I was surprised this didn't have anything to do with Clocks. Then again, August 15th is a day where a lot of stuff is sbumitted. I liked this game, even though it was so incomprehensible. What was the point in having that powerup where you could freeze everything if it didn't even do you any good? Even the tank thing still moved around. I guess it was creative at least.

It seemed like the giant eyeball that was firing at me didn't even hurt me. I guess it was supposed to be more of a distraction? The colors are nice and bright at least. It's so crazy it's hard to keep up. Why doesn't it say how many meters you're going while you play the game?

thePalindrome responds:

In order:

Serendipity.

Notice that nothing shot at you while they were frozen.

The tank cannon moving is an issue I'll fix next update

The eyeball, tanks, and saw monster can't hurt you, neither can their bullets. They are distracting and they destroy the buildings, so they'll destroy what you were about to hit.

I guess I should put in the score while you are playing.

Thanks for the review!

Well, I have to at least give you some credit for having a game that has some pretty easy medals to get. I'm pretty much stuck on the last one there. It doesn't matter, because I can just play with this thing all day until I get it. I think it would have been better if you had some sound. Of course, this a Clock inspired flash. You managed to update this in a pretty short amount of time.

I just wanted to say that clicking on the tank logo doesn't work. That seems to look a lot like a penis there. There could have also been a background. At least the "B" was represented in a pretty cool way. Happy belated Clock Day!

TheMajormel responds:

Thanks for the review. You don't have to click the tank logo really, the only thing you can do with it was use directional keys. Thanks for liking my take on the "B"

I guess I have no choice but to wish you a Happy Clock Day! While this didn't really have anything to do with clocks, it's still a really cool game. I do wish that the graphics could have been better. I was just amazed at how you were able to put so many music pieces in a game that looked so simplistic. It's great to see effort put in anywhere for this. The shading could have been a lot better though.

It did kind of work with how simplistic it was. I just appreciated all the little things that were going on. The level that really drove me mad was of course the first boss. I didn't even get to see what this thing looked like! I doubt he's just a mass of spikes himself.

aletss responds:

Happy Clock day for you too, the graphics are bad because I don't have a drawing pad and I had to do everything with my touchpad (yes, I did it with my laptop) but if this game gets some nice reviews (like this one) and stays with three stars, I WILL buy a drawing pad and start doing some REAL graphics for the prequel im planning (I really hope that the prequel get to see the light some day).
Thanks for noticing my effort, it WAS hard to make this game, I had a lot of trouble with the save feature and mostly the character movement (I still do) but thanks for noticing.
As for the boss level, yhea it is kind of hard but there is a really easy way to finish it, if you need a guide im planning to make a video of it, showing how to finish the game the easiest way.

I found this game to be fairly enjoyable. What I didn't like about it was how it was a bit hard to understand what the crystals did. I do, however, think I have it mostly figured out by now. The red ones allow you to fire an automatic shot at an enemy, the blue ones make a shield, and the yellow ones make a shield that can also be used to attack. There wasn't a lot of detail, but it was still fine. There was certainly a lot of wide open space.

I liked that because it gave you a sense to go anywhere you wanted. The leeches look like pink, pulled teeth. The background isn't too bad either. There's certainly some good flashy colors here and I even like the description. The sounds are nice as well.

NulllGames responds:

On the mission selection screen, there's an introduction button that gives a short explanation of the game. Red crystals fires a homing missile, blue makes you invincible against leeches and projectiles (not bosses), yellow makes you move faster. Every 10th crystal has a special effect. Red : launches projectiles in all directions, blue heals one heart, yellow slows down all enemies on the field.

I just found this game to be too confusing. It doesn't help that there's no sound. It is pretty cool to see what's going to come up next because you literally have no idea. I can't tell if the acorn picture is a part of the actual maze. I mean, I advance to the next level when I don't touch it. Anyway, this game was just a bit too bland.

It's weird to see all this stuff going on and not being able to understand it. It's just too basic to recommend. I think the idea is good, it's just not done in the best way. You could probably add in some shadings and sounds. I do think the timer is kind of nice.

Kwing responds:

This game was made more of an experiment. I'm dabbling with making games that change depending on the date, and this is my first real dive into the idea. Ultimately I would like to create some kind of hour-sized dungeon crawler with level design that changes every day, especially if I could have players go in and interact with each other. Anyway, yeah, what I have right now is extremely simple.

The acorn you're talking about is an autumn leaf, which means that you're playing in the fall. In the winter, spring, and summer, there are different effects on the gameplay. Perhaps I'll find a way to add more gimmicks in the future based on different mechanics.

As for the whole limited visibility maze thing, I'm actually going to be using this as an interlude between random battles in an RPG that I'm working on, so if you like the idea, you'll probably like my new game. Both this game and the one coming out are also PSP compatible, if you're wondering why there's no sound (I'm trying to create low memory games).

I guess I have to at least give you some credit on it being addictive. What I didn't like about this game was that it was so hard to get one freaking medal! I was so bad at this, I actually thought that the game itself ended after that one level. I was amazed at how it kept going on! Well, this is one of the hardest games I've ever played. I did manage to do better with every player.

I also didn't think the graphics were that good. There could have been more detail, although the enemies were at least unique. You had no idea what was going to happen next. The music was alright. No wonder each medal is 100 points.

SunriseKingdom responds:

Here are some tips.

The easiest character to play as is Rick. He has the most hp

The upgrades that I think works best for him are.

Level 1 - Upgrade 05 - Rock Gear
Level 2 - Upgrade 11 - Blue Energy
Level 3 - Upgrade 13 - Red Power

This should be the easiest way to win the game, good luck and have fun.

I was actually surprised at how fun this game turned out to be. What I didn't like was how the graphics weren't that good. Still, it's fairly interesting to be in this strange world where you can't control yourself. It's been too long since I've played a time like this, so it's a rare experience. It was weird how I didn't die at first when I was killed by the spikes. It was nice to have checkpoints, too.

It's interesting to have such a fast paced game. You really have to go up and look up to see what's coming next. It may not be the most creative of games, but it's fairly unique. The designs could have been better. It was pretty decent for a quick game.

DeadlyCheese responds:

thank you :)

I think this is a pretty cool game. It is not without its flaws, as some of the gameplay is a bit too difficult. It also doesn't help that the graphics could be better. I still appreciate all that you've done with this game as it is fairly original. I was afraid the frog swallowing the fly was going to make me lose the game. Boy, was it satisfying to get that blue firefly!

I liked how the design was simple, but the gameplay was fairly complicated. I was not expecting that red demon thing to appear in this. I suppose you should get props for something original. It's overall a weird game, but decent. It makes me realize it's been a long time since I even saw fireflies.

Lenke responds:

I'm Glad of you like the game, i actually dream this game(just the part of catch the fireflies) that was the inspiration to start this game.
I always prefer be original in all my games(it's my best(?) quality) .
So i'm happy :D!

I guess it would have just been too relaxing if it was just the same key over and over. I still liked this because it was fairly original. It does need some more detail, though. I also like how cool the soothing music is. One time the secret key was "Up" and I pressed the up arrow key and it didn't work. Was I supposed to type the word "Up"?

Whatever it was, ducks are pretty cool. I had no idea the duck was just going to flip over in such a silly manner. It may not have taken a lot of effort, but it's still fun. There are even some nice little details here and there, like the fish. Dang, I love that medal sound.

UPTX responds:

Haha, glad you appreciate it, mate. I have heard reports of the <left> key not working on other people's computers and such. I suppose some computer have trouble with certain keys, but I can assure you, it works like a charm on all three of my computers.

I also really like ducks (: and penguins too.

I think the main fault with this game is that it doesn't have a lot of detail put into it. I do have to give you credit for having a pretty original idea. I guess it doesn't work that well because it doesn't seem to treat the player well. I do appreciate the fine little details, again. I think there might be a glitch because it seems to go too fast for me. At least the gameplay is fairly straight through.

I think we on this website are just more used to detailed games, which is probably why the rating isn't that high. The music made me think it would be like "Super Mario Bros" at first! I guess I was disappointed by how it wasn't. It has some good ideas, it's just not done that well. At least you managed to get medals with this.

Argoms responds:

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I actually spent three months thinking of concepts and barely had a week to actually make this. Wasn't expecting a very good rating, I just wanted to get something made really. I might revisit this idea again, and make a more complex game out of it in the future.

This game was tested at 60fps. Newgrounds runs it at max 40 fps(seems to be capped), and my friends can play it normally at that, the problem might be with your computer?

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
