As your latest submission, I was not that impressed by this. It's pretty much just the single bland image. I can see some of the more detailed parts, but maybe 3D isn't your thing. Of course, with most animated movies, you may have to eventually change. I don't even know what this thing is supposed to be. He looks like a cream pie.

It's just that this guy is some generic character. I don't see where he's supposed to be, other than a normal person. A test like this probably wouldn't qualify for a good art submission. You can always improve though. There aren't that many people who use that on this website.

Sqeezy responds:

yeah, no, 3d really isnt my thing. I just liked the soapy feel of it but never ended up making another piece. ill probably delete it.
thx

Yeah, this was on the same day as another one, dang it. Anyway, enough complaining. This picture seems familiar to me even though I haven't reviewed it before. I think it might just be because everyone's had Mario appear in a picture. I said the same thing about pokemon. I like how there's a goomba in the background.

While a decent picture, it doesn't seem that interesting. You seem to have a lot of question marks in your works. I'm glad you acknowledge how strange your own stuff is. Mario looks a tad too fat in this. While the shading could have been better, the colors are still nice.

Sqeezy responds:

Thanks for the wonderful 50+ reviews. love ya.

Btw I don't draw these on the same days I submit. Usually after a couple of months I submit a bunch or whatever I feel deserves to be seen.

Dude, this is some gorgeous picture! I have no idea how to keep track of the winners of the art awards. In fact, you can't even find out the winners of the regular daily and weekly stuff anymore. I just loved how beautifully designed this was. Every single character has a distinct image. It's something you can just look at all day to find new things.

For example, I notice there's a lobster guy holding a pinata. I can also see cactuses in the bottom of the picture. I imagine it's all supposed to be Mexican based. Now, I notice there are scorpions as well. I want to go to Mexico just because of this! You're awesome, dude!

Thank you!

I can see why it would be your most detailed vector to date. What I really love about this is how you use colors so wonderfully. You get a fantastic sense of being off in some amazing world. Actually, what makes that cool is that you don't really need to go to a supernatural place for that. This looks like a scenario that could play out in real life. Everything is shaded flawlessly.

I couldn't help but think the guy in the lower left hand corner looks like Tingle. It looks like these guys are all standing on ships. What's weird is that the ships all appear to be on land. Did I mention the background is GORGEOUS? I think it's cool to see all the pyramids back there. This is your best art piece I've seen so far.

Sqeezy responds:

I love your reviews. They are so detailed and full of thoughts. <3 Thanks

I think you did a very artistic approach to you. I had no idea that Reincarnation could be anyone's childhood. Dang, I feel old. What I like most about this is how you omitted all the black lines. It seems to be a lot more like a chalk drawing than a painting-esque picture. The shading is done quite masterfully.

There has to be a name to this character. It seems like he has four eyes with how the light emits from them. Four eyes, that's something I haven't heard in awhile. It's great how just a single character on a picture can look so good. He's as sinister as ever.

SwagMuffin responds:

Thank you very much :)

I was personally not that amused by this. I guess I can forgive it seeing as how it is your first art piece. I just couldn't find any deep jokes in this. BTW, I can think of a perfect joke to make about Catholic school. Priests and teachers are likely to molest children, so a molestation case here would probably be inevitable. If you ever make a joke like that, I want credit.

With all that, this isn't bad. It looks like a boy has a crush on another boy. Is that supposed to be a girl? I'm not homophobic, it just isn't typical in fanart. I like how the teacher looks. The head shapes are cool too.

LiLg responds:

There isn't suppose to be a joke. It's just a picture from my childhood.

I was thinking this had some real dark meaning to it. I thought the title meant that this girl was going to jump off a building. It certainly seemed like she was standing outside a window. I hope not! While I do wish it was more detailed, it gets down emotions very well. I love the shape she makes with her shadow.

It seems to contrast well with the window, or whatever it is. You can see concern in her eyes. You do a fine job with the shadings. I don't know much about you, but this is just cool to look at. It's an ambitious picture.

Brakkenimation responds:

Haha, Ericho what're you doing commenting on this 700-year-old drawing. There's so much new cool stuff to be checking out on NG ;)

While I like the interpretation, 'jumper' simply refers to her sweater. It's the UK name for it. Then again, maybe not... maybe she IS thinking of jumping >:)

Glad you like it, sir. I feel like I could do something new with this girl, using my current skillset. So we'll see - maybe you'll get that more detailed version you were wishing for.

It's pretty weird, looking back and seeing this. It seems like you were really going to end in the direction of doing CGI stuff. Then again, nobody on this website really does that. It could have used a background. I appreciate how good this looks and how well it holds up. I always thought the guy on the left was supposed to be a Coca-Cola can or something.

Eh, I should just go back and watch it. I like how you made these guys look so cartoonish. You just rarely see CGI artwork AT ALL here in the Art Portal. It looks like something you just never got back to. I like how they seem to be smiling at me.

mrsimon responds:

On the contrary, I've done extensive work for the LEGO video games, most recently LEGO City Undercover. =)

Dude, this is freaking awesome! I'm surprised that an art piece by someone as well known as you doesn't have more views. It is truly awesome to see this wonderful landscape. This is great because it makes you feel so nostalgic. We all know what it's like to spend time with relatives, especially our own parents. This reminds me of my grandparents' house.

It's probably because they are both deceased. I really liked how you could see the lines set up so well. It truly makes you appreciate those old times. You are probably the first artist I have ever heard of here that made paintings in charcoal. It's styles like these that make me love art. You are talented, dude.

Afro-Ninja responds:

That means a lot, thank you!

Wel, it certainly fits under bad video game art. I don't even see how this picture specially relates to this character, but it's pretty silly to look at. He doesn't even look human in this. He looks more like an ugly horse. He looks like he's mutating all over his body or that fat is taking over him. Orange happens to be my favorite color.

Don't worry, I don't take offense to that color being used on this hideous character. It actually is a pretty nicedly detailed little picture. The shadings and colors are used fairly well. Not good enough to love, to but enough to recommend. Even the wall this guy is next to seems to be ugly.

JKAmovies responds:

Aha! Well I guess I succeeded then :D Glad you like it man, cheers for the comment :)
