You simply will not stop making awesome cartoons like this. What's really cool is how you're able to steadily keep up the movements of these guys. I love how each and every one has a different kind of movement. The blue skeleton is the only figure who stays in the same place, I think. The blue dog (or wolf, whatever that thing is) seems to go backwards. The red snake goes forward as does the red piranha or whatever that thing is.

It could have probably had more than just the same thing over and over, but it's still a well done thing. You could have had more colors to make it more psychadelic. The music was pretty good too. It kind of reminds me of the stuff done by Weebl, only better animated. I'm not belittling Weebl, just saying your artwork is better than his.

TheBoogley responds:

after making this I'm considering making some sort of series of these with different shots and connecting them together into a massive psychadelic freakout. Kind of like Vince Collins Bincentennial animation (called "200") from the 70's.

I'm not sure if actual Greek mythology could count as history. Then again, I guess you could say the same thing about most religions. What's funny is how you're able to only intervene a few times and let the characters do the rest. I think this is one of your better submissions, if only because it's great to see how these characters play off each other. I was in no way expecting the little guy to win! Of course, something bad does happen to him at the end.

Then again, that same thing happens to everyone else. It took me awhile to get the joke, the guy wore glasses because he was blind and thus immune to Medusa. That's why he was using the signs wrong. It's great because you have no idea what's going to happen next. I imagine the next will be the Roman Empire, perhaps?

captainmcross responds:

Roman Empire coming soon...but next I am doing ancient China and the Silk trade!

Wow, I'm surprised you managed to come up with a new episode so quickly! Well, I imagine that after doing a lot of them, you'd get used to it. It's great to see how this develops over time. I must have misheard him at first, because I thought Snake was his changed name. Hey, Gaylord doesn't have much of a better name. The best part is probably at the end when you see all those monsters.

It' s easily the best animation presented so far in the series. I have a feeling this next episode is going to be really good. I appreciated the slick animation. It's kind of funny and kind of sad to see the mine things being burnt like that. Gaylord has the best voice, because of how insane he sounds.

Falconer02 responds:

I agree with you about Gaylord-- he definitely has the best voice out of all of the characters. Thanks!

There isn't that much going on in this cartoon. It mostly fails because the artwork isn't that good. I guess it's a bit nice to see a stick rendition of the Mario characters, but nothing really comes of it. The quality seems low, and I think it might have been better if you had put it in a smaller piece. I would know how that can affect the resolution. What's also weak is how this doesn't seem to be anything that much out of the ordinary.

I would like the stickman to use his shape to his advantage. Maybe have him go through tight spaces or something? I will give you credit for having a nice ending with the trollface and scat man song. I wish I could tell you how to not make it an infinite loop. There could have been more shadings with the colors too.

SuperMario9000 responds:

I know Its not that good, but Its my first one and done frame by frame. Its so low quality because I made the cartoon with flash, filmed it with hypercam to get it into windows movie maker, added the music sound and the credits and then put it into flash again, for being able to post it on this site. I'm a XTREME noob to all of this flash animation.

I thought this was a very nice demo reel! I do not think I have ever heard of you before, but I am very glad to have reviewed this. I think what makes this the most cool is how you have so much going on in these cartoons. The coolest part is probably how there are so many different styles. It's a pity that you don't seem to be fairly well known here. I wouldn't be surprised if this got a really high score.

I think the part that seemed most out of the ordinary was the Pink Panther on the sketch paper. While it lacked color, it was still very nice. Speaking of color, you seemed to really do a good job of adding some bright variety to all the designs. I appreciate all the nuttiness that is going on in these scenes. The actual music isn't too bad either.

DillonBrannick responds:

Thanks! You've heard of me now, and I'm glad you reviewed this too, I love reviews. High score, hmm I'm not so sure, a decent score I'd imagine. Anyway glad you enjoyed, and I knew people liked the tune.
I appreciate and am grateful for your comments

Wow, I wasn't expecting this submission to be that good! It didn't look that enjoyable at first, but it really got better. I like the idea of this rainbow monster somehow being able to blast rainbows out of its body to vaporize the heads of monsters. It's funny to see just how random this cartoon is. You have absolutely no idea what insane thing is going to happen next. Another thing I liked was the animation.

It's great to watch this guy just hop around and destroy (or help I guess) stuff everywhere. This reminded me of the animation that was used by that one "E-mail" submission. I especially like how the character has these wonderful bright eyes. Well, that's actually probably the least bright part of his body. This certainly made me achieve maximum happiness.

Brewster responds:

thanks

Well, here is my first review on this brand new system! I should have known better about what it was parodying since I am a fan of the show. It took me awhile to figure out that he was saying, "Sofia", especially with how he seemed like he was saying "So fat" at first. The funniest part was probably when he ran out of batteries at the end. I look forward to this show coming back this Sunday night. It's nice to watch a parody of something I am familiar with.

I believe that was Sofia at the end near the barn if the show is to be believed. The animation wasn't too good or bad, it was just really goofy. Given the non-sequitor nature of this cartoon, that makes sense. I don't know much else about you, but I am glad you managed to get front page. I'm still getting used to the new design.

DoomedChi responds:

Thanks for the review, I should hire a writer next time I animate something, everything I submit seems kinda random at best.
I really don't know how this one managed to get frontpaged but I'm thankful for it.
About the new design it's gonna take some time until we get used to it (not being able to see the amount of reviews, a numerical score among other things its kind of weird).

Just that?

I'm sorry, it's just that I have been so used to seeing Madness stuff with more action in it. I can't hate it, because there's nothing that bad about it. It is certianly not something I would recommend, but at least the animation is good. I think that is how the movie "Silent Night, Deadly Night" started out. In case anyone's wondering, the body count is two. That has to be the lowest body count for any Madness tribute I've ever seen.

I can only suggest that the next part have more action in it. I haven't seen the other entries in this, so it's hard to judge. Why is it called the third in the series if the cartoon itself indicates that it took place before 2010? Well, I hope you had a great Christmas season, I guess. It's great how Madness and Christmas always gets high ratings.

Rapheus responds:

Never seen "Silent Night, Deadly Night".
And I've already broken the 'Lowest Madness Tribute Death Count' record twice: Tale of Lambert with one death and Mother's Day Massacre with zero deaths.

And this is kind of a prequel to the MadSeth Christmas animations. I'd suggest you watch the other two for some grounding. -Plus they have higher death counts.

Regardless, thank you for the lengthy review.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
