I was impressed at how challenging this was. I had no idea how I was dying at first. I mean, it seemed like I died just by standing still. That actually happens! You always leave a dot behind that can kill you. That gets annoying.

It's still quite unique. I can always appreciate that. It may have been too simplistic. I can see why it's popular. Happy Halloween 2019!

Why is this the lowest rated submission for Ludum Dare 46? I liked it! It's not the best, but it's decent. I'm glad to have reviewed it. I know the design wasn't that creative. It probably didn't take that long to make.

Once again, I don't know what this has to do with "start with nothing". Everything starts from nothing! The music was good too. Maybe it could have used sound effects. It's still fun for what it is.

Etchlight-Studios responds:

Thanks for that LOL , "the start with nothing" I went with was starting a level with nothing dangerous like obstacles or enemies and then build on it as you go on
About the ludam dare thing my game doesn't have pretty screenshots so....that's on me But thank you for the review

That was pretty interesting. I just really don't know how to play it. I mean, it's just a chick walking around. I was able to get the first feather. I guess it's nice for an experimental game. I thought it was taking place through a womb.

I mean, that would be starting, right? That's a lot of thunder. It doesn't even stop when I pause it! Congrats for being the thumbnail. The graphics are pretty good.

aeveis responds:

It's explained but not directly. You want to walk where the walls are least closed. It ended up being more of a soft puzzle than I wanted. The thunder noise also decreases the closer you get to the goal. Thanks for trying it out!

For some reason, I thought this game had medals. It was still enjoyable. Happy Halloween 2019! I'm glad there's a section for it now. It was quite playable. I do wish there was more going on. It may have been too short.

Of course, it wasn't too hard! I liked it the more complicated it got. I don't see what that had to do with starting with nothing. I guess everything technically starts from nothing.

I had a lot of fun with this game. It's mostly because of how well it works as a puzzle game. Why isn't it listed as one? It's not that much of a platformer. It sure requires a lot of thinking ahead. I'm always impressed at how simple these games look.

They'e really anything but! I like the new stuff they add in each level. It's just a great layout. I've managed to get as far as Level 12. Yeah, the first one was the only one I never died on!

MrNannings responds:

Thanks. Yeah I will change it to Puzzle indeed.

I'm sorry, but this didn't appeal to me. I mean, the drawings are quite nice. The main problem is that it's just so little going on. This would be fine for something else, but not for Madness Combat. The cartoons are all about destruction! I guess I'll give it credit for being unique.

It's done with great drawings. That's always a plus. It just wasn't enough for a game. Well, Happy Madness Day 2019! I know how late that is.

Cymbourine responds:

appreciate the honesty, thanks!

I liked this, but I didn't love it. I was just never into point and click adventure games. I can appreciate the funny lines. Dang, am I good at this! I was kind of hoping there would be more variety. Instead, it was just the same location.

It's still entertaining. I just don't think it deserves this high score. I didn't lose any health! Well, I'm not even exactly sure how this game works. At least it was unique.

Yeah, I'm really not into point and click adventure games. It was hard for me to understand even how to move. Well, I got some bits in. I got the wallet, but that was it. I wish there was sound. Well, I do have bad ear buds. I liked the title I guess.

It just seems too simplistic. You think it would be easy with that. I'd need to see a walkthrough. Well, it still got frontpaged. Some people must like it.

KnoseDoge responds:

hey, sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it! the game is very simple when it comes to the sfx and graphics department, as i am not very good at those things, i'm more of a programmer. it is still fair criticism, of course!

as for the walking, the tutorial might've needed some expansion to make it clearer that it actually is a tutorial. as it is now, if you you just click the screen you might miss bits of the tutorial.

thanks anyway for the feedback!

This seemed pretty unique for a game of yours. It still had a lot of medals. Now if only I could understand how to beat it. There's so many levels it's hard to even remember the one I can't win at. I love the cute little designs of everything. This is a point and click adventure?

You know how to create a complicated game. It's fun not knowing what character will appear next. Vanilla Ice? That looks more like Donald Trump. I still can't get most of these medals!

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
