murp is Number 1 today!

I am surprised that this did not get any medals to go with it. I think this might also be the first time I found out your name was Felix Wiesner, as I thought it had a "Maus" in it. Anyway, the "Powerfox" series was one of my all time favorite games on the Internet! It was great to see PF finally back and kicking butt like he should! This game was probably the hardest at least with the Difficulty modes I tried. I understand why you chose India instead of going all around the world this time.

It was because India has over a billion people and their Hindu religion has over a million gods (seriously)! I don't know if that was intentional, but some Fridge Brilliance I saw. I loved the references to your other games, like the giant crab claw. The genie powerups were easily the best, with the Foxzilla powerup the best of them all. You still keep the tradition of so many things going on at one time.

Wiesi responds:

Thank you!

Nice game!

It is always great for people to pay tribute to Newgrounds, even if it's on the website already. It was amazing with how you managed to not only get a lot of characters, but different drawings of the characters! I will probably never be able to draw characters for animations, but can at least appreciate it. I hope other people can learn from this. If it is forgotten, then at least you know it won an award. The wide selection of music was also great and how you could also mute or pause it.

The best thing is that you waste no time going in detail. You do not try to turn this into a game or anything just a nice tutorial. It is rare that I see a game like this that does not have the word "tutorial" in the title. I was impressed by the drawings themselves! Nothing was done with sprite work or anything as it goes more basic.

Aprime responds:

I'm glad you liked the music player, although I don't think I should really put music on my content especially since its copyright. Then again, I can't even remember what music I put on this. I don't think I'd be very good at animating them either, but I'm glad you learnt something!

I'm glad you said I go into detail, usually people say I'm to vague LOL
Tutorial in the title doesn't sound nice
Sprites would be mad

Thanks for the review :)

Seems familiar

This reminds me of "8-bit Theater" especially with the Red Mage designs and everything. While I do not read that, I have seen some flash versions on this very website. This was really cool to play because there were just so many things going on! I loved the detail that was put into everything. It was apparently made in pixels, but the pixellation flowed together so well it was just good to look at. While not action-oriented, it is certainly an RPG that I can get behind.

The best part is that there are so many places to explore. You really have to make your sword slash at everything if you want to get every hidden goodie out there. I love how you guys really went out and created a world of your own. I hope that you manage to get medals with points on them soon. The author comments are very informative as well.

ryoshenron responds:

Thanks for the compliments. The medals in the game are NG medals so they should have points and stuff as soon as an admin approves all the medals.

That was weird

I could have sworn that those things were dolphins and not sharks. Whatever they were, it was a little hard to keep up because it was just so amazingly zany! This third game jam has certainly given us some of the craziest stuff on Newgrounds! It was fun to get the medals, because the only ones I was able to get were the secret ones! I should not spoil how to get them as the player should get them as easily as I did. The weirdest thing was the horse that randomly appeared when there was a high wind blowing.

It was funny to see the shark get cut up when it hit the ground. I don't know why falling on the ground would cause a shark to be split in half so evenly like that. Then again, I should not try to apply logic to a game like this. It would have been nicer if the instructions had been more clear as in put into the game. This is an amusing thing to play.

MonoFlauta responds:

Mmm yes thanks for the advice, SECRET: we will make a Gold Version of this game in af uture, i will use your idea of the instructions for the ingame :P

What?!

Woah, this is definitly the most random game that I have ever played for the NG Game Jams. I had to continually spit out fireballs (I think?) to get rid of the papers coming towards me. Even if I avoided them, they still came to me before they left the screen! Maybe you could just let them go, okay? Anyway, what was cool was that it was a pretty original idea, I mean who would ever think of a game where a giraffe was papercutted to death? I think this might have originally had the name "Giraffe".

The graphics are decent but the main problem is that it is just too dang hard! I fire my weapons at these papers and even the smallest ones take forever to kill! I do always look for uniqueness and you definitley delivered in that sense. It was nice to have so many people working on this. I have not heard of most of them, but you should always give anyone a try.

thinking-man responds:

Try charging after every shot.

How odd

This was an odd little game, because I had little idea as to what was going on. I guess I still have to give it credit for being original, even if I could not understand it. There were times when it seemed like you had to click something to advance through the door. Previously, it worked just fine by doing nothing. The music was good and it creates a good, spooky atmosphere. Another cool thing was the design of the character.

There are a lot of things going on in a game that seems so peaceful. I must have pressed something because I started being able to use the arrow keys. It takes awhile to get used to, but can be fun when you get everything down right. It was weird how you kept the score with the points deterring as it went along. I guess that'll just encourage me to solve it faster.

z3lf responds:

It was interesting to read.
Thanks all.

Really good

I am glad that this went from a 3.15 to a 3.22 simply when I watched it again! It's too bad these medals do not have points. As far as I can tell, as they are not listed, you get them simply by viewing all of the profiles. I was unexpectedly impressed at how good these drawings were. It just goes to show that you should never judge something as being cheap if it has no medals. It is easily the best thing you (BanglaBoy96) ever worked on.

The best artwork was from Boredouttamymind and Sunshinda Fox. There was a lot of variety in this pictures and it was so great to see different characters being shown. This is indeed very underrated stuff. I do not review things on the art portal, so I am always eager to look at collabs like this. I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day too!

BanglaBoy96 responds:

Great to hear it Ericho! XD
Thanks

Could be better

It was kind of weird to watch this because I kept thinking I could do it better on my own computer. I guess that is only because my real computer went through a bad virus. Hey, maybe you could find some way to more accurately show off an actual virus in this! I just feel as though this has been done many times before and better. I still thought it was not the worst because it was entertaining in how cheesy it was. Given that the computer here was supposed to have viruses, I guess that was the point.

All the icons seem to be pretty authentic. I think that I would know as I just recently interacted with them right now as I use my actual computer. I liked how you could use a new username and password. I simply used the same password as my username here. Wait, does that mean that someone else could use that and hack into my account on this game?!

syko227movies responds:

No it doesn't. Man everytime you play this you can enter a new pass.

It could have been worse

A pity you keep showing up on some of the least popular stuff on this website. This was still better than some other stuff because it was kind of entertaining to torture that penguin. The main flaw is that everything is not presented in a professional manner. You should have a background and more detail with the penguin. I am just against using single frames for a character. The kinds of kills you could get were okay, but they seemed to take too long.

The music was nothing special, so at least it was not particularly bad. I was thinking I would get to kill more as it does say, "Penguins" and it seems to be the same penguin for everything. The parasites death was the weirdest, but also the most creative. Try not to pause so long to go back to the menu. What is it with this site and hurting ice animals?

Pickilow responds:

well! I'm horny now

FAP FAP FAP FAP

Very impressive!

I had no idea that someone was going to make a game like this (well, it's not really a game) but it's quite good! You really have to make sure you have a high quality computer for this. I loved how there were so many things to choose from and you could still do whatever you wanted! The music was authentic and seemed to be very clear. Another cool thing is that there was quite a bit of detail just put into everything! Even the loading screens looked nice.

I have no idea if this is going to create any legal trouble with you, but I hope it does not. If YouTube ever gets shut down, we know where to turn to for music! It was not the most detailed, but still gave that should be delivered in something like this. I doubt I will use it that much, but still great to have. It must have taken a long time to make.

mastermachines responds:

Well, technically, if youtube gets shut down so will this app considering it uses youtube :p

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
