Twisted!

Seeing as how this was ranked by Tom Fulp as the best audio submission of all time, I knew it was going to be good. It's not particularly easy to remember the lyrics, but it's very fun to listen to. What makes this so powerful is how demented it manages to be. It's all an around acid trip that references how ridiculous it is. It looks like it has been animated to something, and it could be used in many creative ways. It's a good study of the true deepness and insanity, that is...well, insanity.

It was ranked what? I didn't know Mr. Fulp listened to this, and seeing how awesome this site is, I am very excited and happy to hear that he thought so. Thanks for the review and all the kind words!

Amazing!

I remember first going to play the "Tetraform" game and remembering how cool the music was. It is great as always to see how it works when presented in its rawest and original form. This gives off a really great sense of wonder and fascination. It did sort of remind me of the stars, but it was also about a big journey and unknown things. While not the most pleasant of games, this has got to be one of the happiest and most joyful things I have ever heard! Thank you very much for spreading this joy.

You're so welcome man! I'm really glad you liked this song, even if the game might not have been your absolute cup of tea. =)

Very cool

It really is amazing just how much you can do by taking something that sounds so simple. While I'm not familiar with the tune, it seems as though you didn't have much to work with. It's always interesting to find out how you can turn a little into a lot. It may have been a little repetitive, but overall it was very nice. It's always funny to hear that little "What the f*ck" at the beginning (and when it starts up again). It was a little hard to understand the theme, but it didn't need to have a clear one.

Heos responds:

This is an original song using a real NES. No emulation, it's the real deal.

Awesome!

I am so glad that I got the chance to watch this underappreciated masterpiece! This is a great song simply because it knows how to go all over the place. It starts off sounding pretty surreal, but things get crazier when you add the lyrics in! I thought this was just as good as anything made by anyone professional. You give off feelings of ascending around the first minute and can really add a story to your work. I am very glad I was exposed to all of the musical talent that you have.

chouji7 responds:

wow, im really glad you think so mate. it feels good to get such a great review.
well, check back in a couple of days, im currently downloading some songs for another mix, that shouldnt be too long in the making. although it wont be as crazy as this, im gonna go for a lighter more house electro style.

It is quite pleasant

When I saw this at the beginning, I wasn't expecting much, but I was quite surprised at how it got better. It wasn't supposed to have a lot of action or anything like that, it just worked nice as being a brief slice of life stroy. This is indeed reminiciscent of classical jazz. It reminds me a lot of piano more than it would, say, saxaphone. I'm glad it has been used in so many entries. It is an awesome song and you really know how to get your theme on!

Hacsev responds:

Thank you, Ericho!

Very cool stuff

I am glad you worked to make something really decent with this. You are not the kind of guy who works with video game stuff much, so it's nice to hear your take on NES sounds. I honestly can't really recognize them which probably proves how good you have remixed it. This was indeed a bouncy, fun little thing that gave off a feeling of happiness. It's nice that I am listening to a casual song right before leaving for a big Christmas vacation. May I wish you a Merry Christmas as good as mine should be!

Doki responds:

When I said "NES lead" I meant it was inspired by the NES. There are no samples in this one.

I like this a lot!

It was really interesting how you put a story with it. I was thinking about why you didn't just make a flash out of it but then I realized there were once things called books used to tell stories. I felt that this really fit the mood, and it was very sweet, if short. It does remind me of happy old winter times when I was a kid. Seeing as how I haven't played in the snow (I haven't been able to) ever since I was a kid, it really fits. I also like how it gives the feeling of meeting an old loved one.

Rawrthaas responds:

Hah thanks. I wrote that over 2 years ago.. now that I think about it, it's kind of embarrasing, hehe.

Very nice music

I wasn't the biggest fan of the Larry flash, but this was very good music. It has a wonderful collection of ringing churchbells or some kind of instruments like that. I believe I could vaguely hear some voices, which added to it's authenticness. I felt that this gave off a good feeling of triumphantness and the beginning of a journey which is what it was used for. I am of course a big fan of JAZZA and it's nice to see stuff he has used, even if it wasn't made by him. This was quite impressive and I hope you continue to be successful in the future.

DavidOrr responds:

Thank you for your kind words- glad you enjoyed it!

Good action!

This may not be the most original song out there, but it was certainlly action like enough to love. This had a really good idea of building up stress and just going everywhere. By that I mean, it has a good sense of adventure that features someone going on an epic journey. I was impressed at how well this kept up, even if the song wasn't long. I can now understand the theme of an apocalyptic setting more. It makes me think more of going to escape it, like in the movie "2012".

Hades responds:

It does sort of give that "Damn, I gotta go run 'n' hide somewhere" feeling, doesn't it? XD Thanks a lot for the review, dude, it means a lot to hear that people appreciate my creative work!

Pokemon?

I could have sworn I have heard nearly every "Pokemon" song out there, but this does not seem to fit anything I remember. It does not even seem like "Pokemon" in general. This didn't stop it from being a great song as it has a lot of different styles used. It almost sounded like a disco remix about a minute in. I really liked how the sound built itself down and then built itself up again for its tunes. It also managed to give off a good sense of wonder and awe, which suits it well.

Jebbal responds:

I guess only TRUE HARDCORE pokemon fans will remember this song. Its a pokemon song i swear! I like your words "wonder and awe", you're probably talking about everything that happens after the build up in the middle, I agree it does give off that feeling =)

Thanks for the review!
