A dream, huh?

Dreams are certainly a great way to get ideas, especially your wildest ones. The coolest thing about this was probably the color and the description of your dream. Now, I have become so familiar with your story I can't really call it original. It could have also used a background, but it's still decent. The skull on the vampire's shirt looks kind of like Jack Skellington. I wish I could remember dreams like this, but then again, I don't really try.

The sharp teeth seem very well pronounced as well. I guess more depictions of vampires show them with pointy ears. The fingers are pointy again, but they actually come off in a more graceful style than usual. Of course, in pictures like tese, everything is pointy. I can easily tell that the black parts are the vampire's fingernails.

It's like I said, it was kind of hard trying to get this guy down. The story isn't original ^_^ It's an actual dream I had, and it is a bit hard to put an abstract dream in words. XD I couldn't remember the background well...but yea. Thanks for the review and criticism! :D Your reviews are too kind!

What a warrior

I was thinking that this was supposed to be a drawing of Samus Aran from "Metroid". The blonde hair and blue eyes made me think that. This, however, doesn't seem to have any connection with the Metroid series apart from her appearance and being a warrior. This was still cool as there was a lot of great detail in it. It just goes to show you don't have to make women big breasted to make them good looking. There's such a vibrant display of colors here.

I guess it takes place in more of a medieval fantasy than a science fiction one. The way her hair covers her kind of reminds me of Terra from "Teen Titans". Whatever the source material, this is very nicely done. I like how all the clothes she's wearing seem to have unique designs on them. Her face shows great strength.

Good and demented

I have never heard of a questing beast before, but I can see why you like it so much. There are just so many mythical creatures out there it's great you support one of the underrated ones. This design is fantastic because there are so many vibrant colors being used. It could have used a background but that's really it in terms of flaws. I can make out at least one eye on the purple neck (or whatever body part it is). It seems to be a hybrid of a snake, wolf, and a horse.

I guess you can come up with tons of different kinds of hybirds, eh? At first I thought the little red dots on its skin was supposed to be warts. Looking closer, I'm fairly certain it's actually it's fire coming out of its pores. I also like how it seems to have a sword literally hooked up to its body. There's also a cloak or some clothing on that hook.

Another great piece!

This was interesting because it seemed like you were really taking on a new style. It was cool how you described all the hard work that went into making it. It may have some of the best examples of shading I have seen in a submission from you. The best part is probably the blood red moon. I love how it just floats and illuminates the characters. While I am obviously familiar with your pictures of the Scarecrow, this was quite different.

The kid shown in this kind of looks like Light from "Death Note" (or is that L?). There's little rhyme or reason as to what is going on in this picture, but it still works well. The moon also just seems to be leaving bloodstains. There are just so many lines and creases to examine in this picture. I see you going places with your art.

Nice sketch

In terms of sketches, this was pretty good even if was not the most detailed. I guess it just kind of looks like it was something you didn't finish. It's still a decent sketch and it is fairly interesting to see how the lines and everything are drawn into the character. It doesn't help that I have no idea what Wacom is or who this character is. It should please more loyal fans of the series. There's nothing really flashy about it, which I guess is alright.

You might want to put in a background or maybe some color. I guess the "practice" in the title refers to what you were doing yourself with the character. I like how his spiky hair sticks up. A lot of anime and video game characters are like that. I like how he seems to have such a pleasant tone on his face.

Sequel?

It seemed like such a disappointment that you had only made a single flash submission here. I am overjoyed to find out that you are in fact working on a sequel. This was a good piece, but not one of your best. What it kind of lacked was color. The rest of it is done pretty well, especially with the designs. The creepiest image has to be the vampire like creature with its long tongue on the left side.

I love how the main guy's hair is just twisting around in all directions. It gives him a sense that he's trying to spread chaos throughout his entire environment. The sharp razor backs of these guys is another terrifying feature. The face in the upper left corner is also pretty disturbing as it seems fairly innocent. There's so many body parts to put hooks on.

linda-mota responds:

BTW I hope you know this is a kiddo we're dealin' with! XD
I would make more flashes...IF I had a pen tablet and the funds to purchase decent animating software. Maybe a kind soul would collaborate with me for an animation project? As long as this character disturbs you....then I have achieved my goal! XD

Extremely disturbing

Wow, I thought I had seen it all here on Newgrounds, but I was of course wrong. It might help if I knew what this character was from. If it's an original character, congradulations on making one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen on the Internet. I mean, I can't hate it because the artwork is done very well. The only thing that could have made this more cruel is if it was submitted around Valentine's Day. It looks all of the girls' heads are grafted onto his body.

I couldn't tell if those were scar marks around its body or rope of some kind. I am guessing on the latter as there are other parts of its body that seem to be scars that are red. I like how all of the attention is drawn towards the creature's monstrous eye. I guess there's some deeper message about not giving up on love or something. Whatever it is, it's dang creepy.

Your mind is dark!

Halloween might be over for you, but your drawings of scary characters certainly isn't! The coolest thing about this is that there is so much originality in the character, even if it wasn't your own creation. It's creepy how he appears to only have three fingers on one hand. It doesn't even seem like you were trying to imitate the appearances of the symbiotes at all, just something completely new. There appear to be some little dots or something in the background.

I love how the guy on the right seems to be flowing off with all that blood in his suit falling away. There's a few minor problems with the coloring but other than that, perfect. While not that graphic, it manages to be truly terrifying with the hideous appearance of these monsters. Seriously, how many teeth does the guy on the left have? A pity quel2many doesn't have any of his own pictures.

linda-mota responds:

"Your mind is dar" i get that a lot. ^_^
The dots were caused by ink and the glass in the scanner...purely accidental. ^-^
i'm not sure how many teeth he has, we'll go with "enough".
Quel doesn't have his own pics, he's more of a writer and came to me to draw his stuff. Give him a looksie.

Great art piece!

When I first saw the title I thought it was going to be a drawing of an old Newgrounds logo we actually had. It works out better that this turned out to be an original creation. It is great to be introduced to your artwork, JAZZA, after being a fan of yours for such a long time. I especially like how the structure itself is built into the shape of an actual tank. It seems like it's been awhile since it was made for it to become the official logo. Maybe after the apocalpyse when technology has been destroyed, we can use it.

I like how there are much smaller buildings in the background to show what mankind was like back then. The Tankman (or I guess maybe Catapult Man?) appears to not be wearing a shirt. Mustaches are always funny looking when used for comedy. The Catapultman kind of looks like Deadpool. Even the stone is detailed well.

Quel2many again?

Here is yet another great picture because it truly lets the madness take over for the cartoon. Man, those fingers still remind me of the old stuff I used to draw. In fact, in my boredom I think I still draw stuff like that with the black tips going off to become straight lines. The coolest part about him is easily his orange eyes. Not just because orange is my favorite color, but because it's also original. Lao deserves to have a great art piece made as he seems to work well as an original character.

It's cool how his black hair covers part of his face because it kinds of shows how the symbiote is taking over his body. You really know how to show perspective with how his right arm goes away in the picture. It's cool how the sharp teeth even overtake his normal teeth. The black slimy stripes that jump out of him are as good as ever. I know see those are his pants and not part of the symbiote.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
