Too hard

I thought this was pretty good because of the design. The only real problem I had with it was that I could not understand it at all. The instructions told me to simply go and click the bunny, but nothing seems to happen. The most that happens is that there's this one barrel that I click and it opens and then I click on a sword that comes out. That is seriously as far as I have gotten. I still have to give you credit for having a cool theme with the pirates and bunnies.

This reminds me of that episode of "South Park" with all the guinea monsters. I never realized how much bunnies look like guinea pigs. Please try to give instructions that are more clear so it's easier to progress. It seemed more like a point and click adventure than a puzzle game. Not that I would know as I didn't get far.

Zonferno responds:

Sorry to hear about the difficulty you are having. What the instructions are meant to mean is that you use the mouse to interact with different objects IN ORDER TO save Pirate Bunny.

Try and see if you can get any further. If not, and you want some help, send me a PM.

Thanks for your review!

Quite underrated!

This was great to play probably because I was so good at it. I'm not that much for racing games on this website, but I did so well in this! Every single time I went on a new lap, I managed to set a shorter time period for myself! It was probably because I really knew how to learn from my mistakes and understood the track better. The graphics in this are great as well. The only bad thing is that I don't like some of the sound, particularly with the stratching ones you make when you turn.

There's a nice amount of detail put into all of the courses. It seems like I'm riding in a mansion or something. I guess someone that rich probably wouldn't mind if I tossed their furniture around a bit. The music is also decent and gives you a good sense of an actual race. I may never care for Nascar in real life, but this is cool.

Clever yarn

Dude, I can't believe I somehow missed this when I was going through the daily stuff. This is a sweet game and it's great to see you working again. The best part about it was probably that it was not too long, so it didn't get frustrating. All the graphics/animation are presented in a nice way too. It's fun to see how much personality you can put into stick figures. This even managed to have a style as original as your previous game.

While there could have been some more jokes, it was still a good play. I also have to give you credit for having a wide variety of ways to do things. Sometimes you clicked on things, other times you used the keyboard. It was great just to see how you could even die or lose. While not the best in terms of animation, still tons of fun.

PuffballsUnited responds:

Working again? I've been working on this since October :p I had more jokes in the game but I cut them because it was getting too big.

Those potheads

That was a great game because it just had so many things going on! The hardest enemy was by far the weird clown car, which you had to shoot too many times to hit. The thing I found annoying was how you and your partner could not have the same kind of weapon. It would have made everything so much easier! At least there's another guy who's there to help you. The graphics in this are really good, especially with how the characters are designed.

It seems like a reminder to us all how great the program of Flash can be! Every enemy was full of energy and moved all the time when it was shot. It's probably the first game I've ever played where I've had to kill people high. They sure look like zombies to me. All of the enemies are even different colors, how good this was!

leonardozimbres responds:

Hehe, thanks.
Im taking note on the weapons usage for a future version of the game.

Decent for what it is

This was an interesting game to play because it took awhile to understand what was going on. As you didn't have any setup for what the robots looked like, you just had to go with similar colors. I thought it was funny how the purple robot I assembled was actually by accident. I had all pieces except for the head. The one that I picked didn't even look like a head at all. You really have to experiment with this game and see how accurate you are with the green lights.

It was funny to have a pokeball be one of the things that gave out robot parts. Yeah, it is similar to the stuff MindChamber has worked on. The music is pretty nice and it's great that you have such good mobility over your character and where you can go. It's the kind of thing you can spend hours with collecting medals. Lil Jose looks so stupid and eager.

DieterTheuns responds:

Lol, thanks a lot, Ericho, glad you liked it :)

Not that good

At first I was disappointed because I thought it was going to be too easy. Now I realize that it actually is a lot harder than it looks. It doesn't help that the graphics are cheesy, but that was probably the whole point of this. Well, this is my first review for Robot Day 2011. I suggest that next time you put in a lot more detail into the characters and don't make it so easy to die. Those purple things reminded me of the "Shadow The Hedgehog" video game.

The music wasn't half bad, but did get a bit irritating. It's also annoying with how the background in each area is basically the same. At least you provided checkpoints and the first couple parts of it are easy enough. The robot's design itself isn't half bad. Just also try to make the robot smaller, so it doesn't clutter up the whole screen.

EventHorizon responds:

Thanks for your review and for your advice, you're right about some of the flaws of the game so I will try to improve.

Review of a review

This was pretty good information and it did make me think. It's just that as a submission, it was lacking in several points. I think there should always be a background and not just white space. It would have also been nice if you put some music in it. While it's great that you are trying to help people, you do need detail. Gee, it seems like I always review things in the 9-10/10 range. Being one of the most prolific reviewers, I should know this better.

What I try to do in my reviews is simply express what I think. It is important that we point out the flaws while praising the good points. Slander can never work out for anybody. Albert Einstein looked pretty funny in this. Thank you for reaching out to the reviewing community to try to see the most important things for us to work on.

Thanks for the review, I know it could have been way way better, but I'm happy a lot of people appreciated and told me how to make it better, and i hope some people will learn something from this :)

Thanks a lot man !!

Ragdoll is back!

This was cool to play because it had the same qualities as the original. The thing was that it was not that different than the original and a little less good. Probably the main thing I didn't like was how there was no background. The omission of black lines also made it look a little unprofessional. Still, I did have some fun because it was great to watch the blood fly everywhere! The blood came out in such thin strips it looked like it was red wood or something.

The song is pretty good and I think it's the first time I heard it. The best thing to do is putting the ragdoll in the middle of an object. I don't know how that works, but it makes this awesome effect of him just scattering around with blood and everything. I also liked how the controls were simple and easy to understand. The shapes also looked interesting.

Rawnern responds:

Thanks for the review. Very helpful actually :)

If I ever make a new Ragdoll Man, I'll think about some of the things you said, like the background etc.

Even better

Dude, this is just so fantastic in every single way. You are one of the greatest artists I have ever seen, not just on this website, but in the entire world. While I haven't been to that many art galleries, I have been around. You just perfectly capture how beautiful and flawless the human body is. It really makes you proud to be a human and have such unique qualities. These people are sketched as if they are a part of biology, like graceful animals, which humans technically are.

Reniassance painters would be proud of you. You have made sure not to look vulgar or violent in any way, but just show the true beauty that is the human body. Thank you for taking this challenge and doing us all good. It's stuff like this that makes me proud to be such a prolific reviewer. May your visions live on forever.

poxpower responds:

These are referenced from an Anatomy book, I didn't pick the poses or the models dude
haha

Now that's different

It's nice to see you submitted something for the NG Game Jam, and boy was it elaborate! The hardest thing about this was that it was just so hard to understand. At least it was an originally original idea. Seriously, of all the thousands of games I've played here, I think it's the first one that has ever had the player use morse code! As I am a quick learner, it wasn't that hard to get used to it. I still had some trouble though, particularly when I had to select one of the two guys to attack.

The graphics are fine, but are a bit impressive given the small amount of time you had to make this. The music is also good because it gives off a good triumphant feeling to it. More people should make World War II games! I guess judging by the title, it was supposed to be a parody of Super Mario RPG. Then again, I've never played that game or even watched someone play it.

Grent responds:

Actually, the "super" was really a combination of parody of the fact that (because of Super Mario Bros.) a ton of games unnecessarily use the word and the fact that "Morse Code RPG" sounded a little to plain and, quite frankly, not silly enough for my tastes. Glad you had fun, and thanks for the review!

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
