A real treasure!

This was one of the finest collections I have ever seen on this website! I am a huge fan of YTMND, and judging from the inclusion of the "What Is Love?" meme, you were heavily inspired by it. I just loved all the varieties of the different kinds of crazy songs. While not the biggest Doom fan, it was awesome to see all these flawless character designs! It has so many it would be hard to pick a favorite, but I think I would choose the "Moskau" one. You are a truly talented and funny person and I find it amazing this didn't win a single award.

Ludamage responds:

Wow! Thanx for appreciating )))
Why it doesn't got award? Because at ealy time my submittion had very low rate. Also at that day was so many better and funny submittions by others )

DIET!

It is no doubt that choosing Diet or regular is a great source of comedy in general. It was also great to see the Kool-Aid guy appear at the end as it reminds me of one of the first jokes in "Family Guy" (not that I'm a huge fan of that show). The animation was pretty nice. I think this would've worked better if it had been part of a collab, as it doesn't really do much to me on its own. It was kind of nice to not hear an "Over 9000" joke in making a Vegeta parody. This should have been a bit longer, but was okay overall.

Trixen responds:

I think you would enjoy saiyans Paradise, another parody I wrote, yes, this was a short, but it did its job I think.. Short and sweet, thanks for writing a msg!

Tribute?

I admit that is a noble idea to honor all of the NGers who have died. It's kind of sad that you can now add another one to the list, in the form of Ben Spurgin (what has been it with celebrity deaths this year?). That was the best thing I found in this, as it didn't seem like it took much effort to make. It would be really nice if you added some music, even a short loop. It was basically a yellow background with purple stuff in the middle. It was just nothing that I thought was too impressive and it needs improvement.

Nice and simple

I don't know why, but you just seemed to just hit the animation right on the head. I guess it's because it reminded me of Eddsworld, which I am a big fan of. I especially liked the part where the snow missile was coming towards him and it looked so sad. I could see where this was going as the kid kept looking more bruised. While not so long, I guess I was just looking for a bit more action. However, that is not a complaint and this was still fun to watch.

47times responds:

Yeah I see what you mean, I would have liked more action but I wanted to finish it before Christmas and I'm not so good with explosions, maybe next time.

Good animation

While not a classic, what saves this is how good the animation is. It's great that I am learning to become more familiar with your work and realize why I like your stuff. Anyway, I thought it was weird at the end as I originally thought the elf would work for Santa as long as he didn't tell on him. This isn't to say the ending that was literally gay was terrible. I was thinking it was going to be a more violent flash with the rocket destroying Santa. In place of violence, there was sexual humor, which is just fine.

thanks for your review

A true work of art

I am so glad this was submitted to Newgrounds and not to just YouTube. I was amazed at how fantastically artsy this was, especially with that flawless music. I never thought of using paint balls as anthromorphic characters and taking a story from their perspective. I could see the fingerprints in the paint balls, but I think that added to its authentic style. I am very surprised that this did not win a single award, but at least it has a very high score. The gritty feel of the darkness and backgrounds fits it great, too.

gemedet responds:

Hey, thanks a lot! I did my best to hide my fingerprints, but it's not easy. :)

Quite interesting

At first I was expecting this to use your robot character from other stuff, but apparently I was wrong. Then I realized I was right, even though he wasn't the focus of the cartoon. I thought the guy looked a lot like someone from an Egoraptor thing. Anyway, this had some pretty good things in its own right. I like the designs, especially that of the big monster. I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't longer and it didn't have great action scenes, but it was not bad at all.

vezanmatics responds:

well thanks. it was for a small school contest (which explains the lack of a good action sequence) , but it got a lot further than i expected it to go and i thought it was worth posting.

Very emotional

I really liked the wide variety (or at least the number) of songs that you used for this. The human characters had sort of simple designs, but that wasn't what you were trying to do. I really like the animation in this one; being able to idenitfy the little dots reminded me of the stuff in the Sunday comics (which I still read). It was also nice how you got an environmental message across with the trees being cut down. I'm glad it ended on at least a somewhat optimistic note. Merry Christmas to you now and forever, Sonucais!

Sonucais responds:

Hey ericho, thanks for reviewing again.

Unforgettable

With the title "A Bid For Freedom" I had no idea it was going to be about bad breath and King Kong. While there was no animation, you managed to take me back to the days of when I read traditional story books. This remembered me of this one book about a bad word that became a cloud which I think you may have based it on. It was also pretty funny how the ending made it all pointless as in a shaggy dog story. The artwork was all done fantastically and seemed like something any great professional illustrationist could do. You should have this published as an actual book!

AdamCook responds:

Wow, thanks for that fantastic review, and congratulations on joining the echelon of the top 25 all-time reviewers! You've clearly seen a heap of Flash in your time, so I'm honoured that you enjoyed our work so much!
Although I've read many books in my youth by talents like Roald Dahl and Dr Seuss, I've haven't had the pleasure of reading your specific title (though it sounds bizarre and interesting).
ABFF was pretty much conceived off-the-cuff to concur with the competition deadline, with partial reflection on my own experiences (being at deathlydull parties etc.) and fairly obvious pop-cult influences (that 1933 monster movie that the Lord of the Rings guy remade, title keeps slipping my mind...).
I'm really glad you like our style and our sense of humour; it was great fun to produce, I'll try my damnedest to get a new published edition out at some point along the way (I'll let you know when I do) and we'll all certainly work hard to produce more great entertainment for viewers like you in the near future!

Cheers for checking us out!

Underrated!

I am glad I was able to catch sight of this, despite the low rating. This managed to be something really neat because it did not aim to be particularly silly, but just something entertaining. I really liked the animation in this one, reminded me of like "Ren And Stimpy" or something. I also liked how the voices sounded. The funniest part was probably when Santa beat the guy up even though I couldn't even see his fists touching him. Showing Santa's buttcheeks was pretty unpleasant, but funny.

MrAbnormal responds:

thanks i appreciate it
