I'm a bit sad to say this didn't really capture me. You don't get a medal for not skipping the opening scenes, BTW. It's another game that isn't rewarding. I still acknowledge that people like it. It doesn't even seem that well detailed. The graphics look a tad shoddy.

It's not horrible. It's just not for me. The music is actually quite good. It was a bit hard for me to understand it at first. At least you won Daily Feature.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks anyway, it did get daily feature. Also I think why is because I try to stick with what I do best and many people like it. I do throw some curve balls in every now and then to change things up. The art is my own and I'm happy with it. I admire other artists and dislike others but hey, that's ok. We don't have to like everything, a lot of people do, that's what matters. :)

Okay, this was really weird. It wasn't a game or anything like that at all. It was just a brief description of what the upcoming game would be. That really isn't appropriate for this website. You could have at least turned this into a demo. The animation that was there wasn't that good.

You need a lot more for an entire submission. I don't see the point in this. I'm fairly certain Thing-Thing was inspired by Madness Combat. I mean, so were a bunch of other things. It's like Bunnykill.

ultrafreak responds:

Thank you, you gave me Inspiration.

I'm surprised that this is not more popular. I liked it a lot! I recall the original game. I think this is an improvement as it was more creative. It also helps that the graphics are really good. I guess this really is more of what ninjas do.

Then again, there aren't many of them around anymore. Stupid Somalian pirates! The music was great too. I liked how I didn't have to touch the flag to get ahead. I just had to go past it.

Thank you for your thoughtful review :)
I personally think this is an improvement as well, but on the otherhand I had to ramp down the difficulty considerably due to demands.

I never understood voting dynamics on NG. The reviews can be quite positive and yet still have a less than mediocre overall score. But that doesnt matter, as long as people out there enjoy it, Im happy

It's not a bad game, but there's a problem with it. It clearly says that I scored 600 points and I get no medal. I guess it was a pretty challenging game. You'd be surprised at how often you forget everything. I do appreciate how it's pretty original. I guess it could just be more creative.

Of course, making it more detailed would probably make it harder. The music's pretty good too. I thought the medals would be for beating a level. I guess it's all just one level, not that that makes it any easier. The colors are pretty nice.

SinclairStrange responds:

Yeah, I mean I think I might explore with this idea, it was made quickly in under 12 hours just to take sort of a break from my actual projects I've got going :).

Also just to say, you did unlock a medal, it just doesn't pop up on the screen as I felt it would be a distraction to players :).

The drawings (or sprites, I guess) in this were great, but it wasn't that good. It seemed like a point and click adventure. It just didn't seem worth it. At least you know how to get some of those secret medals. It is fun to see what will happen next. I don't know what that clown sprite is from.

Oh, the video game's canon? You know your stuff. I'm not that big of a Ghostbusters fan, but I like them. It is a pretty creative story. I just wouldn't recommend it personally.

Muja responds:

It's okay, I'm glad you could still find some good in it.
All I can say is I'll try my best with the third and final chapter, hoping you'll like it more!
Thank you for your review!

I'm fairly certain I have played the second part. It's hard to keep track nowadays. I actually do enjoy this game, because it's easy to understand. I even managed to get somewhat far into it. It was interesting to look for all the hidden stuff. Two acorns doesn't seem to do it for the raccoon.

Isn't that more for squirrels? Then again, raccoons are omnivores. The music wasn't bad. I think the animation and graphics were actually pretty good. You get used to it.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks, you are right. I try to do my research before making someone do something, like feed a raccoon. I would fell bad if someone thought it was ok to feed a raccoon acorns if it wasn't really something they might eat in the wild. That would be dangerous on my part. People learn a lot from games, I couldn't live with myself if I was teaching people to do things that are wrong.

Well, what can I say? On one hand, it was really hard. On the other, it was actually still quite fun. I had no idea it would just be that one level. I guess I should have paid more attention to the title. I was surprised at how fast I ran out of bombs.

They were pretty common for me to use after awhile. I do like the idea of fighting hydras. It reminds me of "Hercules". The music is fairly haunting. I'm amazed people can get scores of over 100!

OctoFlash responds:

yeah, those flash bombs are not for wasting! but with the right strategy you can manage to get really far... as we can see. some people are just crazy...
thanks for the review!

At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to do anything with this, but I did understand it more as time went on. I was at least able to figure out how to advance a little. A pity the medals are too difficult. Eh, I'm way too whiny. The music's fairly good. Everything seems pretty organized.

I do not recall the other entries in the series. It was interesting to see both the Earth and Moon from where I was. It makes you wonder what that would look like. Other people like it at least. I've never been into point and click adventure games.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks for the review!!

While I'm not good at these games, this wasn't too bad. You were courageous for submitting this on Clock Day! Then again, it has more views than the Clock cartoons I've seen. If you're a fan of point and click adventure games, I would recommend it. It actually does have an interesting twist on it.

I don't remember the other ones. I liked how it was continuing a story. I will say that the artwork could be better. It looks a bit too old. Thank you for the easy medal.

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks, the art is just my style. I've seen better but then again.. I like it. :)

I couldn't help but think that this was based on the Mario games. It just with how it was with the mustached guys in a platformer. I think it's still great in its own right. It certainly helps to include a tutorial. I managed to love most of it. It's sad how only the red plumber can advance.

Just kidding, of course I don't care! The designs are pretty well done. At least I got the easiest medal! The sounds are quite good in this. You can really get down the tapping of the shoes.

TinSleeves responds:

They do both have pretty awesome moustaches that's for sure!

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
