Not stupid

This got a decent score so it's nothing to be ashamed of. The coolest thing is how silly the characters look in this. The biggest suggestion I would make is that you should probably put in a background. The thing that does work the best is that the characters really let their emotions tell the scene. Oh, I'm not that familiar with the "Star Trek" mythos, but I now understand why he would blush the color green. Kirk looks so bishounen as a blonde.

I'm surprised there weren't any blatant gay jokes in this. You can still call me a fan of Star Trek, simply because the most recent movie they made was one of the best films I have ever seen. It's cool to see the emotions slowly accerelate. It feels like it could have been done in a few fewer panels. Hey, that's a funny thing I just said.

the new star trek movie was a horrid disgrace to the franchise of star trek and should die in the ground

Wonderfully done picture

At first I thought this was supposed to be Skeletor or some other character. It's reassuring to know that this was apparently an original creation that was in no way cartoonish. The clothes make it look like it belongs to a nun or some holy worker. I guess it's supposed to fit in with the irony of something ugly in a religious world. The colors are just wonderfully done with this. You can practically see the stained glass coming out at you in the background.

I don't know if this is intended to be spiritual or anything, but it's dang good. The way there is so much detail in this praying figure is flawless. I can't tell if the purple stuff below the mask is its skin or part of the mask. It's so good, I don't think priests would be offended by it being in a church. You are so good with your pencil.

NeonMonster responds:

Never saw this comment, thank you so much :)

WOW

This has unanimously good scores for a dang good reason. Everything about it is completely awesome. The coolest thing would have to be that it looks so CGI and it's unbelievable that you managed to do this all in Photoshop. Every single bit has a well shaded and wonderfully done series of layers to it. The disco ball head guy kind of looks scary with how realistic he is. I think I can see some people dancing in the background.

I just now noticed how the straw in his "drink" is really the plugin for the cassette tape. Maybe this symbolizes how old technology is going out and is lonely by itself? He seems to have a happy look on his face. Even every part of his mirrors ball head is realistically done. It makes you wonder what he has for a torso...

Hello Ericho, Thanks for your words :)

Nice and dark

This was so cool to look at because there was so much detail and depth put into everything. The best part was probably how there were different positions of the monsters. It was really weird to just see them looking at the viewer with those gaping mouths and eyes. I seem to have forgotten that HappyHarry was involved with anything with someone named Dogtooth. If anything, it shows he can be great at more serious stuff. It's freaky how the one zombie's ribs stick out of his chest so vividly.

You have to look closely, but there are some more zombies in the darkness. It must be cool to have access to two blunt objects at the same time. He's just looking at the viewer in such an awesome manner because we know how cool he is. The shadows and even the ground add to how well detailed it is. It must have taken forever to make something this good.

sucho responds:

its definitely one of his most thorough and interesting projects - but its live action so there's not much evidence of it on newgrounds.... for the moment...

Great, but demented

I liked this image a lot because it had such a great amount of detail put into everything. The only thing I did not like was that it was truly frightening! Seriously, this kid looks like some demon out of my nightmares! At first I thought it was a character from "Newgrounds" but I think it's actually the title character from that Flapjack cartoon. It's amazing how every single part of his body is exaggerated so much. Even his buttcheeks are protruding from his pants.

The background is also wonderfully done as well. It has a style different than that of the picture's focus, but still manages to be demented. I like how even his uvula seems to be reaching out of his mouth. The shading is so wonderfully done too. I never thought anything could be more demented than the stuff by John K., but I was proven wrong.

adamkav responds:

Aw thanks, I think highly of John K, so I appreciate that.

I'm finally done!

This is another awesome picture because it captures the spirit of the scariest vampire ever. It's mostly because his apperance with the grotesque head and teeth are so frightening. I am not quite sure if this character is the same as Dracula. I heard some say that "Noseferatu" was actually an alias of Dracula. As this picture was done in black and white, you captured just how well he looked in the movie. It's kind of sad how people don't appreciate good movies that are really old.

Granted, modern film techniques are better but these are still classics. I think he may have the longest nails/claws of any character you have ever drawn. He appears to have blood running out of his mouth. It is a relief to finally have a look and review every single one of your art pieces. You are the first person with whom I have ever done that with.

linda-mota responds:

Thank you so much for all of your reviews you've done on all of my artwork! They've been very helpful and way too kind for someone like me. ^_^
You'll never be done, I'm constantly putting up more art almost every week. I really appreciate what you've done.

I do agree, I end up meeting a lot of people who dislike silent films and classics on the basis of "they're old" or excuses like that.

Now I get it

I was a bit confused at first because I wasn't sure who those other guys are supposed to be. They kind of looked like earlier versions of Hank before he was injured and stuff. I now recall those characters from the episode. What is cool is that you are giving these guys the recognition they deserve. Those only familiar with the first couple of episodes would not know who these characters are. This is easily one of the strangest MC tributes I've ever seen.

What's weird is that everyone just looks so realistic. I can still see some of those cross faces but the proportions of their body are so well done it's kind of creepy. Of course, an image with a guy leaking blood out of his mouth is supposed to be creepy. Hank is easily the best looking of all because of how sinister he is. The shading is dang impressive too.

jouste responds:

wow thanks so much for the great review!

i really wanted to try and get a more realistic approach to those guys. you pretty much nailed it with your review! thanks so much!

*highfives*

Johnny?

I like this art piece because it's so cool to see a style to authentic to that of "The Shining". Spongebob just looks so deranged because of how realistic he is drawn. He has the facial hair (I doubt sponges have hair) and a long nose. Well, the nose is more like his cartoon appearance, but it still looks really strange. Even the pores and holes in his body are well pronounced. His cheeks appear to be sagging near the door.

I just feel as though this would have been perfect if he was holding an actual weapon. The shading and coloring is still done well and emphasizes the madness in his mind. I also liked how you worked hard to put in a background with different shades. The door looks pretty different on the opposite sides. The teeth look sinister as well.

Chieftx responds:

glad you like it, I only wanted to mimic the famous video still that captures the madness of jack nicolson. thats whey i did not bother with details like hands or weapons.

fun fact: the cells of real sponges are capable of reassembling after being pulverized.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
