Star Wars!

I believe those sounds were used in the "Phantom Menace" Star Wars movie. It was weird how the title did not even reference how it was. It was just great to hear all these great lines, especially Chewbacca roaring. The tone in this was really dark and it had a great overtone to it. I could just hear the Stroomtroopers running upstairs so dramatically, or maybe that was Darth Vader or someone like that. The original sounds and music used are also really cool and flow together quite well.

Breed responds:

Thanks sir, the bassline is supposed to be like a lightsaber. I can't say that any sounds are actually from the star wars movie. Many are made to just sound like it. I know the sound designer for the series and I've seen him do some sound design clinics, so there's really easy ways to make some start wars stuff for me, Anyways, thanks for your time and a nice review again!

Cheers!

T-O-Y, toy

This was great fun to listen to if only because the "Toy Story" movies are probably my favorite film series of all time. It was probably not more fun because I wanted to hear more sounds from the movies! Still, this was great to listen to because it was quite surreal. I generally do not think of these things when I think of "Toy Story". I visualized something like a great bowl of jelly just jumping around everywhere. There was certainly variety, as there also seemed to be some Christmas sounds.

Breed responds:

Yea I wanted it go from a real light and major feel(which dubstep doesnt have often) and kinda jump into the real style with some kind of demonic vocals. Turns out Buzz's voice did just fine. Thanks for putting the time into an awesome review! I always love hearing other peoples imagery.

Cheers!

It is pretty weird

Of all the crazy stuff I have heard, this is weird, but probably not among the weirdest songs I have ever heard. There is a lot of style in this because it keeps up a continual rate of insanity. It was fun to visualize what was being represented here. I guess everything I visualize seems to be related to "Sonic The Hedgehog" these days. It made me think of not so much a broken rollercoaster, but really any fun and crazy thing to do. The use of drums is very good and so is the record stratching.

Pocketpod responds:

Well with "Broken Rollercoaster" I thought on something like youre on a rollercoaster which is dangerous to ride^^

Thanks for review!

More of the same

It seems like there was not much point in making this, as it is quite similar to the previous one. I just wished this would have been longer again! I am still surprised your music was not used by MindChamber as not only is it great but it seems so familiar. It just has the right combination of action and surrealism that makes Madness Combat so enjoyable. I could not even tell it was sped up that much as only parts of it seem sped up. I am not sure how to explain that, but anyway, this was great.

blackzilver responds:

No sweat the full version of this song was used in one of Tom Fulp and Mindchamber games! :)

Tom Fulp liked it at least!

This is so familiar that I am very surprised that it was not used in a single submission here! You made something great because you tried to create something that has such a holy sound. When you add darkness to it, it becomes perfectly appropriate for Madness! My favorite was probably at the beginning where it seemed like the song was being played backwards. Of course, it is also great with the more ambitious parts. It kind of makes me a bit sad this was not longer.

blackzilver responds:

Yeah it was after all a demo track. Thanks though for the review. An dsorry for the late respond since i dont visit my account much :(

Okay

It is hard to review something that is so short, but this was probably not the worst thing I have ever heard. If it had any strong points, it would be that it does manages to jput a lot in despite being only 14 seconds long. I am not sure what this had to do with Madness Combat. It seemed more like an "All Your Base" tribute. I have no clue if this will be featured in any Madness submission, besides possibly your own. It does get a bit annoying after listening to it for such a long time.

Christopher78 responds:

Ok so if I originally did a 2:10 music vid u would like it WITH DIFFERENT PARTS
like the sparta remix it would be better

The best!

I keep thinking of Plankton from "Spongebob Squarepants" when I see this title. This is a wonderfully made song because it is simply chock full of ambition. It is the kind of song that makes you sad when it is over, even if it is longer than the average audio submission. I also love how it begins and ends the same way. There are some good transitions here, but the best thing it sticks to its basic music which is simply fantastic. I could easily hear this in a professional short cartoon.

Pezmobile responds:

Wow Thanks dude. I really wasn't thinking of plankton from spongebob at all when i named it. I just picked something random and catchy.

Good volume

This was a really fun thing to listen to because you really did try to take off on MindChamber's best stuff. It even manages to be great in its own, as after awhile it was hard for me to recognize it as a style of his. I do not like it hot it seems to wait so long to start up again. I can easily decipher the tone of this given what it was made for. The best part was in the beginning where the sound seemed to invert itself. The tone seemed to be more ambitious than eerie as many Madness songs are.

YouriX responds:

Yo thanks for the review. Did all i could do. Also a thats avery nice review by the way :)

Very well done

I was impressed by this because it really went out to set a style of its own. It seemed to have an ambitious tone to it and a great sense of adventure. It is weird how it came out at Christmas time, even though it has nothing to do with Christmas. This appears to be something that would be more suited for Robot Day. I could almost hear some shades of David Hasselhoff's "Knight Rider" in there. It also came as being really mysterious or going to unknown territory or something like that.

Dungeecount responds:

Thanks :D Yeah people keep describing all of my work that way XD not just my music. I think you're the first person to take note of when this came out. If I had known about Robot Day, I would have made something. But I never heard of head or tail of it until it came! :( was NOT pleased.... It never did have anything to do with Christmas, it was just coincidental and I wanted to make something before the year was out. I think what surprises me most about this is the fact that I STILL want to listen to it every day, usually I just get really freaking sick of hearing my music over and over again after making it. I might make a remix, I've been thinking about it.
-Thanks for your review :D I must have really felt like typing today, this is a novel compared to my other responses XD

Quite stylistic

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this because it was just great to hear it live up to its title. I used to play the piano all the time when I was a kid, but I eventually stopped doing it. I never tried the violin, so it is interesting to hear a comparison. The kind of music that is played on both instruments is great in itself. It feels as though you were looking to create a battle in a medeival atmosphere. Some of the notes are drawn out, but this helps to increase the amount of emotion you hear in the song.

Drawoh responds:

wow, nice description
Thanks :D
