Geek joke?

I am not sure what the hidden geek joke was, but the main one was that all of these characters are popular villians. Left to right, they are: The Red Skull, Darth Vader, Frankenstein's Monster, Shredder, and Cobra Commander. I will not waste space by saying what franchise they are from. There is also some foot belonging to someone off panel. The artwork was great in this one and it reminded me of something from Mad magazine. I love how all the characters have those pointed shoes.

I myself was never good at drawing shoes and they always came out pointed. The only shoes I could ever draw well were cowboy boots. I really like the detail put into everything, particularly with the shadings. While a humorous submission, it always pays to have good artwork. Darth Vader looks like he's, uh, black.

One of my favorites as well

In the description, I am referring to both the show and this piece of work. I have seen drawings as wonderfully done as this on other websites, but this is the first time I have seen one here. The characters are drawn in a very realistic manner. As I have said before, it's not like those creepy Untoons where they look like monsters. This keeps the style of cartoons but adds in much more detailed art. Even the expressions on the character's faces seem to really match up well the personalities.

It's just a typical day for these characters. I am glad to be introduced to such great artwork as this on Newgrounds. Bender especially looks fantastic with how much effort was put into the shades drawn on him. You might make it higher than an "E" because of Bender smoking the cigar. It's a brilliantly done piece with great detail.

Simple?

You are too humble on yourself, this is actually a very detailed drawing! Sure, it doesn't have much in terms of background but still very nicely done. You really manage to capture the idea of a radio chat as the guy has an earpiece. I am guessing he is supposed to be a vampire of some sort? It's artwork like this that really makes me think you were inspired by Jhonen Vasquez. I loved the NG icons on his shirt.

He has the Agnry face and Dad from "Dad 'N Me" there. The eyes are great too because they're mostly yellow with those black streaks just crossing his eyes. His smile is a great one of malicious glee. That shoe he's wearing looks like a cowboy boot in the position it's on. I hope you keep on making great art pieces like this.

Hard to comprehend

I guess the main fault with me is that I just have no idea what is going on here. I am thinking that maybe this was supposed to be in the vain of Baman Piderman. Batman and Spiderman seem to show up together a lot in silly parodies. The best thing about this was the artwork. It's just really impressive that it disappoints me how I could not understand this. I guess it really helps to be more familiar with the characters as they are apparently from this comic.

BTW, there's these little words that say "Smug Smug" when Lo is saying "Oh yeah". I had to get a big screenshot of it because I thought it said "Smile Smile" at first. The best panel is probably the one where he becomes Bat-Guy. I like the colors used in the background for that one. I guess this should please your big fans.

Lions are scary

I thought this was going to be a drawing of one of the characters from "Pulp Fiction". Of course, it turned out to be something just as cool. This probably was a reference to PF in some way. I can just imagine the lion in his suit as Samuel L. Jackson but now I realize it is probably more of a "Chappelle's Show" reference. It makes you wonder if he's chomping on barbacued zebra when asking that question. I read too much "Pearls Before Swine".

The best part is how there is so much great detail put into the lion's face. While there is no color, there looks like there's a great shading effect with how he just stands (or I guess lions don't stand) there. While it's a talking lion, it's actually a very realistic reendition of a lion. It's like you got close enough to one at the zoo to draw this. Even the words he says have great art in them.

BiggCaZv2 responds:

That reference to the Chappelle's Show is actually a reference to Sam Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction, so its a bit of both there.

Thanks much for the review.

Woah!

This is an extremely disturbing Halloween submission, not that I have any problem with that or anything. The best thing was probably how Death had such a fantastic design! I am surprised this got an "E" rating considered that there was quite a bit of blood in it. Well, at least it didn't show any open wounds. It's really sweet to see how well Death and the boy contrast with each other! That's a good artist when you can draw two vastly different characters like that in the same image.

Death kind of looks like one of the band members from Gorillaz. I love how his hair just seems to consume his head and practically his entire body. There are just swirls everywhere, something that I like seeing in art. It seems like the boy has a bag of money or perhaps a bag of candy he's letting go of. I doubt he's an actual vampire, just dressed as one.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
