It has raisins!

Wow, I have no idea how I missed such a fantastic flash submission a week after it first came to the portal. This is really awesome because I am actually named "Eric" and I have played that game before. I am now poor so I could relate to the homeless guy. The animation was absolutely fantastic and it really contributed to the subverted kids theme of it all. The voice work was great and it definitley had real emotion put into it. While brief, it works so well because you have no clue what to expect next.

It would go something like this

It easily lives up to the notion of being made by someone young, as there is no sex in it. This made me realize that "Jaws" is a classic movie, but few people have actually written fanfiction about it. Of course, it would probably look like this. One error was that "Jaws" was not even the name of the shark as it was given no name except for "Bruce" by the filming crew. The animation does a great job of expressing child-like stuff. If I was a fan of "Jaws" at that age, well I probably would not have even seen it.

Thanks a lot for the informative review!

Joey!

Okay, this is probably my new favorite thing in the series. It was so funny how you managed to actually make a serious story out of nothing but a bunch of shapes and no background. It was weird to see Joey the square with those different indents in his body. I sure felt sorry for him when he seemingly died, and Patrick was definitley brave enough to defend him! I could honestly see this dialogue being used in a professional movie. I was waiting to see how a gun would look like in this cartoon.

Not too good

The best thing about this is that it still has the great animation and voice work as shown by other works by you guys. It is just that since it was made for a collab, it is really not a great cartoon in its own right. Still, it was not terrible even if the punchline was a bit predictable. I find it hard to believe that anything could EVER be rejected that was made by you, Egoraptor. I know remember that I do not think you did a single "Street Fighter" thing. At least you managed to give Chun-Li a pretty good rack.

Nice

While not your best work, this was still fun to watch because the animation was good. I would normally reveal in my comments what the newspaper said, but there was so much, I doubt I would have room. I was not sure if it was a music video or not at first. It was cool to see the design of the zombies, particulary at first. The story was pretty typical, but as a big zombie fan, those things work just fine for me. The best part was probably when that one zombie was punched at the end.

Maybe the best?

I was never a fan of these kinds of cartoons myself, so you guys really nailed this one. The best part is how it completely suits a user named BizarroTomFulp. I mean, these shapes themselves are actually more detailed than most of the things used here anyway. It is completely true, a guy who is not a member of the staff could not get a award like a member would. It is great people point out how things work around here and the hypocrisy. I guess it is all in good fun, both this cartoon and the other submissions.

I knew it!

I just knew that the answer to that question was going to be the letter "C"! Of course, if you are going by letter grades, a better example would probably be "A". Then again, you guys did kind of subvert it by saying C was not really better than B. I guess we could go on all day debating over what letter is better. I hope you had a nice Clock Day and next time, could you please try to use the much more clear typing stuff for that? Again, even StrawberryClock's original "B" was like that, but maybe this did take more effort.

Alex-Cortes responds:

Actually you'd be surprised how long this took to make, since this was my actual first submission on NG. >_>

Meh, maybe next time I could try do something much better next time that doesn't have crummy quality. Still at the time when I submitted this the moment seemed right. Thanks for the review though.

Not terrible

I thought this was a fairly mediocre submission, and I have certainly seen a lot lazier stuff submitted for Clock Day. Well, you did miss Clock Day a bit, but you still managed to get a high score with it. I thought the animation in this was fairly good. Recursion is just something that I have always been fascinated by, so this did interest me a little. Next time, yeah, you probably should have more going on and make more of a punchline. It was a pretty good idea, just not executed in the best way.

Tails-Lock responds:

I had an idea for a movie this time, but I didn't have the time. I think I woke up pretty darn late on that day and as the submission date shows, I was 9 minutes late submitting it. I truly had no time to make anything better. I really wish I had made more effort though. I can't seem to get motivation to make a movie unless the deadline is like 3 or so hours away though and then I suddenly start flashing like mad.

Best!

I think that this is the best entry in the entire "Pencilmation" series, because it is the most colorful (in both sense of the word). You tried to make something beyond your normal cartoons and really tried to make a world for the character to live in. The farting sheep was a very funny touch. You completely give your character depth, especially with his eyebrows. At the end, it seems like you finally gave the little guy a break.

...or not.

Good entry

This was not great, but it was still pretty fun to watch because it still uses the fantastic animation. Were these things all made stop-motion on construction paper because it certainly looks like that? The plot is good, especially with how Supervillian keeps finding new ways to kill people and generally terrorize. I especially like how it starts with a mundane setting. Another memorable scene was when the people were eaten by the sharks. I liked how the guy with the spike in his face just looked bored.
