Very nicley done

I really liked this submission because it puts a whole new perspective on an everyday object. This is probably how a cockroach would see a flyswatter. I guess it would be more appropriate to have it be an actual fly, but I'm just being nitpicky. There's actually another cockroach running away, but it isn't about to be killed. What was also neat were the little white splat marks that were everywhere. It makes you realize that this flyswatter has taken lives before.

The coloring is just very well done in this. While it doesn't use the more colorful colors, there's still a wonderful job done with the shading. The flyswatter seems to be acting like a plant as it's emerging from the crevices. The sharp teeth are drawn very nice as well. Adding "Of Doom" to something is always cool.

Really cool

This was great because it was the first time you submitted something with multiple panels. It now makes me realize that you deserve to be at a website called "webcomic site". Apart from having the great artwork, it's just so funny. Granted, Ash killed zombies, but I suppose he would have killed vampires as well. Especially vampires that were hated by so many of the general population! It seems like this was your first time drawing these characters and it went great.

I love how stupid Edward looks with his big puffy lips. I don't know exactly why, but he looks like he's an Oriental in some way with that shirt. Ash had the best design with the well detailed shading in his face. It's funny how Bella's hair just flew backwards upon Edward getting shot. It is probably the funniest thing you have made here.

Geek joke?

I am not sure what the hidden geek joke was, but the main one was that all of these characters are popular villians. Left to right, they are: The Red Skull, Darth Vader, Frankenstein's Monster, Shredder, and Cobra Commander. I will not waste space by saying what franchise they are from. There is also some foot belonging to someone off panel. The artwork was great in this one and it reminded me of something from Mad magazine. I love how all the characters have those pointed shoes.

I myself was never good at drawing shoes and they always came out pointed. The only shoes I could ever draw well were cowboy boots. I really like the detail put into everything, particularly with the shadings. While a humorous submission, it always pays to have good artwork. Darth Vader looks like he's, uh, black.

Okay, THIS is your best

This is the greatest art piece you have worked on yet, and I especially adored how the Scarecrow was drawn! While it may not have seemed that much like his comic book counterpart, it's still magnificently done. It's so cool how he looks like a combination of the Scarecrow and the Terminator in this one! The colors presented in this are just so amazingly lush. The background is great and probably the most unique of its kind you have ever worked on.

This just goes to show that you are a very talented person at art. I wish you made more submissions featuring this great stuff! I'm not all that familiar with the comics, so I don't know if he's holding some weapon he used then or what. His smile is delightfully sadistic too. You even went the extra mile to make your own poem for this masterpiece!

One of my favorites as well

In the description, I am referring to both the show and this piece of work. I have seen drawings as wonderfully done as this on other websites, but this is the first time I have seen one here. The characters are drawn in a very realistic manner. As I have said before, it's not like those creepy Untoons where they look like monsters. This keeps the style of cartoons but adds in much more detailed art. Even the expressions on the character's faces seem to really match up well the personalities.

It's just a typical day for these characters. I am glad to be introduced to such great artwork as this on Newgrounds. Bender especially looks fantastic with how much effort was put into the shades drawn on him. You might make it higher than an "E" because of Bender smoking the cigar. It's a brilliantly done piece with great detail.

Simple?

You are too humble on yourself, this is actually a very detailed drawing! Sure, it doesn't have much in terms of background but still very nicely done. You really manage to capture the idea of a radio chat as the guy has an earpiece. I am guessing he is supposed to be a vampire of some sort? It's artwork like this that really makes me think you were inspired by Jhonen Vasquez. I loved the NG icons on his shirt.

He has the Agnry face and Dad from "Dad 'N Me" there. The eyes are great too because they're mostly yellow with those black streaks just crossing his eyes. His smile is a great one of malicious glee. That shoe he's wearing looks like a cowboy boot in the position it's on. I hope you keep on making great art pieces like this.

Hard to comprehend

I guess the main fault with me is that I just have no idea what is going on here. I am thinking that maybe this was supposed to be in the vain of Baman Piderman. Batman and Spiderman seem to show up together a lot in silly parodies. The best thing about this was the artwork. It's just really impressive that it disappoints me how I could not understand this. I guess it really helps to be more familiar with the characters as they are apparently from this comic.

BTW, there's these little words that say "Smug Smug" when Lo is saying "Oh yeah". I had to get a big screenshot of it because I thought it said "Smile Smile" at first. The best panel is probably the one where he becomes Bat-Guy. I like the colors used in the background for that one. I guess this should please your big fans.

Some of your best!

Dude, this drawing is completely sweet and I love how there's so much detail put into it! It seems to be something completely different from you that works so wonderfully! Who knew that a series depicting a little pink guy could be so intimidating? I love this little poem you have attached to your piece as well. It's stuff like this that reminds me of the drawings made by school students that made it into an art show. I actually went to one of those shortly before starting to write art reviews.

The shading is done so wonderfully you seem to be able to find new things whenever you look at it. For example, I just now noticed that there's a bunch of red shapes in the background. It looks like Kirby is pulling a jewel out of a tunnel or something. No, I have never played Kirby 64 so I do not understand this scene well. The villianous figure looks great too.

Lions are scary

I thought this was going to be a drawing of one of the characters from "Pulp Fiction". Of course, it turned out to be something just as cool. This probably was a reference to PF in some way. I can just imagine the lion in his suit as Samuel L. Jackson but now I realize it is probably more of a "Chappelle's Show" reference. It makes you wonder if he's chomping on barbacued zebra when asking that question. I read too much "Pearls Before Swine".

The best part is how there is so much great detail put into the lion's face. While there is no color, there looks like there's a great shading effect with how he just stands (or I guess lions don't stand) there. While it's a talking lion, it's actually a very realistic reendition of a lion. It's like you got close enough to one at the zoo to draw this. Even the words he says have great art in them.

BiggCaZv2 responds:

That reference to the Chappelle's Show is actually a reference to Sam Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction, so its a bit of both there.

Thanks much for the review.

Now THAT is different

I was aware of the Girlchan contest, but I had no idea you were going to submit something! It's been awhile since I have seen the cartoons but I can still recognize the characters fairly well. It was really cool how you managed to draw two different styles in the same picture. I guess the one in the fantasy was more of an Egoraptor imitation while the rest was your own. It's just great to see how insane these characters look. I knew you were going to put some blood in this.

I don't know how far you got with your entry, but this is really good. I love how the more cartoonish drawings depict the white shirted guy as having sharp teeth. It's a great dose of dark humor. You could have maybe put some color into the weapons that were on the wall. It's not a biggie, but something to be improved.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
