this series as it really builds up from here.

[Pool : Pot the balls !!]

Not bad!

It helps that I like pool (in games and in real life of course) and there just do not seem to be many pool games here on Newgrounds to start with. You should have put a song in it, still. My other complaint is that the graphics do look kind of cheap for something that was made in 2009. You are still off to a good start if you intend to make more of these. I like games like this because they make little attempts to be flashy. It helps that there are so many of these balls around and so many combinations to knock them in.

I think this should also go to "Art Games" as it is perhaps the most surreal game that I have ever played. I normally love surrealism, but it got so surreal I was unable to understand a single thing about it. I really have no idea what to do, but I guess that is the point. I mean, what you do have is pretty interesting. The song can get a bit annoying, but it is all so incomprehensible it is hard to go into detail about that. I guess you did a good job making something that not even a fan of animutation could understand.

Could have been better

My biggest complaint with this is that it is pretty boring and there is just not much going on. It is hard for me to tell whether or not I have advanced, because everything seems to be the same. I think there is a glitch with the sound or something because it really didn't work for me, but I usually have poor sound reception, anyway. The positive points was that the graphics were pretty good. It was also fairly easy to play. You would be surprised at how much of a hazard that boat can be.

Cute and simple

At least this got a Daily 5th Place (that's got to count for something here!). This is another occasion where it is different than what I thought it would be, for the better. While some people might complain about there not being any action, this works great as a puzzle game. It is just so satisfying to see those little pieces fly off the board onto the wood. While it might seem like a childish game, it is done well with really impressive graphics. I hope you guys keep coming up with great stuff like this.

Some of mofunzone's best!

It's so strange playing this because at first you think it is going to be a role playing game. I do in fact like these kinds of games a lot more than RPG's, anyway. It is not often you have such a stereotypical demon being the hero. It is cool how you do not die by having the red thing hit the ground but by being hit by things. It is almost as if there are two games at the same time and one of them already plays itself. The color and pixellation is just of the right quality to be played at this file size, too.

[Turtle Odyssey Online]

Fits the description

This is one of the greatest underappreciated games that has ever been submitted to Newgrounds. The animation is great and it seems just like something that would be in a professional 3-D side scrolling game. I just love how goofy the turtle looks. The music is really soft and fits the child-like game. It has very easy controls, but there are still a lot of levels, so it really gives you room to go around and explore. It is also handy to have that little red arrow that shows you exactly where the diamonds are.
