That didn't seem that much at all. I can understand you guys trying to be different and making a flash movie, but this was just too short. I thought there might have been something more to this, but there wasn't. It was just the kind of thing you would see preluding a holiday game. I would have liked to see one of those. I guess I can only wish you guys a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well.

I guess your heart is in the right place. It's just that there are so many submissions out there, you need to have something unique. The music wasn't bad. I guess I might be too used to you guys giving out great games. This might work as an experiment, though.

Well Movies is a definitely wrong place for this postcard but there is no better category for this on Newgrounds %)

I thought this was very nicely done. I was quite surprised to find that there were so many voice actors in this. It didn't seem like there was a need, as there was only one character, that is, the narrator. Of course, I have to give you credit for going the extra mile. It was very interesting to find out all this information. One followed by 90,000 zeroes is more matter than there is in the entire Universe.

I do think this logic might be a bit flawed. It does seem like these things are going to happen inevitably. I was also a bit confused when you were talking about life randomly appearing on Earth. Of course, I don't want to turn this into a theology debate. I really liked this.

Hey Ericho! Thanks for the review -you always seem to have something uplifting to say. I keep regretting my choice of words for that "random spawning" bit- I'm well aware of the laws of conservation of mass/energy. What I was trying to describe was the inanimate lifelessness, but I instead wrote 'inanimate nothingness' which implies something was just created from nothing.

Dude, you have to have more main awards than anyone else on the website! While I personally found the animation great, it was weird how the poor kid's house was going to burn down. Eh, I'm probably coming off as too soft on this. I think my favorite part was the boy's eyes. It was weird, because he didn't look that interesting at first, but when he opened his eyes and looked amazing. I don't think that's how you spell "firery".

Eh, I'm nitpicking. The image of Santa Claus going through the night sky on fire is so freaking funny. Let's hope he doesn't bring that to other houses. This is the first Christmas submission I've seen and probably the only one to win all three main awards! You are such a good artist, I can understand why it takes so long to make these things.

chluaid responds:

thanks so much man. Actually "fiery" is the correct spelling. I'm a closet grammar nazi :P
Glad you liked the design of the kid. As for why it takes so long, it's mostly because a little short like this doesn't pay any bills. Most of my life now is spent at this computer animating stuff for clients, wishing I had more time for my own stuff, like Brackenwood and music videos.

I thought this was a pretty interesting Madness flash. By "interesting", I mean it was truly bizarre. I guess that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It was pretty weird to see the characters with faces. I thought it was funny how the guy was shot so many times at the beginning, but simply brushed it off. Heck, those guys have been shot so many times, it's probably nothing to them.

I also like the songs you chose on the radio. I think it was a Justin Bieber song that was the first one he listened to. It was as non sequitor as most crazy Madness flashes are. It just seemed to go over the place. If you're a big Madness fan, you should probably like this.

Oh such a lovely review! Thanks!

This is a pretty awesome movie and I'm glad I was able to catch it on the Portal's Top 50. It was really cool how the animation and voices were great. The most enjoyable things, were of course the jokes. I liked at the end how Max was just shot while drinking. I'm not even sure if that was an intentional joke. I love how deadpan he is compared to everything else.

It's also hilarious how stupid the bimbos are portrayed. It's hard to really feel sympathy for them, or really anyone for that matter. I remember you, haitam, as being a very competant artist. I am not that familiar with the game, though. It's still funny for anyone.

haitam responds:

Thanks for the review .I can't take that much credit though ,SirUndead did the writing and voicing!

This is another really weird Madness cartoon. I think it's mostly because it really lacks structure. Then again, this is Madness, so it's not supposed to have any kind of story. It's hard to pick a favorite part because they come at you so fast you can't tell the difference. It seems like everyone had a lot of fun doing this. This must have been a nice way to end 2011 for you guys!

You didn't win any awards, but you still got the high score you deserved. You truly have no idea what's going to pop up next in this. The deaths are actually pretty sudden and more realistic than usual. It has all the great action of a usual Madness cartoon. I like the atmosphere too.

Thanks for the review

I didn't think this would be that good, but it definitley got better as it went on! I think my favorite thing was probably how the characters all seemed to have different designs. My only complaint is that some of the animation seemed a tad off. It's still great to see a guy who looks like an elf as the main character. I liked how some characters had their names on, so people could understand them. The sounds were good too.

It could have used some more music, but it really didn't need that much. It was interesting to see the different ways you could kill people. While not as good as the original Madness, still worth checking out. I wish I knew HOW to suggest things into the Madness category. It just doesn't work anymore.

Rapheus responds:

Glad you enjoyed it, this was my pride and joy whenever I made it.
Yeah, the animation was shabby at times, but in my defense, this was only my third animation.
Thanks a lot for the review!

I have to admit that I was not very impressed with this. It's just that there have been so many better Madness flashes. I think my favorite part was probably when the bus (or whatever it was) was heading towards the guys. I guess it wouldn't have been fast enough to move out of the way. The music was pretty nice, though. You really seemed to be better at English than you think.

I thought this was going to be something with mad libs. It's just hard to tell. I tried to keep a body count, but there were too many deaths at one time. I really should do that more in Madness flashes. It didn't need to have so much talking.

good ol' 2008
