That's some hot wasabi!

This is a really cool drawing because it really does the character Venom justice. The scariest thing is probably how his smile just tears apart his face. He kind of reminds me of the Joker from "The Dark Knight". There is just so much detail put into all the veins and arteries all over his body. There is so much detailed into all of the teeth and the drool coming from it as well. His teeth actually don't go along his face like his mouth does as you just see the inside parts of his flesh.

Of course, I don't even know if Venom has any flesh in his purest body form. What's also cool is the use of shading in the background. It's almost as if darkness is coming from his body. I can even notice the cracks and crevices that are on his, er, eyes. While there is not any blood or gore, it's still a truly frightening picture.

Just never had a bad submission

I have never heard of Quel2many before, but this is a great drawing. What's really great is that he has such a perfect appearance of sadism. He has this great evil joy his face shows by looking at the viewer. There is a lot of detail put into all of the little strands of blackness that go out. Even the rock he's sitting on seems to be so crooked. It just goes to show how much you can do if you do not use digital effects whatsoever.

Its styles like this that make earlier work still impressive by today's standards. Not that I have a problem with digital paint, it's just nice to see this every once in a while. These are some of the most grotesque looking fingers I have ever seen in your work. It's cool how his eyes has different appearances and are both threatening. I hope you had a happy Halloween last year!

Nice detail

What I liked about this was that everything seemed to be presented in a fairly cut manner. I will, however, say that I would like it if there were some flashier effects. It just seems a little dull entirely in black and white. This character looks a lot like Jason Voorhees and I bet that was the intention. You could also use a background of any kind. It might not be an art piece I would recommend, but it is far from terrible.

I suggest you maybe put in more details onto his lines and not just a lot of negative space. You have potential as the designs aren't bad, especially around the hair. I would imagine a mobster as being a character who would instead use a gun, but I guess not here. The best thing is probably the use of dark colors presented on his coat. I also like the finer details like the holes on his toolbox or whatever it is.

That's some hot wasabi!

While it may not be the scariest of your work, it is still very well done. The best part is probably how there are so many vibrant colors being used. I guess that might have contributed to why you thought this was not that scary. You don't have to be to make a truly great piece of art! The images are still quite demented and they give you a fairly good feeling of madness. I liked how the main figure appeared to be sitting in the middle of some room.

You can tell from the darkness surrounding her (him?). The yellow ghost looks like he's made of pizza! I guess you are glad it is around Halloween time to submit things like this. The best design is probably the zombie on the far right with that blue and black striped tongue pointing everywhere. Their bodies are in such bent out shapes.

Hey this is alright!

It took me awhile to even recognize the characters who were in this drawing! I am glad I can now easily understand it to be Goku and Vegeta from "Dragonball Z". I have no idea who the little guy in the middle coming out of their fists is. He's still pretty cool to have around. While the drawing is good, it does kind of turn me off a bit. It just seems to be a style so different for the DBZ characters. Also, their necks (especially Goku's) seem too long.

The little arrow pointing out to where their fists are bumping is pretty cool as well. The characters are actually drawn in a fairly realistic manner. I guess I have to give you points for accuracy even if it did not suit my tastes that well. It's cool how you can see how this was done entirely on pencil with the lines. It was, wasn't it?

Test tube?

It's kind of weird how a vampire would fit in with science, but the idea is still nice. I believe that this could have had some more detail but it's decent because the colors are good. These are the kinds of colors you should use more. Of course, you do always go for a dark style which doesn't use bright colors. It looks more like a Frankenstein's monster like creature than a vampire. I guess the stitches make me think that.

The use of markers isn't half bad in this, although it isn't of the highest quality. It was great to include a description as well. It's things like this that make me sad that you only managed to submit a single thing. I like how the light appears in the middle of the creature and slowly radiates the space around it. You're still keeping the pointed fingers.

Oh yea this is a 3 year old drawing! Course it's not up to par with my recent works. Yea the marker quality isn't great, Markers in my case do not fare well when trying to give everything a similar tone. You know i would submit more in the flash portal, but I don't animate. I can't afford a tablet, don't have the patience to animate, and the man who helped get my stuff out has a life and things get in the way. It wouldn't be fair if I pressured him. If others offered it would be quite wonderful.

Anyway yea this is an old concept that needs polishing after being ignored for 2 years.

Lots of great detail

It would have helped if there was some color in this, but apart from that, it's pretty much flawless. What's amazing is that each monster has a very unique design to it. The coolest part is how none of them are designed the same. These don't even seem to be creatures that come from ordinary mythology but your own creations! The main thing playing the organ seems to be similar to Edward Scissorhands. Even then, it has an original design, especially with how it seems to be missing one arm.

The scariest is probably the one with all the mouths on its body. It's completely expressionless except for the unnatural cavities. Another great one is the skeleton wearing the uniform. It reminds me of the Red Skull from Marvel Comics. There are just so many messed up faces that are staring into the watcher's eyes.

Not quite as good as the first

This probably gets a 9/10 from me only because the first one is slightly better. What's interesting about this art piece is that you go a lot for the mythology of MC. That is, all of the victims here are represented in the style of the character's designs. You can kind of make out these are a little more skull shaped than regular versions. I love how there's that giant sharp-toothed smile to accompany the image. Hank himself just really turns into a monster in this image.

He has this super long tongue that reminds me of the bubble gum I got for Easter. The clawed fingers are back and work really well on everybody. It seems to have spikes on his back or maybe that's just his spine popping out. I just love how there's so much detail in every aspect. You are getting better with your artwork all the time.

Really cool

I really like this image because of how silly it is. It's funny because Well Educated Man looks a lot like PickleMan, a character created by Mockery. He also resembles the art style of Gary Larson, the creator of "The Far Side". It's been such a long time since I have seen that guy's artwork, it's great to see something similar to it. I love how WEM looks so dumb with that funny little graduation cap on his head. What's really cool is how well pronunced the characters are.

It's really cool how you got the lines and shading so right. It was interesting to look at your really cool name in both your nickname and your actual name. These two characters just have such a luck of joy in their eyes and faces. It could have used a background as it did not have one. There's still a good amount of dimension in their appearances.

One of the best!

As this is the first Madness Combat art piece I have ever reviewed, I am very glad to say it is also one of the best that I have ever stumbled across! Everything is just so real and innovative in this drawing. I so wish that you would work to make an MC cartoon, maybe for next Madness Day. This really shows off the zombie appearance of Hank. It's cool because he could be considered a zombie, but there are actually different kinds of zombies in the MC world. The faces on the sides are a great touch as well.

I can see a standard Madness character being stabbed in the face. The rest of the faces seem so normal and while it makes little sense, it's still sweet to look at. I also love how the blood is just waving around the entire picture. While not done with fingers, everything is just drawn in such a crooked way. Hank almost looks like a hunchback.

linda-mota responds:

Thank you so much for the positive reviews! Unfortunately I don't animate nor own a pen tablet. I would love for someone to animate a madness day script I wrote, but people on this site have lives. it ok. ^_^

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
