The postman!

I thought this was quite enjoyable because of how fun it was. Now, I will admit that the graphics didn't look too sharp in this. Then again, that could have been the point. It's really refreshing to play a game that uses such traditional artwork. While it is fairly dated, it's still nice to look at. I appreciate all the effort put into making this fun little game, although I'm not sure if the main person was supposed to be David Hasselhoff or not.

This website is known for making silly non sequitor stuff and this fit the bill pretty well. I like how you actually do have pretty good shading effects. I like how the shadows are cast. It's stuff like this that makes you dream of what it would be like to be an actual mod. I'm not much of an authority figure, so I probably wouldn't do well anyway.

JeffersonTD responds:

Thanks for the nice review! I'm glad you found the game fun!

That's also a very valid point that the main character could be anyone else as well. The reason for having David as the main character is actually the fact that this started as a small and silly inside joke, and there was a certain history with David there.

Naughty Dog?

It seemed like this game was taking too long to load. I should have realized that it wasn't going to be what I expected. Unless there was some glitch my computer experienced, this seemed to have no gameplay except for waiting for the loading screen. I was expecting an experience by Crash Bandicoot given that you mentioned Naughty Dog. I guess the music wasn't that bad, but it was just so lacking in every other category I could think of. It just went to that troll face at the end.

I guess this wasn't meant to be taken seriously, so I won't do that. I don't even recall the original game this was based on. The name does sound familiar. The text that is used isn't that bad, if that's even supposed to be a compliment at all. I guess it might be fine for a quick laugh, but if you're expecting something more serious, don't check into this.

Hmm... People seem to think this review is useless...

Nice for what it is

I would probably enjoy this a lot more if I had some idea as to how to get ahead in it. The weirdest thing is that you don't have much control over your ship. It would help if you could get a clearer view of what's going on and where your ship will land. I will have to give you credit for creating some fairly good music to go with this. It's very ambitious sounding music and it makes you want to go on. I like how it brings a sweet tone to the overall game.

The graphics weren't bad, but I felt this could have been more detailed. At least this has a fairly fun appeal to it. I guess next time, you could make it so that you didn't have to start all the way from the beginning on the first level if you fail. The colors look fairly nice in this. It really looks like you had a fun time making this with its nice appeal.

AndyBrown responds:

Thank you for your critique, I've tried it with the trajectory lines always on, and it doesn't work out very well in motion. We are thinking about working on a sequel where you can pause the ships movement to aim your trajectory changing shot.. and offering the standard slingshot type of control like most of these games have as a default option and leaving in this skill click system as an optional gameplay mode. Also you can skip the tutorial in the first level, there is a skip button on the bottom left =)

It gets better

What I found to be coolest about this was how well it was in terms of pacing. Everything just goes so wonderfully together when you're firing at everybody. It was great how you really had an oppurtunity to dodge the bullets. The guys with the rapid fire machine guns were the worst. It's nice to review something by you as it seems like it's been awhile. I hope you had a merry Christmas even though this had nothing to do with the holiday.

I couldn't understand the title, but the game was so fun I simply didn't care at all. It's also nice how you had such a good variety of music being played and stuff. It's nice to see me going out and making carnage in this weird world. I do wish that the enemies had some better designs to them. It just seemed like the same thing over and over.

Arkuni responds:

It's always nice to see reoccuring reviewers :)
Yeah, more enemies would have been optimal but I had to cut some corners to get it out in a timely fashion.

Now that's something!

Well, it doesn't have that much going on, but it certainly doesn't need to! This is a great submission mostly because you can get anything you want! I find it hard to believe there are even enough medals listed for what you can get. This is something you should play if only because you'll get some great medals with it. Maybe someday I'll get every single one. Thank you, for making such a well working non sequitor movie that's so well.

It seems like you just opened up a dictionary and got every "B" word you can find. Well, you probably only went for the more well known ones. The voice is pretty nice in this too. This is something really unique because of how ridiculous it is. I can just go on for all eternity pressing these buttons and having medals pop up over and over!

BanglaBoy96 responds:

Thanks man! :) It did take A LOT of time and effort to put together (especially the typing and voices)
Thanks I love reading your reviews :)

Seems impossible

I'm not a fan of this game, mostly because it seems impossible to complete. By that I mean, I am trying to touch the man without touching the cage and it can't be done. The graphics themselves aren't that much either. There needs to be a stronger emphasis on shading and stuff like that. What's weird is how I tried to get in through the speech balloon but it didn't work. Even though I couldn't see it, when I got to the part where the cage was, I still lost!

The best thing is probably how you have such nice music. It helps that Queen is my all time favorite band. It gets annoying when you keep hearing that farting sound over and over when you lose. If anyone else is able to figure this out, then I give that person sincere credit as I can not do it. It is truly a hard puzzle game.

synapses responds:

I'm not pro at making flash. this is one of my first games. and btw, there is a way to finish the first round

Hard to like that much

I guess I can't say it's that bad because I seem to know so little about it. I got the first level done pretty easily. All I had to do was simply take my mouse cursor to where the dot was and wait for everything else to stop moving. The second level is freaking murder for me. I tried touching the key, but I died. In fact, I tried touching everything on the entire screen and I kept dying. I don't think it's possible to progress without touching at least one thing.

I guess I will give you guys credit for having a decent layout. Everything is presented in a fairly clear cut manner. There have been literally thousands of games I have played here so I wouldn't know what the original was like. It was pretty cool to have such a wide variety of music. It seemed more of a puzzle game than anything else.

fortunacus responds:

thanks ericho for the comment, I update the level order then, please check it up again

Quite fun!

It's hard to play something you made that wasn't in the "Drop Dead" series. It's great that you have such cool transition effects when everything drops down. The best part is probably how they disappear so wonderfully whenever they hit the ground. It's nice to see how there are so many different ways of using these blocks. I have yet to come across a level I find to be particularly hard. I think the best strategy is to use the heaviest ones at first.

The ones with different shapes are a bit hard to work with. The music is also great and sets off a really nice notion of being in a bizarre world. The background plays that up well too. It's nice how everything is just so good looking even if the game is a bit mundane. The sound the music makes makes it seem like a laser is being pointed or something.

ttursas responds:

Thanks! Yeah, it seems that Drop Deads are our most popular games on the Flash platform, but on the iOS side Perfect Balance takes the lead. Anyway Drop Dead 4 might be our next Flash game or then we might do another one before DD4.

Needs more detail

I guess this perhaps wasn't intended to be that good looking, but this game should have more detail. It just seemed like everything was presented in far too much of an ordinary manner. The text and everything else seems so bland. I will give this credit for at least having an original concept. I was surprised at how easy it was to die when all I did was move around. I suggest you simply keep pressing the arrows to get a pattern.

The music was alright. It seemed like it didn't fit the tone very well with how it was peaceful and this was a game about the Devil. The lines are straight, but it doesn't leave much to go on. I keep winning that same medal when I lose on the first level. It always pays to have a game where you can get a medal that easily.

FlyingColours responds:

Thanks for the review! Now that you mention it, the song does seem to be a bad fit for the theme. Next time, I'll be sure to pick a more suitable piece! I'll try to make the graphics better next time, with pictures from the Internet which are not copyrighted. The game I'm working on will be much easier to win.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
