Had its bad points

I wasn't sure how to get the tone of this one, but I guess it didn't need it. I think this may have worked a bit too well in terms of being just stratches on a track. I wasn't able to decipher much at all and it seemed a little repetitive after awhile. Still, I admit this was a pretty original idea and you seemed to do with it what you wanted to. I am a fan of zany stuff and this does fit the idea of that pretty well. I'm glad you were at least able to get a high score on something that's pretty original.

MmmCake responds:

thanks! yeah, its more of a idea then a full out thought-through song.

thanks! :D

Awesome song!

That "Fear The Night" flash sure has the best music to go with it. I enjoyed every second of this, and I especially appreciate the more ambitious themes you put into it. It kind of seemed like it was about a haunted house, but really tried to be more adventerous and wondering. It would be great for a game or really any adventure like theme. I love how the beats rise and fall over time. While it didn't really give me a feeling of fear as it did action, this was a fantastic submission and I hope to check out your future work!

bossler13 responds:

thanks dude! I'm glad you enjoyed it. and I agree that it doesn't give off fear so much as angst I suppose, but the title fit in my opinion still. thanks for the review!

Houston?

I congradulate you on moving to Houston and any other personal triumphant experiences you may have had lately. I was impressed at how well this was paced. It was hard to discover the theme or tone, but it was certainly something awesome! I guess it was more of a futuristic punk beat than anything else to me. I love this style of music and thank you for showing me more of it. Also congradulations on being Tom Fulp's new #1 spot for best audio submission!

LollipopNightmare responds:

Oh wow, Thanks! ^,^

I'm actually in Seattle now. I've moved around so much lately, but I think I'm in Washington to stay. I've been working on some new stuff lately, so keep an ear out.

Thank you again for your comment.

Very nice

I knew I had heard this before and I have as Momentum Missile Mayhem is one of my favorite games (I have a lot of course). I was very impressed at how this lived up to exactly what it was supposed to be. You don't need to have a lot of action or crazy stuff going on to make something good. The use of instruments was nice too. I thought it was funny how this has been used in more action games, although probably as menu music. It does indeed loop as do most (if not all) of the audio stuff here anyway.

SolusLunes responds:

And there's an extended version! :D

Very funny!

Well, I must said that this was a great song to listen to and very catchy. I didn't know Tom Fulp was so popular with the ladies, but it really figures. I especially like how funny your voice sounded and it was nice of Tom Fulp to say his personal opinion. The different types of women you listed was probably the funniest parts. The use of instrumentals was very nice as well and the pauses always helped. I'm glad you made a parody (or satirical piece) as funny as this.

CountBoogie responds:

Tom is a true playa, he just wants to be humble. Thanks for noticing the pauses too, it took me a while to get those down pat. Thanks for the review Ericho-o-o-o-o.

Great!

This is some of the best stuff I have heard in a long time. I like how you went and had such a lengthy description of all of the work you put into this. It really does show, as it manages to have a lot of transitional effects while keeping the beat. I was also impressed by how this manages to keep its pace well for three and a half minutes, never being boring or anything. I could simply just enjoy the stylistic beat it had going. It's a pit hard to put into a category, but it's something definitley good.

Marks-a-lot responds:

If only I had spent more time on the song and less time on Street Fighter and Butouden 2. It is a pretty solid track though and I have to say I stayed true to my own genre, that's why it's so hard to generalize. Thanks for the review.

Nice song

I'm already familiar with the Super Smash Bros [Brawl] music, and this was nice. It was a good representation of how good the original music was supposed to be and how you can alter it. It wasn't among the best stuff I've ever heard, but it was done well. I guess I may have just heard so much stuff it's all starting to sound similar. I liked the use of the cymbals and all of the other instruments. I also like the triumphant music we get at around 3 minutes in.

flashmac responds:

Thanks man

Very nice

It was hard for me to understand what the tone/theme of this was really supposed to be. From the title "Zatoichi" I was thinking it was trying to imitate the Oriental theme a lot. The beginning, however, made me think it was more about the Middle East and a desert themed thing. I also thought it could be a tribute to kung fu style stuff. The interlude at the middle was a pretty intersting touch as well. Anyway, this had a lot of stuff going for it and it worked out pretty well.

war-spawn responds:

Yeah, you're not the only one who thought it sounded middle eastern.

Very strange

Well, that was one of the strangest songs I have probably ever heard. I did like at least most of it even though I couldn't tell what was going on. It's easy to realize this was influenced by David Lynch of "Eraserhead" (who I haven't seen any movies of). I'm a huge fan of surrealism but this did come off as a little bit confusing. It was still very impressive on how you handled all of those different instrumentals and sound clips. You really put some effort into this, and it shows.

InvisibleObserver responds:

I'd highly recommend checking out some clips from the film, it might make this song make far more sense, its highly reflective.

The best I've ever heard?

Woah, this is some of the best music I have ever heard in my life. With the title "Deff Note", I at first thought this was just going to be something goofy. It did get slightly goofy 30 seconds in, but managed to be serious and spectacular! I am not the biggest Death Note fan, but this captured everything about everything that's great about anything! I also love how you seem like such a nice person, saying that there's no such thing as haters. You are one of the most talented people I have ever encountered on the Internet, and may good fortune bless your whole life.

DJ-Delinquent responds:

this isnt even half my talent
