Needs to be longer

I have seen several things where people are simply trying to open up a box or something and I think this was one of the lesser examples. I did like the animation in this one. I think that is best demonstrated when the figure is walking away from the explosion. Thing to improve on would be to make it shown how the explosion happens. It could have used a lot more things going on, like more attempts that escalated in absurdity. I guess it was fine for a really quick thing but needs more variety.

Dr4g00n responds:

i agree. lack of motivation, i guess xD

That was too easy

This is my pick for best Pico flash for Pico Day 2010. I really like how it manages to be so funny, but only at the beginning and at the end. I knew from the second this came into being, the animation was going to be the best I had seen today. It even seemed to vary with the animation at numerous times making it more cartoonish at some points. I am starting to notice that Piconjo really looks like Ganon in this cartoon. The anti-climax was perfect especially after all of the great action scenes there were already.

You not found the EASTER EGG Ericho ?

Great stuff

I have never seen the movie "Paranormal Activity" so I can not tell how faithful it is to the movie. I loved hearing the Michael Jackson song, particularly with how he has dead now and that could mean the radio is haunted. I really like the animation in this. It is great to be introduced to a new style, especially on none other than Pico Day. The funniest part was probably when he was scared of it at the end and simply blew it up with a bazooka. I hope you had a great PIco Day as I certainly did.

RiverJordan responds:

Haha thanks for the awesome review man! I really appreciate it! and Yeah! I had a fantastic pico day :)

Simply fantastic!

I had heard that song a lot of times before, but I did not even know what the lyrics were! The fact that it was talking about things being black did not even occur to me! Thank you for showing me that and expressing your creativity in this awesome submission. I think this is among the best animation I have seen in a Sonic flash that did not use sprites. All of the characters move the perfect way and everything syncs up very well. It is also great that you address relationships between Shadow and the other characters that are not usually addressed.

naysu responds:

wow thankyou very much, I really apreciate the time you took to write this review, so for this, thanks! :)

Great to see

Normally, I would not approve of you sending things that are already on this website, but this was just so awesome I will let it slide. I hope you are at least still a "Pokemon" fan after changing your name. I was a big fan of this series, but was disappointed when there were apparently no more new ones. At least I got to see this and I do notice that it seems like Pikachu always fights the Clock Crew. Seeing little Pikachu with a machine gun makes me feel awesome all the time. I hope that you keep up the good work.

RazorHawk responds:

The Clock Crew is just so much fun to decimate though.

But thanks, yeah, I wouldn't have added in all that stuff that was already on the site, but there were some corrections that I wanted to make (and add in the music I wanted), not to mention the AFD6 part all by itself would have been really short.

But thanks, I appreciate the support. Cheers.

A test?

It was nice of you to make a test, but I really think you should not send flashes to Newgrounds that are just tests. The design in this was really simplistic, but I have seen worse. I will say that it was very nice of you to have that pokemon song in. That song has been remixed so many times with different versions, it is always cool to find a new version. I think the eyes look weird in this. They look just like little green rectangles in the character's eyes, so the art really needs work.

zergtillian responds:

the eyes were realling ovals to circles in comparison really. If you made the window bigger, you can see that more clearly.
And the pokemon song that i used in this one is the actual pokemon: the first movie theme song.
So this one wasn't redone or anything

I am finally here

I knew that is was only a matter of time before you submitted something that I would give a "5" to. I loved how this is the first time I have ever seen Raptor Jesus in a Newgrounds flash or really any Internet video. The guy was such a popular meme I knew he had to show up somewhere. I liked seeing everybody and especially it was funny to see Captain Planet back. It's funny how the watermelon demands he answer the question when coming up with different replies was what they were just doing. Oh, and crossdressing is still funny.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

thanks ericho!

Very cute

I liked watching this one simply because it was so amazingly cute with the animation and everything. However, I do want to make an important point to you. James Cameron can really not be sued for calling it "Avatar" because neither directors own the word. "Avatar" is a term meaning the embodiment or personficiation for something. In the animated series, it refers to the title character (Aang) as the embodiment of the last airbender. In the James Cameron movie, it refers to the bodies that are created for the humans where their consciousness is represented.

CurtisCarey responds:

Thanks, I aim for simple but cute...maybe a bit annoying as well.
I'm not talking at all about sueing anyone, I'm just poking some fun. And playing with the idea that My cat thinks it's Ok to call a movie Seinfeld. I get the whole name thing, I just think it's funny is all. Like M.A.S.H is an actual thing too, but if you made a MASH Movie, you'd probably expect some drunken doctor highjinx more so than some amazing CGI Thunder cats. I meant no offense to anyone.

Could be much better

I actually remember seeing this cartoon (or at least something like it) on your website before. It is many years old and it really shows. I think the next part of this series released here in 2004 was much better. I did kind of enjoy the music that was used. My biggest complaint is that the characters just simply do not have depth to them in pretty much every sense of the word. I guess this was in your early days, so it's great to know you improved. The transition effects were probably the best aniamted part.

gjlcards responds:

Hello,
Thanks for reviewing. Generally, I was just trying to give people a few chuckles from my cartoons. I generally don't strive for good animation, as it takes a lot more time than I have. From now on though, I think I'm going to be concentrating mostly on games, as those are what I am best at. Thanks again for reviewing and checking out the website!
