Interesting game

I can understand why this has amassed so much popularity on this website. It is certainly a game that gives you the feeling that it took a ton of effort to make. What's also great is how you can really go out and explore this amazing world. Some of the glitches are rather annoying, though. I think the worst part is how you can get cornered and finished off by a single alien way too easily. I think this may be the first game here where I got a medal before getting an achievement.

It really gives off the idea of playing a professional game. I have only played online games like this and not Playstation ones with any real games. I hope to continue to realize how to use this genre. The sounds are very nice and it gives off a good, authentic feeling. It's certianly a massive game and one you'll want to spend time with a lot.

Well, that was nice

I admit that this game had little going on, but I didn't care. What was awesome was how I was able to get so many medals with a fairly high number of points so quickly. In the end, isn't that what this website is all about? I just love how everything is so simply designed. I even managed to get the secret medal on my first try without even really doing anything. It's really so brief it's not a point and click game.

They should make a book called "Medals For Dummies". It would show us all the games that have the easiest to get medals. Well, I guess I could recommend you putting in some sound or something, but it really doesn't need it. Oh, and I just got every single medal. You are a saint for making something so easy.

Really fun!

I was afraid this was going to be too hard at first, but then it got better. It's hard to tell what map is the best for you to make. I remember the original version of this game that I had real fun with. It's especially cool to see how you manage to get so many high point medals without really even knowing what you're supposed to be doing. It also helps that the animation in this is very well done and gives off a great sense of cartoonishness.

It's hard to ask to improve anything, because these are all custom-made! It's great to have a game where we can truly show off our creativity. This is one of the more fun custom level games I have played. I hope we all continue to make well done games like this. The music is also nice and it gives off a good feeling of being in a casual game.

Not too bad of a game

What I found most interesting about this was how well you kept up the style of simplicity the whole time. At the same time, I do wish it could have been more detailed. It doesn't have that much going for it, but it's certainly not bad. What I found to be weirdest about this was how the gravity moved around so differently. It was hard to make heads or tails of what was going on. At least I can tell this was made to just be a harmless game.

The medals in this are fairly hard and you might want to make a few easy ones to be more popular. I am now recognizing avoid games a lot more. They're not my favorite genre, but they are pretty good for hand eye coordination. The music was pretty good and gave off a nice, casual feeling. The overall graphics could have been better, though.

Not a bad collab

It's been awhile since I've seen a collab game, so this was quite refereshing. What I didn't like about it was how it wasn't that well detailed. At least you guys managed to create some fairly different levels to interact with. I think the weirdest part about this was probably how I was foolish enough to go with the "Hard" mode at first, which was a disaster. I also liked how you could play Pong while you waited for the game to load. It's fairly nice all around.

Now, it could have more going on but a collab like this doesn't need that. If a game was really that complicated, it would have made a submission in itself. It's interesting to hear how things worked out for this. I liked the wide variety of songs being used. Seeing as how it's numerous games, it makes sense there would be a lot of music.

Fairly well done

What I found to be strange about this was how it looked like I was playing Sasuke. I don't know why this would have a "Naruto" character in it. I guess some people don't like this because it's like a ripoff of "Tetris'd". While the two games are similar, they are still quite different and this is not as good. This does have good styles in its own right because I liked how there were a lot of different sizes. The arrangements the blocks made were really cool.

The weirdest part was probably how I swear I could jump through the bricks. Of course, most of the time, I could not. I don't really know what's up with that, but it isn't that bad of a game. You could have probably made it a little better detailed, as the background was kind of bland. It's the kind of game that's probably above average.

How wonderful!

This was one of my favorite games when the original version came out so it's great to see this! What I love about this is how you have truly improved in terms of graphics. It's only been a couple of years, but it looks so different! I do, however, think I might like the other one better because this one didn't have gameplay that was as good. It's still great to play and it's wonderful that you made it. The music is flawless and really gives you a sense of being in a peaceful world.

It's weird to see those looming shadowy cultish figures sometimes. The rest of the game has such a playful tone, but that's fairly dark. At least you get a good oppurtunity to look into every crevice. I've noticed that this time it seems like you can jump from one place to another with the map a lot easier. That's still not the best thing to do, because there are hidden things to explore that are not on the map. It's simply an all around great game.

Nice for what it is

I would probably enjoy this a lot more if I had some idea as to how to get ahead in it. The weirdest thing is that you don't have much control over your ship. It would help if you could get a clearer view of what's going on and where your ship will land. I will have to give you credit for creating some fairly good music to go with this. It's very ambitious sounding music and it makes you want to go on. I like how it brings a sweet tone to the overall game.

The graphics weren't bad, but I felt this could have been more detailed. At least this has a fairly fun appeal to it. I guess next time, you could make it so that you didn't have to start all the way from the beginning on the first level if you fail. The colors look fairly nice in this. It really looks like you had a fun time making this with its nice appeal.

AndyBrown responds:

Thank you for your critique, I've tried it with the trajectory lines always on, and it doesn't work out very well in motion. We are thinking about working on a sequel where you can pause the ships movement to aim your trajectory changing shot.. and offering the standard slingshot type of control like most of these games have as a default option and leaving in this skill click system as an optional gameplay mode. Also you can skip the tutorial in the first level, there is a skip button on the bottom left =)

It gets better

What I found to be coolest about this was how well it was in terms of pacing. Everything just goes so wonderfully together when you're firing at everybody. It was great how you really had an oppurtunity to dodge the bullets. The guys with the rapid fire machine guns were the worst. It's nice to review something by you as it seems like it's been awhile. I hope you had a merry Christmas even though this had nothing to do with the holiday.

I couldn't understand the title, but the game was so fun I simply didn't care at all. It's also nice how you had such a good variety of music being played and stuff. It's nice to see me going out and making carnage in this weird world. I do wish that the enemies had some better designs to them. It just seemed like the same thing over and over.

Arkuni responds:

It's always nice to see reoccuring reviewers :)
Yeah, more enemies would have been optimal but I had to cut some corners to get it out in a timely fashion.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
