I think this is a pretty cool game. It is not without its flaws, as some of the gameplay is a bit too difficult. It also doesn't help that the graphics could be better. I still appreciate all that you've done with this game as it is fairly original. I was afraid the frog swallowing the fly was going to make me lose the game. Boy, was it satisfying to get that blue firefly!

I liked how the design was simple, but the gameplay was fairly complicated. I was not expecting that red demon thing to appear in this. I suppose you should get props for something original. It's overall a weird game, but decent. It makes me realize it's been a long time since I even saw fireflies.

Lenke responds:

I'm Glad of you like the game, i actually dream this game(just the part of catch the fireflies) that was the inspiration to start this game.
I always prefer be original in all my games(it's my best(?) quality) .
So i'm happy :D!

I guess it would have just been too relaxing if it was just the same key over and over. I still liked this because it was fairly original. It does need some more detail, though. I also like how cool the soothing music is. One time the secret key was "Up" and I pressed the up arrow key and it didn't work. Was I supposed to type the word "Up"?

Whatever it was, ducks are pretty cool. I had no idea the duck was just going to flip over in such a silly manner. It may not have taken a lot of effort, but it's still fun. There are even some nice little details here and there, like the fish. Dang, I love that medal sound.

UPTX responds:

Haha, glad you appreciate it, mate. I have heard reports of the <left> key not working on other people's computers and such. I suppose some computer have trouble with certain keys, but I can assure you, it works like a charm on all three of my computers.

I also really like ducks (: and penguins too.

I think the main fault with this game is that it doesn't have a lot of detail put into it. I do have to give you credit for having a pretty original idea. I guess it doesn't work that well because it doesn't seem to treat the player well. I do appreciate the fine little details, again. I think there might be a glitch because it seems to go too fast for me. At least the gameplay is fairly straight through.

I think we on this website are just more used to detailed games, which is probably why the rating isn't that high. The music made me think it would be like "Super Mario Bros" at first! I guess I was disappointed by how it wasn't. It has some good ideas, it's just not done that well. At least you managed to get medals with this.

Argoms responds:

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I actually spent three months thinking of concepts and barely had a week to actually make this. Wasn't expecting a very good rating, I just wanted to get something made really. I might revisit this idea again, and make a more complex game out of it in the future.

This game was tested at 60fps. Newgrounds runs it at max 40 fps(seems to be capped), and my friends can play it normally at that, the problem might be with your computer?

I thought this was a fantastic game and one of the best I've ever played! I have absolutely no idea how this didn't win a single award! I freaking loved how fluid the animation looked. I think the way the character's speech bubbles are shown is probably the most creative I have ever seen in my entire life! You normally don't even think of those as being well detailed. I love the wide variety of enemies.

I also loved how a bunch of stuff just exploded whenever you touched it. It was great to live in this wonderful, colorful world. It was somewhat of an RPG with how you interacted with the other characters. Of course, I always preferred platformers over RPGs anyway. It was great to have such great mobility and it even worked well as a sort of puzzle game! This is a masterpiece!

JayArmstrongGames responds:

Wow! Thank you so so much :)

Wow, and I thought the game I played before this was weird. I still liked this game, mostly because of how easy it was to get some medals. I truly had no idea what was going on. I'm assuming I could win some way, but I think I died. I could have sworn that I saw the medals somewhere else (at least their designs). If you're a prolific reviewer, you should probably check this out.

It's certainly original enough to like. I thought maybe this was a sendup of the Kid Icarus games. The ones where he becomes an eggplant or something? I think it was mostly a game about falling from the Heavens somewhere. At least I got something out of it.

VictorGrunn responds:

Hey, thanks. Yeah, there's really not much to it - if you can rack up over 10k, you've done "the best you can really do" at this point. But it was fun to make and I learned a few things, especially since it was a 24h project for me and my artist.

I was really quite impressed by this game. While it didn't have a lot going on, at least it managed to be pretty cool by having all these great lights and effects. I had no idea that I could myself control the speed of my ship. It was really about how far you were willing to go with it. It's great to see what different places you go to. You can never become prideful with this stuff.

It's just nice to see that stuff being blurred past the screen. The music is also fairly funky. It's just cool to be able to go past everything so quickly in such flashy lights. It's great when a game works well in its simplicity. This should have a much higher rating.

krangGAMES responds:

Cheers dude, the main emotion of this game is to feel like it's a crazy techno experience, glad to hear that you felt that way. Sort of like sensory overload.

I really liked this, probably because I managed to get so far. I think I got like three of the five medals on my first try! I was admittedly expecting something with more detail, but this is still really good. The way the heads and stuff are animated is very well done. It's just great to see all these crazy looking guys. It's one of the most fun games of these kinds I've played in awhile.

Granted, I haven't played that many at all, really. It certainly motivates you to continue playing. At first, I thought it was the same design, but that would of course been too easy. You should make platformer game with these guys. It seems like you could really expand yourself. It's still great for what it is.

Satyre responds:

Thanks for the rating and the suggestions :)

It's funny, because at first I thought it was just supposed to be me defending my castle or whatever that is. I am soo glad there were other people (or rabbit things or whatever) to help me along the way. You didn't make it that clear in the tutorial. It's still a great game and it is easy to figure out when you see the "Q" sign on board. There's some kind of glitch where I die and can't move on.

It's weird because I can still send troops. I don't know how far they are to attacking the enemy, unfortunately. There were just a lot of cool things going on here. The sounds are also nice and I like how the Moon is evil. Watch out, Princess Luna!

Asvegren responds:

I'm glad you seemed to like it! If you die in-game, a red cross icon will be unlocked (hotkey: 2). This costs 40 resource units and will revive Morax.

I really liked this game, probably because I just found it to be so unique. It's a short game in itself and it doesn't really take a lot of thought. I am still very impressed at people who manage to get far in this game. I assume it's mostly luck. The graphics were freaking gorgeous in this and so were the sounds. I just loved the little pitter patter of the light stuff bouncing off the fish.

It may not have much detail, but it doesn't need to have it. It's just a nice, simple game that is wonderfully designed. Everything about its design was fantastic. My only complaint is that it did get a tad boring at times. Of course, with practice, everything becomes easier!

Almakos responds:

Thank you for the review.
You described exactly what I was trying to achieve with it =)

P.S. I have no idea myself how one can score those millions, that seemed impossible to me...

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
