I'm thinking this is the same as the Galaga game I used to play. Dang, that brings back memories! Anyway, I actually thought this was pretty good. It really is interesting to see these different designs. The original game, is of course, better. Then again, I haven't played the exact Phoenix game you're talking about.

I thought the sounds were pretty cool. There really were some nice colors in this. While it can be too difficult (at least in comparison to the game I'm thinking of) it's still pretty nice. A pity it isn't that popular. It's at least decent.

I found this to be a pretty standard game. You deserve credit for making me wanting to go through the instructions. I couldn't understand it all at first. I should realize that even as the most prolific game reviewer, I don't know how to play games without instructions. I thought the music was okay, a little annoying. I think it could have just used more design.

It came off as kind of bland. Now, it really didn't need to be that detailed, but I think it would have helped. I guess it does accomplish what it sets out to do. It seemed to be fine with the level of difficulty. While not too good, not at all bad.

I agree with CyberDevil (I broke my rule). I think the best thing about this was that it was pretty easy to understand. It didn't really matter that much, because it was quite difficult. I couldn't help but think it was because I used a laptop. I still can't say it's a bad game. It was pretty challenging and had a fairly unique design.

I always look for those things in games. I don't think I've ever played the Vectrex game you're talking about. It sounds as hard as this. It's good that you have nice mobility. I think the music's a little too loud.

Like most people, I found this to just be mediocre. It's nice to see new stuff from you. I guess it just got too repetitive, with you shooting and stabbing everyone. It would have worked better as a much longer game. Well, at least a game where it didn't take so long to get out of that single area. It is kind of funny to see this premise.

I think the satire actually works out pretty well. For some reason, it seems more like a game the creator of BEEBO would make. I guess not so much, because he wasn't even the inspiration. I was hoping I could get multiple secret coins. At least that guy doesn't shoot me.

I wasn't expecting an RPG from you. Then again, I should have known it from the title. It looks like you managed to entertain most people. I admit that I'm not much into these kinds of games. I still find this to be a good game. It's mostly because of how fast paced it is. I have never played an RPG as fast as this!

Then again, that's kind of bad because I keep getting killed by alligators. I remember that music from the Kirby games. Well, I never played them, but I heard music like this before in reference to Kirby. There really are a lot of interesting things going on here. While not one of your best, still good.

When I first came across this game, I thought it would be a turret defense game. I should know that's not the only meaning of the word. I really did like how different it was. The problem is, I'm not very good at it. It reminds me of Skeeball if nothing else. I don't think I'm good at those games either.

I appreciate how nice the music is. It probably could have been better with the graphics. That wouldn't be that great, now that I think about it, as that would have just made it even harder. I think it's pretty well paced. I did get an experience out of this.

I didn't know this was actually going to be a game where you played blind, literally. I guess I did like how it was quite different. Of course, I'd have to look at a good tutorial to really get the hang of it. The cutscenes probably would have helped me. It's hard to be motivated to watch them, when there are no medals for this game. I can see why the high scores seem to be so low.

Wait, what this an April Fool's Day joke? Nah, it's too serious for that. It really is quite a unique game. I do recommend this, if you can look past how weird it is. The music's pretty good, too.

Evil-Dog responds:

Medals are coming...but I have to say, you have to be quite the medal whore to only be motivated to play a game or watch cutscenes only if there are medal-carots at the end of the stick, that's just troubling. What happened to just playing games cause they're fun?

I thought this was a really good game. I may not have been motivated to complete the whole thing (or even most of it) but still quite good. You really do know how to set up good atmosphere. I like how good the graphics are. While they aren't too detailed, I think they really work for the surroundings. Yeah, detectives don't wear hats anymore.

You put up a nice creepy place, but it isn't too scary...at least not at first. I'm impressed at the sheer number of songs used for this. It helps to know you went the extra mile. I like how it really is easy to understand. I wish it wasn't so talky, though.

This seemed to remind me of "Adventure Time". I guess it was just because of the snail. You know, I never am able to find that guy in an episode. Oh, and the guy at the end of the level reminded me of the Ice King. I appreciate how the artwork is nicely done. I think that while it doesn't have that much variety, it's still worth checking out.

I also liked the sound effects. You would be surprised at how handy teleporting comes in. I found this to just have good spirit. I admit that some of the pixellation looks a bit bad. Then again, it was made for Stencyl Jam.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
