Wow, this really was a great cartoon! It had simply amazing animation. My only complaint is that it did look a little weird sometimes. It's still fantastic. I'm glad that guy got in trouble for kicking that dog! It would have been even more effective if it was a cat.

The colors are so unique and the linework is amazing. The characters stand out pretty well. I can see why this got featured at the top of the page. It's quite a unique little world. All this for a submission for a collab?!

tofokyo responds:

Thank you for the thoughtful review! And yes this was only made for a collab, but bro I HAD to give Jet Set the respect it deserves 😭

That was pretty funny, although it was weird how it changed halfway. That was a pretty entertaining intermission, though. The best part was the opening with Rouge. That's a great Dr. Claw impression. About 15 seconds in, I knew it was something recorded from a game. I just assumed it was OneyPlays.

It turned out to be someone entirely new. It's great to be introduced to new people. That title just looks so weird. The animation seems to be intentionally bad. It's good for some silly laughs.

SomeApe responds:

Its not intentionally bad T_T

At first, I was thinking this was an intro. Instead, the whole thing wasn't an intro at all. The running time seemed just right. I appreciated seeing these bright colors. It actually kind of reminded me of "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann". Something with the red and blue colors.

It was like a tamer "Miss Dynamite". It's been a while since we've heard of Sirkowski. It was definitely like a music video. Anything without dialogue or sound effects seems like one. It's just well put together.

Nicojian responds:

I haven't seen Miss Dynamite! But thanks for the review! I'll check it out. Yeah definitely I take more of a music-video like approach to my work. I cut up and change alot of the animatic timing depending on it. Hard part is that yeah music does tend to get a bit dull after 3 minutes, so I tried to switch it up and add alot of mini sound effects and foley to keep it more interesting. For the transitions, usually explosions work well to mask the interludes into the next song. Oh! And yeah love old Gainax stuff! I mean I hope it's obvious from my work that I love TTGL and Gunbuster so thanks for recognizing it!

Wow, that was very wholesome. I mean, that was seriously a very cute cartoon. I've seen so many of these VHS style Castle Crushers cartoons, but this was one of the best. It shows you don't have to be long to be good. This is a cute voice. The pink knight might be my favorite.

Hey, she got her own game here! It was an early one with medals. Those are indeed some tasty looking foods. You give the character depth in a short time. Sometimes simplicity works.

KokoroHatsaru responds:

Ofc theyve got their own game jdjxjdn the funny thing is that version of pink knight (mindchamber's game) is actually a girl, the canon and this one's gender are misterious, so that pretty much about them :], and yep, i think i took longer drawing the food xD

My favorite was Alex303. I'm just a huge pokemon fan! I have to admit I was a little confused by the format. I thought it was like a game. I couldn't tell how much interactivity there was. It was odd to not be able to watch it all at once.

That did weigh it down, but this is still very fun. The variety is easily the best part. I can never tell which parts have different sound. I'm glad the Credits & Info list the number of collaborators on a cartoon now. It can be hard to count them all.

DannyGoodShirt responds:

It's an interactive collab and it's not in the game section. You just click 2 things lol
Appreciate you taking the time to figure it out though.
Thank you!

Wow, this was really weird. At first, I thought the short would focus on that guy. Instead, it turned out to be that giant duck. Or was it a goose? It did end up going back to that guy after all. I liked how it wasn't all just a fantasy or something.

It turned out to be real, what with the city being destroyed. I loved the use of puppetry and live-action. That can be good once in awhile here. Why didn't the guy become giant from biting into it? Whatever, this was just meant to be bizarre.

Morde2580 responds:

Hi! To clarify:
1. It's a duck
2. The Guy didn't get to bite it, his tongue burned the moment he was about to, so he didn't get to eat it and become giant.

Hope that helps! Thanks for watching

Happy Halloween?! This was submitted on Veteran's Day! You never see anything related to that holiday here. Anyway, this was well animated. I really liked seeing those characters again. They really are destined to be iconic here.

Wait, they already are! This was very nice to look at. I'm glad you didn't make a razor blade apple joke. Besides, who gives away apples on Halloween? Weird way to spell "ghost".

MAESTROCELESTE responds:

What a curious coincidence with the day! I'm glad you liked the animation and the characters. Apples with razor blades? I guess I'm more into fantasy stories. And yes, it's misspelled ghost, my mistake.

I was very impressed by this cartoon. It reminded me of David Firth. Well, at least at first. It seemed to evolve to something beyond it. It ended on a surprisingly upbeat note. You know, with the transition to color and everything.

I love how it shows the different scenes coming together. They end up being related to each other. It looks like that guy made it out okay, even though he's still covered in bullet holes. It was indeed experimental. It mostly changed the story about halfway through.

ConorKehelly responds:

Glad you noticed the bullet holes. Not many do

Damn, that's a good title card. Stove sounds like a variant of Steve. The original ghost looks like Geodude. The animation was just gorgeous here. I will admit it was pretty confusing. What matters is that it's still wonderful.

I didn't know why the ghosts looked just like them. Thank you for the ending that revealed they were clones. It's still a pretty bizarre setup. Maybe some more characterization, but quite funny. That thing after the credits was 2 minutes long!

dootdoote responds:

This episode is part of a series! The cloning bit is a callback to our first episode :)

This is arguably the most detailed cartoon in this series. It's mostly because of the fine details put into the destruction of the building. This is an actual show on Cartoon Network? I don't keep up with TV nowadays anyway. The voice is pretty good. It would be nice to have all of these in one submission.

I've said that before. It looks like now I'll have to pay attention to the continuity. Story is important for cartoons now. The way the girl moves is just so well done. Location means a lot here.

EXIT73STUDIOS responds:

Thanks for the kind words! NO it's not on any network, not that we wouldn't love it to be part of a bigger series, all these cutaways are baked into the video game... Maybe one day though! We're more than open to expanding this as a series!

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
