This was indeed quite fun, but it was a bit too short. It's still beautifully animated though. I hope this becomes a series on Cartoon Network. Wait, is it one already? I am getting more familiar with your work all the time. You're pretty accomplished.

I appreciate the devotion put into this. Aww, I knew you'd have your own section here. So it's part of a game obviously? I'd love to see all the scenes in one submission. I appreciate the bright colors.

This was just plain awesome! I love this character! I thought that really was the alien hominid at first. Oh yeah, of course it was Halloween. To be fair, he did make errors. I love how she had floating hands.

Her voice was just amazing. I loved how it was just joke after joke. There was just so much going on. This might be the best Halloween cartoon for this year! What a simplistic title too.

I was confused as to how the guy in the thumbnail wasn't Scallywag Darryl. I liked this animation a lot. I will admit the jokes could have been a little better. I keep thinking this is inspired by "One Piece". That anime is so influential I think any pirate related thing on the web is about it.

The colors were so nice here. I admit it was pretty unpredictable. The pirates were all designed well. We don't get too many pirate related things around here. Again, except for ones about "One Piece".

Boy, was that bizarre! I remember your Pepe cartoon. I had no idea at all what was going on in this! I mean, it was nothing but random scares. I liked seeing the different cartoons on the screen. Those were some nice different styles.

I also loved the beginning. You know, with the different parts of his body coming together. There was so much going on. It worked great as a surreal cartoon. It was indeed a zone of terror.

I'm getting more familiar with Michael all the time. I have to admit I'm surprised you scraped half your face! The worst I ever got was my knees and elbows. Yeah, I fell down on my bike a couple of times. That never happened to you? You had some unique injuries.

Given the sheer amount of cartoons you've made, of course you can make more. Every kid's gotten injuries like that. Well, except the really lucky ones. I loved it when you mentioned you went out like a poorly drawn cartoon character. You literally drew that.

Yeah, I can understand why the rating is so low. I mean, it was just a skeleton saying, "Hey". There wasn't much emphasis put on anything. I guess I liked how the skeleton was pink. That was kind of different. It was just far too short.

I find that in a lot of bad flashes. It shows there wasn't much effort put into it. It needs to be a lot longer and have action. Well, it's fine to be gay. This wasn't interesting at all.

AspenThorne responds:

Thank you for your feedback! I put quite a lot of effort into into it. It’s stop motion combined with animation. I took about a hundred pictures of a posable skeleton from Joann’s. Then I drew flames on each photograph for the eyes. Then I layered in the music and the voice over. As a queer person I enjoy making these shorts as a kind of allegory for the way I have been treated like a freak before people know me. I AM a little freak…but an adorable one who loves glam and Halloween.
As for the length, I’ve been struggling with depression. I’m bedbound and chronically ill and it really takes a toll. Art is a big outlet for me to cope. Especially because I lost the ability to paint and had to relearn how to draw digitally. I have been struggling to create lately. I’m very proud of this even if the effort doesn’t show.

This reminds me of a Creepypasta titled "Dead Mall". I binge read Creepypastas every year. It had a fountain too! It was interesting how this got dark so fast. It actually ended on a very uplifting note. Well, at least more uplifting than many horror stories.

It had very nice colors. This was kind of the thumbnail for Halloween Movies 2024. It just wasn't the image used as the actual thumbnail. Whatever, I think it counts. It's nice to have a well done Halloween cartoon.

horrorhare responds:

omg!! i had no clue anyone made a dead mall creepypasta, id love to read it!
in another universe, i wouldve been able to pace this film a lot differently so it didnt immediately jump to being 'dark'. i had plans for a completely different beginning! but alas, ill have to just keep those ideas in my back pocket for now :(
thank you for enjoying my work though!!

I have to admit I was surprised this was under "Movies". I mean, it was a visual novel. There was a good amount of interactivity with this. That made it more interesting. I really liked their designs. The music was nice too.

It was a cute little interactive cartoon. I'm more interested in the drawings than the dialogue. I'm glad it didn't get sexual. I was afraid it would. You can never quite tell with these ratings.

KittyhawkMontrose responds:

Thank you for reading! 💖 I'm glad you liked the experience and the characters.

This was one of the best cartoons you ever made! The best part was when he said that Cloud wasn't even a part of this game. The pulling it out of your ass joke was also hilarious. The simplistic animation truly worked here. I just loved this guy's voice. It fit the tone so perfectly.

I'm also glad it wasn't too long. The simplicity worked so well. The ending was great too. I guess they didn't all explode after all. That would have been too easy.

I thought this was very authentic to "King Of The Hill". It does seem like what would happen if "King Of The Hill" met "Silent Hill". Hey, the title makes sense! The animation style fit perfectly. I loved that representation joke. I'll always miss Cactaur and Tonberry.

Nonetheless, this is still good. I bet Dale would love to meet zombies. He's into aliens, after all! Yes, while not a fan, I have watched KOTH. This was fairly unique.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
