Now I can say that in Spanish

I was half expecting to see him go up to a female dog and say that, but it was something else. I kind of thought this was some of your lesser work, as it didn't have much of a punchline. What really saves it is how good the animation is. It's funny to just see him jumping around (apparently, you can say, "la la la" in Spanish). It's easy to follow and it helps that there's a lot of setup for the final joke. It may have been predictable, but it isn't terrible at all.

Darkar responds:

Thanks...?

Hey, that was really funny!

The animation is as interesting as ever, and it's nice to be more associated with this popular series. I was a little disappointed that it seemed to only have one punchline. It should still be noted that this was still quite funny, due to the fact that it addressed that issue. I heard that are many gay penguins, but didn't know this was the cause. It's a pretty realistic representation of a reaction to something like that happening. I found it odd how one of the penguins was green, when they normally are not [green].

Darkar responds:

Apparently you put a lot of effort in the analysis of this type of artwork.

Well, you shouldn't. Cartoons are meant to be unexpected and ridiculous.

True story?

I am quite sad if this was indeed based on a true story, as it is pretty sad. Apart from that, there's really nothing noteworthy about how this was made. I think this looks a lot older, like it was made in 2000 or 2001. The story isn't much, as the crossing guard lady does literally nothing throughout the entire cartoon. I guess it does work well as being sad in that sense as she just seems so pathetic in everything she does (or doesn't do). With a lot more work in animation and more of a story, it could be waaay better.

That was original

I do think it's too late to put this into the "Christmas 2009" collection, but this was very nice! From the beginning, it really seemed like a Calvin and Hobbes comic strip. I love how there wasn't any dialogue at all, just a ton of cuteness. The cuteness was certainly disrupted by the giant pieces of snow falling, but I like how you didn't just go with gore everywhere. It was impressive to see the cute little animal critters everywhere too. It was all around cute and the snow falling didn't even strike me as that dark.

Very funny

That was a funny and creative idea to use, even if I didn't like it as much as everyone else here. I thought it was especially funny how he just bought a bunch of beer so casually. The irony is that he was helping everybody through his drunk driving but killed someone at the end. The punchline could have been a little better, but still very nice. The animation is as great as ever, especially with how the guy's foot goes down on the pedal. This had the usual clever and coolness Explosm gives us!

It's nice stuff

I usually expect more random or silly things from you, and most of Newgrounds for that matter. It's still nice that you take the premise of a standard slice of life idea. I couldn't quite understand the premise at first, but then I figured it out with the title. It perhaps wasn't the most innovative of ideas or stories, but it's the heart that counts. You were obviously trying to put a nice, tender hearted feeling into this and you succeeded. It may have been better if you put this around Valentine's Day.

Very funny

"Avatar" is such a popular movie, I was just waiting for someone to make a flash parody of it. It's also fitting it would be from you, being one of the most famous parody guys on this website. The animation was as great as ever, and I've always enjoyed it. I think you did in fact bring up a really interesting point that a lot of people didn't think of. Also, at this point in the movie, she didn't know Jake was from Earth, so she would have been surprised he said that. Still, I'm probably being too nitpicky and this was a very good cartoon that worked well in its briefness.

Not terrible

It was pretty funny to see that live-action face superimposed on that cartoon body. Some of the movements were in fact, quite well done. I think it's funny how everyone working on this has the name of a dictator (well, most of you anyway). I thought it was odd how you used Christmas music, and I did watch this unfortunately shortly after Christmas. It would have been nicer if it could have been longer. You could also work on jokes, as I couldn't find many.

Very well done!

I was indeed quite impressed at how this managed to have a reference to every single entry in the Madness Combat series. It was great to see all of those guys in the same place. My only complaint is that the animation did seem a little goofy at times. Still, this had all of the action you would want in a Madness Combat flash. It was also funny how you ended with the moral of not making fun of clowns. The music was also very cool and fast-paced and fit the theme quite well.

RazorShader responds:

Thanks :D
And I know what you mean about the sometimes goofy animations ;)

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
