Wow, this is seriously one of the hardest games I have played in my entire life. The most annoying thing was how the enemies respawned. They just kept knocking me back into more enemies. I had to kill these same guys over and over again. It's not like it was easy to kill him. Even a high powered charge didn't finish most of them off.

I'd think with respawning enemies they'd at least be taken down in one hit. I have no idea how to beat the first boss. Nothing I try damages him. I don't even think he has a health bar! For those of those who are masters, only you should try this out.

SinclairStrange responds:

I don't think it's any harder than the later classic Mega Man games. (Mega Man 4 onwards.) Some enemies don't re-spawn and I'm not sure in the next patch to take out the respawning enemies although that'd defeat it taking homage to Mega Man.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you've not really played old NES games (or classic Mega Man for that fact) They're well known for being rather difficult which for me (and many others) is the appeal of them although I know it's not to everyone's liking.

I'm going to guess you're on the Electro Bot's mid boss, you aim for it's eyes. :)

This wasn't one of my favorite games because it was quite hard. It escalated way too quickly. There just wasn’t enough time to understand what was going on. I guess it just might be my computer. I thought you’d have a score or something. It’s just determined by how many levels you complete.

You could have at least just doubled it on the second level. The music was alright. It didn’t seem too well detailed. Yeah, I know it’s part of this dare, but it isn’t my thing. At least it was unique.

adcrusher524 responds:

Thanks for taking the time to play!
I agree, I've gotten a lot of feedback about the difficulty. I think the people I tested it on while developing got too good, and I made it difficult for them instead of someone who hasn't played it. There definitely needs to be a better ramp into those tough levels, or just easier levels in general.
As for the music, I'll take that as a compliment! :D Music isn't really my thing, so my goal was to make it not terrible. Gotta keep practicing :)
Again, thanks for playing!

I ALMOST got every single medal. I just couldn't find that last plot token. I did manage to find the astronaut token. It's when the yellow guy first appears and you can see it in the energy wave in his hands or whatever that is. It was great taking a slower approach to this. I could appreciate it more.

I still don't quite follow the story. There's just so much going on. The music is great. I'm glad to review all of these. I really am getting into the story more.

JackAstral responds:

Didn't you say you don't read the dialogue ?

I found this to be quite bad. The worst thing was probably how you just had to keep on pressing things. The gameplay didn't make much sense. I guess it was somewhat unique. The music wasn't bad. I have no idea how to get the key.

It just wasn't a rewarding game at all. I wish you could at least pause it. It was too easy to die. My medal for that didn't even show up! On top of that, the graphics were not good at all and looked way too cheap.

AndrewSP responds:

"have no idea how to get the key" : in the tutorial says drag the key on the lock ( you tried it ?)
"The gameplay didn't make much sense" : if you read things in the descriptions you will see that this is a #skill-avoid / infinite climber game# and the reason why he is raising the tower with a magic gauntlet .
"It was too easy to die" : that is the intention :) .
please look again at the game and have a nice day man !

Wow, it's hard to believe that I've missed this game! It won all these awards! I admit that there's a point where I can't advance. I don't even really know how to get further. I'm not even sure if I can buy any upgrades. The home part just seems puzzling to me.

The graphics are really nice. The music is good and pleasant. I like all the little features. You can get away of excess stuff with that eye thing at the top. It has a lot going on.

SoulGame responds:

Normally you can progress by training yourself ! Be sure to upgrade your training room to get the more out of training session. The House is useful because it boost xp and money incomes.
Glad you enjoyed :)

This wasn't bad, but I wouldn't quite recommend it. I think the best part is probably how it gets harder as it goes along. It really is a fairly challenging game. I wasn't even quite sure how to play it at first. I can appreciate how unique it is. The sprite work is quite good.

The announcer was really nice too. I liked all the fine details. While repetitive, it didn't matter. You just had to keep on going and going. I probably wouldn't quite recommend it, but it's not bad.

keybol responds:

Thank you for the positive words!

Wow, this is one hard game. I feel bad about not being better at it. It's just a game that goes on forever. Everything has to be timed perfectly. I mean, there's not much variety here. It's just the same thing over and over.

There's no variety or anything. It's just that aggravating. It would have been as hard as a normal game if there was no constant running! I guess the sounds are nice. If you're a really good player, check this out!

TheeSeaverShow responds:

Thanks for the review. The difficulty is mostly attributed to it being made for mobile devices. (Its actually easier and a lot more fun on there.) As for having no variety, each level you gain new abilities, (Double jump, triple jump, wall slides, wall jumps, glides, blasts, etc.) So in each new level there are longer jumps, higher climbs, and tighter spaces to get through!

Thanks again for the review!

I wish the medal was easier. Yeah, that did kind of take away the enjoyment. I would still definitely recommend this. It really is an innovative idea. I'm not sure why you used a pentagon of all things. I liked all the colors.

Orange is my favorite color next to blue! The sound effects were cute, too. I'm not sure if there's many colorblind people here. Everything was so organized. It's kind of too difficult for me.

JauqGames responds:

The pentagon was something unique that not very many other game developers use (none that I know of). I thought it might have been cool to have. Thank you for your feedback!

I was glad this didn't have that much going on. I didn't want a complicated game like this. I really do like these drawings. I guess it's just hard to get into a comic here. You still manage to make the story interesting. I'm glad the first medal is easy.

I feel bad not reading everything. It seems to be really nice. Oh yeah, you ARE the same guy who did the Ghostbusters ones. I can associate with these characters a bit. The music is great and sets the mood nicely.

Muja responds:

Hello Ericho and thank you for your review!
Yep, I'm the same guy, but this time I also had Giorgia Longo's help with the drawings - she's a terrific artist and pro comics drawer in Italy - and original great music composed and performed by Antonio Mariano (his nickname on Newgrounds is "mararte").

I'm glad you enjoyed the experience, even though you didn't feel like reading all the dialogues - there's a time for reading and a time for playing, can't blame you if you weren't in the mood.

Hope that when you'll feel like reading again, you'll remember this little comic and come back to enjoy the story, too.

Thanks again!
