This was a great and weird game. I didn't see how to get any medals at first. I'm glad I didn't. It was a lot more adventurous that way, shall we say. Hee hee, I rhymed. I don't know why he suddenly audibly talked at the end.

He suddenly switched to Italian too. This is the best submission for Ludum Dare 49. Wait, is it? It's certainly one of the best. I didn't care for this dare (rhymed again!) at first, but have lightened up to it.

plufmot responds:

grazie!

I can honestly see why people wouldn't like it. I did love how insane this was. The title is all I need to like it. I should have known tightrope walking would be hard, especially with a horse. Hey, when God's against you, it's even harder. I just played a game that said I was a god.

No wonder I can't beat this! I wouldn't want to kill myself! This was actually a lot more fun to see how it was played. Thanks for including that. It is EASILY the best in this dare.

jefvel responds:

I totally agree, it's a bit too unforgiving I think. And the balancing part might not be fun to everyone. I just wanted to try out something new for the gamejam. Glad you appreciated it!

While I did like the feel of the game, I couldn't get into it very much. It was mostly because I didn't know how to start over sometimes. I connected the two wires on Level 2. I then clicked onto the play button to go next, but it just showed static. This almost seems like a Creepypasta. I still have a VHS.

It does play DVDs, though. I'd have to watch more walkthroughs. At least you include one short with it. I guess people more used to it would like it. I'm just not motivated enough.

crow-seeds responds:

I'll add a walkthrough soon. My design philosophy was to let the players figure out the components on their own and experiment with the circuitry, which was how I was taught the subject in school. Feel free to send a screenshot of your solution to level 2, it might be a bug or you might be not solving it correctly. Thanks for the input!

Yeah, this was bad. I never liked this jam to begin with. It moved way too slowly. I'm sorry you weren't able to make it faster. I have no idea how to make games anyway. At last you acknowledge it's unfinished.

There needs to be sound. Well, it got past judgement. I didn't even know what the goal was. I do like pizza, though. I couldn't hit space without moving the screen at first.

SunOh responds:

It's a pretty great example on what not to do in a Jam.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't quite get into this. It was mostly because it was just the same thing. Then again, it was at least good for what it was. I appreciate how it's at least unique. Well, it is the first game I've played in this dare. I didn't really learn that much.

I'm just not that much into economics. Oh, I know when the economy's bad. I did like how goofy it was, with how bumpy it could be. It was indeed like a rollercoaster. I don't want to be greedy.

Completely fair, gameplay is very same-y after a while. Thanks for taking the time to play it!

I have to admit that I was kind of turned off by this. It's just weird to have a Madness visual novel. I mean, it's all about action! Still, it's a good little thing by itself. I like how interpretive these characters are. Hey, it's women!

It's weird to see their bodies so big in proportion to their heads. It is just pretty boring. Kevin MacCleod is omnipotent! He should have his own profile here, but it would be too big. Wow, Happy Madness Day 2021 when I'm finally done here!

vhsdreamland responds:

this maybe isn't the right part of this I should be focusing on, but none of the characters here are women actually.

Well, I did like this game for the most part. I will admit that it was just too frustrating! It was hard to really understand how to play it. I could at least get used to it. I just can't get well ahead of it. There's just too much planning involved.

I will say that I like the unique gameplay. You do know how to create some flashy effects. They just don't add up to much. Golf is too frustrated. Miniature golf is much more fun.

Frenchie14 responds:

Here's a tip: don't try to plan everything out at once. Place one portal, see what happens, and then either move it around or place the next portal. Repeat until you've collected everything!

I really did love this game! I will admit that it was pretty frustrating. I didn't understand the purpose of showing that dark area where the block would be. It didn't help out. I'm amazed at these graphics. It looks like something out of "Super Mario Galaxy".

For a cube game, it was wonderfully colorful. You put so much detail into simplistic things. I can't believe people can get up to 15 difficulty on this. It is usually kind. I wish there were like levels.

sarnyoger responds:

the block placement preview becomes pretty vital to playing the game at later stages

Yeah, this is a remake of "Pico Roulette". That can't possibly be a coincidence, right? Maybe it's just a game many people came up with. The graphics were very impressive. You know how to make this suspenseful. The music's always good.

I won! I admit to not knowing how to get to the other levels. I got to a stalemate like four times in a row at first! Again, that can't be a coincidence. Now I can finally say I saw a Madness sprite game or cartoon!

larrynachos responds:

I remade a crappy multiplayer version of pico roulette in pico arcade, but I knew for a while that I wanted to do either a remake or a tribute to it. I think it works just as well in the madness universe.

Yeah ties are common in single player cause the bot chooses randomly.
