Yes, I remember playing that game! I think the best part about this is probably the face. It stands out so well when compared to the rest of the picture. It's great to see the credits like that. I guess game posters can be like movie posters. I love this flame weapon.

It's been so long since I've played the game, I don't know if that's an actual weapon. It probably is. The block structure is done really well. I know that's part of it. There's another raybot in the background.

deathink responds:

Thanks man. If you fire the gun when its charged up it looks like this. The face was actually drawn by TomFulp.

This was a great picture, but I was a bit disappointed by how it didn't have Rouge the bat. That's just the number one thing I think of when hearing about Rouge in video games. I mean, she's so hot! I still love this picture, especially how the scale is drawn. There just seems to be good perspective in this. I like the butterfly net being in with the robot.

It provides great contrast. I really like that theme in pictures. I'm not that familiar with the character or location, however. I just now notice that the dome has been broken. It still seems like a very pleasant setting.

Tomycase responds:

Sorry for the confusion about the title, but the fact I choose a French title, because I'm French ^^
The translation would be "Red Metal" in English; thanks for your comment ~

Wow, I knew this would be deranged. I didn't know it would be THAT deranged. As a brony, I'm still interested in this. It's probably mostly because of the story. Again, we don't need a literature portal. You have told plenty of it here!

I mean, it's wonderfully drawn! I can't say no to something that good. It was at least less sexual than a lot of these ZTV cartoons. The teeth are great. Yep, it's very scary.

sucho responds:

lo, for i hath committed sin of the textwalling.

It would be a crime not to favorite this. I simply have nothing but admiration for you. I find it very likely that this took 700 hours to make. There are just so many little details in it. The best parts are the little bits of paper that are flying toward the Sun. I think those are pieces of paper, at least.

The feathers are a wonderful touch too. You even put great detail into the screaming faces. I guess those are the souls the Grim Reaper owns. I even just now noticed his arms. You deserved an award of some kind for this. I guess the "Frontpaged" thing might count.

Ikarus777 responds:

I was insanely busy for while and just got back on my NG account thank you so much for all your kind words, I glad you like my work!

Wow, I can't believe how detailed this is! I'm really surprised you didn't win some award for this. Then again, I don't know how that process even works. You deserve the high score. The skull itself is great, but then there are all these other things around it. I now realize those are supposed to be waves.

I'm not even quite sure how this symbolism works. For all I know, you made everything up here. Even if you didn't, you deserve tons of credit for it. These monsters are so detailed they look like buildings. They just seem to be part of the background. It's great to have depictions that fit so well.

Jakubias responds:

Thanks dude, glad to see someone still sees my stuff. It did get frontpaged back then and I was pretty hyped for that. Thanks!

I'm not sure why, but I was just reminded of M. C. Escher when looking at this. The thing is, it isn't that abstract of a drawing. It's just that it shows these buildings in strange curves. Escher was known for that. I just think the texture is absolutely flawless. It's strange, but still beautiful.

Only great artists like you could make something like this! My favorite is probably the tall building on the left. It really does have the best design. The colors are wonderful. There's still a sense of peace among all this absurdity. I loved that!

robtl responds:

Wow, that's very flattering. Thanks for the review!

I didn't even notice that the lower half of his body was a tree at first! He reminds me of Link. I really like this style that you have. I don't think this guy even has any visible flesh. Then again, I don't know if he could have any kind of flesh at all. He just seems to be a rainbow of colors.

The bloody sword is a great touch. He's apparently immobile, so I don't know how he'd fight. Apparently, he's just a protector. Well, I guess that's what a guardian essentially is. I can't tell if those are horns or part of the tree.

dommi-fresh responds:

i don't even know myself. i kind of remember making it up as i went and adding roots for legs seemed like a pretty awesome idea at the time

This is a great drawing! It's actually pretty creepy. Looking at some other stuff you've made, you seem to be known for that kind of stuff. The tree just looks so powerful in this. It's like some bizarre case of conjoined twins. I thought that was a cat at first, but it's a rabbit.

I've never seen a black rabbit before. I just now notice the noose. It seems like this was inspired by "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark". Those have been popular with creepypasta lately. The artwork, I mean.

SmokeryDots responds:

Thank you very much for the good response.
The funny thing isthat i had actually never seen nor heard of "Scary stories to tell in the Dark" untill a couple of years ago, believe it or not... (I'm from Denmark)...
But since everyone told me this, that some of my drawings looked like the ones from the book, I naturally had to have a peek. And I got it. And I was kinda flattered. Stephen Gammell really produced some awesome stuff! :)

It's always nice to look at some of the most popular stuff out there. I was quite impressed by how lush this was. Not just the girl, the whole thing. Maybe I don't even know what "lush" means. She has a really great expression. At least she isn't naked.

This is actually quite a popular character here. The name kind of sounds like suicide. Hey, I'm pretty sure this is the most reviewed art submission on the entire website! Good for you! It looks hard to hold up those boobs.

Vortex00 responds:

Thanks for the feedback. actually the "u" is silent. so it is pronounced like "seed-uh"
This was submitted around the time the the art portal first started and was hot off the grill. So many people were looking at pictures and checking stuff out. And yeah kind of ecchi stuff like this was popular, plus i was a bit more active here back then. Not to discredit my own work involved to make the picture, but it puts it into context a bit.

Congratulations on being so popular! I guess sexual stuff really does get more views here. My only complaint is that it's a little too close up. It still manages to be quite effective. You get the sense that the girl is right here trying to seduce you. The texture is wonderful.

I really like the detail on those ringlets. I think that's what those hair things are called. Her breasts do seem a little long. It's probably how the picture is done. There's a great CGI feel to this. The reflection's great too.

Vortex00 responds:

Thanks for the feedback. sexual stuff get views probably in most places. "sex sells" as the saying goes heh. but as mentioned from the other pic, these were posted around the time when the art portal was relatively new so there was lot of traffic and attention draw to it.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
