There isn't that much going on in this cartoon. It mostly fails because the artwork isn't that good. I guess it's a bit nice to see a stick rendition of the Mario characters, but nothing really comes of it. The quality seems low, and I think it might have been better if you had put it in a smaller piece. I would know how that can affect the resolution. What's also weak is how this doesn't seem to be anything that much out of the ordinary.

I would like the stickman to use his shape to his advantage. Maybe have him go through tight spaces or something? I will give you credit for having a nice ending with the trollface and scat man song. I wish I could tell you how to not make it an infinite loop. There could have been more shadings with the colors too.

I know Its not that good, but Its my first one and done frame by frame. Its so low quality because I made the cartoon with flash, filmed it with hypercam to get it into windows movie maker, added the music sound and the credits and then put it into flash again, for being able to post it on this site. I'm a XTREME noob to all of this flash animation.

I thought this was a very nice demo reel! I do not think I have ever heard of you before, but I am very glad to have reviewed this. I think what makes this the most cool is how you have so much going on in these cartoons. The coolest part is probably how there are so many different styles. It's a pity that you don't seem to be fairly well known here. I wouldn't be surprised if this got a really high score.

I think the part that seemed most out of the ordinary was the Pink Panther on the sketch paper. While it lacked color, it was still very nice. Speaking of color, you seemed to really do a good job of adding some bright variety to all the designs. I appreciate all the nuttiness that is going on in these scenes. The actual music isn't too bad either.

DillonBrannick responds:

Thanks! You've heard of me now, and I'm glad you reviewed this too, I love reviews. High score, hmm I'm not so sure, a decent score I'd imagine. Anyway glad you enjoyed, and I knew people liked the tune.
I appreciate and am grateful for your comments

Wow, I wasn't expecting this submission to be that good! It didn't look that enjoyable at first, but it really got better. I like the idea of this rainbow monster somehow being able to blast rainbows out of its body to vaporize the heads of monsters. It's funny to see just how random this cartoon is. You have absolutely no idea what insane thing is going to happen next. Another thing I liked was the animation.

It's great to watch this guy just hop around and destroy (or help I guess) stuff everywhere. This reminded me of the animation that was used by that one "E-mail" submission. I especially like how the character has these wonderful bright eyes. Well, that's actually probably the least bright part of his body. This certainly made me achieve maximum happiness.

Brewster responds:

thanks

Well, here is my first review on this brand new system! I should have known better about what it was parodying since I am a fan of the show. It took me awhile to figure out that he was saying, "Sofia", especially with how he seemed like he was saying "So fat" at first. The funniest part was probably when he ran out of batteries at the end. I look forward to this show coming back this Sunday night. It's nice to watch a parody of something I am familiar with.

I believe that was Sofia at the end near the barn if the show is to be believed. The animation wasn't too good or bad, it was just really goofy. Given the non-sequitor nature of this cartoon, that makes sense. I don't know much else about you, but I am glad you managed to get front page. I'm still getting used to the new design.

DoomedChi responds:

Thanks for the review, I should hire a writer next time I animate something, everything I submit seems kinda random at best.
I really don't know how this one managed to get frontpaged but I'm thankful for it.
About the new design it's gonna take some time until we get used to it (not being able to see the amount of reviews, a numerical score among other things its kind of weird).

Just that?

I'm sorry, it's just that I have been so used to seeing Madness stuff with more action in it. I can't hate it, because there's nothing that bad about it. It is certianly not something I would recommend, but at least the animation is good. I think that is how the movie "Silent Night, Deadly Night" started out. In case anyone's wondering, the body count is two. That has to be the lowest body count for any Madness tribute I've ever seen.

I can only suggest that the next part have more action in it. I haven't seen the other entries in this, so it's hard to judge. Why is it called the third in the series if the cartoon itself indicates that it took place before 2010? Well, I hope you had a great Christmas season, I guess. It's great how Madness and Christmas always gets high ratings.

Rapheus responds:

Never seen "Silent Night, Deadly Night".
And I've already broken the 'Lowest Madness Tribute Death Count' record twice: Tale of Lambert with one death and Mother's Day Massacre with zero deaths.

And this is kind of a prequel to the MadSeth Christmas animations. I'd suggest you watch the other two for some grounding. -Plus they have higher death counts.

Regardless, thank you for the lengthy review.

So awesome

I think the funniest thing about this is probably the joke at the beginning. There's nothing like a character complaining that they're not really in a cartoon. This is something where you really have to appreciate the animation. Everyone just looks so wonderfully designed in this and it seems like something straight out of an abstract art painting. The voices are also fantastic. The male rat especially sounds exactly like what a rat in that situation would look like.

It's great to see a funny cartoon that has so much going on. The jokes are so unpredictable. I guess it's not as good as #10, but still a great episode. I like looking at all the detail in this cartoon, like all the math formulas the rat writes down. It seems like the female rat might have gotten in the fourth wall when the obscure character came.

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

meta thanks!

That was awesome!

This is easily your best submission and it really works well because it's so consistently hilarious. The animation is absolutely flawless. It's probably my favorite MLPFIM parody I've seen on this website! I just love how every frame just seems to be showing these guys exaggerating their body movements and jumping all over the place. Every body part is just going off in the zaniest directions. I thought it would end after the first guy.

I am SO glad it kept going on, because it kept up how funny it is. It's weird how people make fun of Princess Celestia like that, when she's only been mischeivous a few times. It, of course, works wonderfully for this hilarious masterpiece. You just have no idea what's going to happen next. You are a great credit to all bronies and everyone who's a fan of insanity. You never let down, friend!

Skaijo responds:

Thank you very much for all of your kind words!

Not much going on

It didn't really seem like anything special, because it was just a guy being chased by the "B" over and over. At least it's nice to know that Benny Hill theme never gets old. There could have been a lot more detail like color instead of just the actual red "B". Of course, this was intended as a spam flash. How come the flash I submitted didn't get a high rating like these others do? I guess I should have made it more about Clock Day.

BTW, it's deleted now, so don't bother looking it up. At least the voice was pretty spot on. Well, it wasn't technically a voice, it was just created with that Speakaphone thing. As a short, very silly flash, this truly does succeed in what it sets itself out to do. It's funny how no matter what the quality is, you still have that awesome loading screen.

Haggard responds:

Yeah, if you want your flash to succeed on Clock Day it should at least contain the letter B, haha!

Happy MD to you too!

While it's been awhile since the day, this is still a good video to watch. I especially like how all of the designs were original. It was weird how you said it was thirty seconds earlier, but it seemed longer than that. I guess my only complaint is that there could have been more action. As these stories don't have much plot, it was still nice of you to include a recap. You really didn't know what was going to happen with this.

The rocket itself looked kind of weird and stood out from the other things. I lost count of the, well, body count. I think this may be the first Madness flash I've seen where there was hospital staff. With all the crazy stuff that goes on in these flashes, you'd think there would be more of those guys. You could just have some more action.

Rapheus responds:

Great review!

-Yeah, I timed the 'Ganondork killing Seth' scene and it came out to about 30 seconds.
-I agree with the action, It's kind of slow. I'll chalk that up to laziness on my part. :/
-Even I had no idea what was going to happen this episode. I turned out different that the storyboard.
-Yeah, I Googled a rocket and traced it in flash, I'm not that good artistically.
-Of course they need medics! Who else is gonna clean up the messes? Haha.

Thanks again for the review, man! :D
