A falling puzzle game?

I think that's the first time I ever noticed that description under "Genre". I thought I had gone threw every one of these games! It is simply fantastic to realize that there was never a point where you gave up being awesome in this! I think the thing I like most is how you can go to any level you want. Don't get me wrong, challenges are great, but it is more convienient this way. I never knew Pedobear had a female version of himself before these games.

It is so awesome how this is a game that just plays itself so much. You can really put the doll anywhere and wait for the bloody action! I do not have an iPhone, but it is great that you managed to create something like this for it. I think my favorite element would be the spinning blue balls. Wow, that sounds kind of dirty now that I've written it. I am glad to say I went on to play all the other games!

LOL, thanks! :) We try to surprise even ourselves with every new Drop Dead game we make. Drop Dead 4 is in the works, and it should have quite a few new things in it, but as we changed our schedules again a bit it won't be out until Q2/2012... PS. The iPhone version hasn't sold much and has gotten quite bad reviews, it seems that iPhone users don't like this genre.

Nice score

I guess it's pretty easy to tell that the ending is different with a score. The worst thing about this is how the same people just keep coming over and over. It didn't help that none of the more powerful weapons didn't seem to work for me. The artwork is decent, this game is just too difficult! You pretty much have to keep on pressing the button to keep it up. There are still some pretty unique designs in some of these characters.

With the first ending, I was expecting him to find out they were just costumes. I guess it really did set up the story I got for the second ending! There could have been some color, but that wasn't really the point. The sounds are authentic and all. I am glad there is more room for you to survive in the house as opposed to outside.

Thanks for the review!

Some good ideas

The strongest part of this is probably the graphics. Everything seems to be in high order and it's nice to see so many Stencyl works. What's also cool is how you get a lot of mobility to go around and do whatever you want. Congradulations on winning the Summer Game Jam 2011 contest! What is annoying, however, is the level with all of those spears. It just seems like even the slightest touch will end your life.

Everything is still detailed well, but keep in mind that this is a game that requires patience. It's good that everything is in such an organized manner. The music isn't that memorable, but it's alright. I wish there were some enemies that I could actively defeat by jumping on their heads or something. You've certainly created an interesting world.

AdventureIslands responds:

The game was originally supposed to have enemies and ability to throw knifes to hurt them and to activate switches, but I was still learning how to use Stencyl and I scrapped most of the ideas I had in my mind. I intend to bring lots if not all of the unused ideas I had for the sequel, including the knife throwing, climbing and, surprise: swimming!

I'm glad people like my graphics, they are my first art for an actual game and I am proud of them. I intend to make the sequel even better looking.

Mostly nicely done

I have to give you credit for having such nicely made graphics on every level. I'm starting to notice how these flixel games are like. This is one that I unfortunately am not very good on. The worst part is easily jumping. I have had trouble with this before so I guess I just need to hang onto the jump button more. The music is pretty good and gives off a decent tone. What I also like is how there's a lot of level to go and look around.

It's interesting to see what obstacles will come up next. I guess this doesn't mean much, but happy Halloween! I guess really any fantasy character could go with that, given that cosplay are just more elaborate costumes. I like how I can bounce on the guys, but of course I rather shoot them. Thank you for having a medal after every level.

TheVillageBlacksmith responds:

This isn't a Flixel game, but thank you for your feedback. :)

That was fairly odd again

This is a very different game submitted to this portal. The character designs are easily the best things about this. I also think the graphics all around are really good. The funniest thing was that the robotic voice seemed to frequently malfunction and it was actually really entertaining when you heard its jumbled voice try to tell you something. My main complaint is that it does seem like it's a bit too, well, strange. There are just so many weird aspects going on it's hard to tell what's going on.

I guess it just came off as too odd. Of course, I love odd stuff so if you want to play something quite macabre, then by all means check this out! It seems like you really went out to create your own nonsensical world. It could use some music, but the overall design is impressive and the gameplay at least isn't that confusing. I like how it's just the mouse you use for control.

ZEROstudio responds:

Thank you very much, this was my first game i made.

Harder than it looks

Geez, what can you say about a game where you can't even die successfully? This was fairly unique because I had no idea what was going on. I am so glad you are eventually going to release the video walkthrough for this. I have little clue what is going on at all in this game. The graphics, from what I can look at, are pretty nice. It seems like this would had the best genre description if it had been put under "Point 'n Click Adventure" which suits it better.

I'm not a fan of those kinds of games, or games where you just type things. I guess I have to give you credit for creating an interesting atmosphere for all that's going on. The graphics seem to be a lot like something you would see on a professional game. Granted, it would be more of a Game Boy. I guess the prescence of Death might be considered Halloweenish.

larrymcduck responds:

The game was a remake of NES Shadowgate. the game was made on several platforms, but this is the one I played. Even though you are not a fan of this kind of game, I'm glad you're still willing to play it. Thanks for the review!

A lot of fun!

I think Draka seems more like a vampiric spider than anything else. It's still a fairly original creation and I had a lot of fun with it. The coolest part is how well the artwork flows when you create the webs. That is also the most fun part, particularly with how Draka just plops around everywhere. When he turns people into monsters like him, it actually is pretty scary. Of course, it keeps its goofy cartoonish appearance.

I'm so glad to see so many good stuff here around Halloween. The sounds are great too with how Draka cackles all the time. There's just a great sense of fun in this. It's great that he has a fairly wide space for him to move around so it's really a game you can experiment with. This didn't strike me much as a puzzle game, but I guess it doesn't fit anywhere else.

nabossa responds:

Such a great review! Thank you!

Very fast paced!

I just love a game that knows how to be fast paced, but at the same time isn't too hard. The only one that I really had a problem with was Level 03 in the first world. Thank you for answering my question. That is probably the worst part of it, because it is hard to remember how you jump. It's still great to go across all these cool levels blasting everything in sight! The funny thing is that I died in every way except being eaten by the monster.

Running, shooting, and jumping are great staples of any game. The detail in this game is especially good with the uniqueness of the enemies. They're so ugly you're encouraged more to kill them! It might be hard to keep up for some people, but I had a great time playing this. I chose a rabbit design the whole time.

Joelasticot responds:

Glad you liked it! And I'm sure the rabbit ears helped with your jumps

Very nicely done!

I'm not a fan of point and click adventures (especially when all you have is one secret medal) but this was fun. I really admired the amount of time put into all of the detail. It's great to see such a wide environment for the player to explore. All of the creatures have a nice original design to them. There is just such a nice rainbow of colors to go along with this fine game. It's hard to not like it, especially when you can advance pretty well while not being good at it.

I really like how this created your own strange world. It seems hard to believe this was based on Little Red Riding Hood or whatever it was. It's so innovative it seems like everything was something you created yourself. The sound is nice and sets up a good mood. This didn't come off as being scary to me, just more mysterious.

Hyptosis responds:

Thanks! I always planned the story to be more of a detective tale rather than a spooky one, but the story lends itself easily to fantasy halloween type elements.

Quite different

Well, I was hoping to walk away from this game with at least one medal and I did! I got the medal for having a 35+ combo! This wasn't as enjoyable as a lot of other games like this, mostly because it was a lot harder. I don't like it how you have to form a perfect cube. Then again, I have to give it credit for being unique. The music wasn't bad, and while a bit irritating, it did contribute to the more fun parts of the game.

It's cool how everything changes color when you go to another level. The graphics are pretty good. When something is just a bunch of squares over and over, you know you're good when you manage to make that look impressive. The bombs are easily the things you want to get the most. I'm not even sure how they work!

Azh321 responds:

Thanks a lot for your review. You should try the game out again some time, im sure you can figure out the bombs and how the combos work. Try to break your personal high score!

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
