I admit that I was quite impressed by this. I kept thinking that if you didn't skip past the cut scenes, you'd get the secret medal. Of course, you don't, which is why I am mentioning it. At least you don't get it at first, maybe. Anyway, I appreciate how you made a fun game with simplistic design. This may not be that popular, but I enjoyed it.

I think it's because it works so well with its simplicity. I liked stomping on the enemies' heads. There were even some funny sound effects here and there. The music was fairly decent. I love the fake reviews.

Kolumbo responds:

Thanks.

Well, I couldn't get that far in this game. I still think it's pretty enjoyable. I think it's because you're in an interesting environment. There are some people you could kill, but they didn't attack you. You should have been able to use the whip longer. I did like it how I could trick some enemies into attacking each other.

The worst were probably the flying fire breathing furballs. Just a few hits and they could attack. I never got a good way of using my special moves. Half the time, I didn't even intentionally do them. I appreciate how it's creative. I recognize the character, but not the games.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Yeah the Hobo series gets a lot harder and much more challenging in the end. There are useful ways to use all the combos in the game, you just have to learn when and where. For example, using a powerful puke attack against one of those fur balls would do them a lot of damage, just keep your distance ;) Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you liked the game and appreciate its weirdness! :P

I'm not going to complain about the controls. I will claim that it just takes too long to kill your enemies. There didn't seem to be a lot of difference in terms of the weapons bringing more damage. It does seem like the design is fairly good. I just don't understand how there's a lack of mobility. I thought the level where you couldn't kill anyone was hard!

I don't mean to complain, but it could be better in many ways. The best thing is probably how you have a lot of lives. It takes awhile to get used to the mouse movement. This isn't something I would recommend. It was pretty mediocre.

josh-tamugaia responds:

Thanks for your feedback

This game was really weird. It seemed like such an obvious thing to just be able to stay until the bar was full or whatever it was. I never really cared much for this series. I do, however, think it's pretty well animated. I just didn't know how to keep up with this. Maybe I need to get drunk more in real life.

I don't think I ever have gotten drunk in real life. I really don't have any intention to. Anyway, the sounds were pretty good. It was strange how something so simple could be so difficult. A lot of games are like that.

Cycon responds:

Klunk? Is that you?

Dude, this wasn't a full game? I freaking had to beat four bosses! At least the medal I got was deserving. At least I think I got a medal. This reminded me of the Mega Man games. I thought it was all quite creative. I appreciate all the work put into this.

It made me want to keep on going, because it seemed to be going on forever. I hope you have a wonderful Robot Day. You deserve the praise with such a nice game like this. I don't know how you lost your weapons. It all worked out in the end.

SinclairStrange responds:

Haha nope, just a wee demo of some levels. The final version will most likely have about fifteen to twenty stages. Medal did unlock, I just forgot to include the info telling you >.<

Hope you have a great Robot Day too!

I found this to be a pretty enjoyable game. You guys have made so many games it only makes sense you would make some games with your name on it. I think the graphics could have been better. I think there should have just been more going on. The music came off as a tad strange. I like how you have to last a certain time in order to advance to the next stage.

I'm pretty sure that's how it works at least. It looks like you were looking for a medieval theme here. I guess it makes as much sense as anything else. I recognize the text. I've never played a game that had controls like Z and /.

josh-tamugaia responds:

Haha this was so long ago!!

I must say, this was a lot more entertaining than I thought it was going to be. I thought it wouldn't be much fun at all, because I couldn't get far in it. It took me awhile to get used to the controls. I think this is one of the best games created for an NG game. My only problem was how you had to press "E" to pick something up. There was a nice variety of enemies.

Happy fourth of July! I guess that doesn't mean anything now, but whatever. I think the music was quite stylistic. I'm not even sure how I know what my score is. Overall, this was very good once you get used to it.

Guy-Unger responds:

Ah, thank you so much! Yea you're not the only one with that problem but I can't really think of a good alternative.

It's hard to recommend a game you have such little comprehension of. I really should have known that this was part of another NG game jam. I didn't understand why there wasn't any sound in it when I played it. I was thinking it was some mistake as there was sound in the cutscenes. It's hard to look for medals when you don't know what any of them are. The graphics weren't terrible, I guess.

I was just looking for something easier to understand. I didn't know how to jump or anything. I imagine you just have to go into the other lane. It's pretty unique, I suppose. I'm not much a fan of the original game.

WingDemon responds:

Well, to answer some of your questions bro, there was music. I guess it didn't work for you for some reason, try checking your flash version and sound settings. The medals are all for doing normal parts of the game so you earn them just by playing the game, we didn't want to force people into certain circumstances (like making them use the editor just to earn a medal) so we made them hidden. And the graphics were an homage to classic NES games like Excitebike and Megaman and stuff.

anyway thanks for trying it out, glad you thought it was unique.

Dude, it's been forever since you've submitted something. You are one of my favorite artists here and this just goes to show why that is! I love how the colors are so bright and everything. I remember the original version of this game from literally years ago. It's great to see you back in business. Even if you don't do full time, you at least made something great.

There should be sequels to your most popular games, as this was one itself. I think the sound effects are just great. It seemed vaguely Mario esque. I appreciate all the hard work and effort put into this. Remixes in general aren't that popular.

wvaldez responds:

Wow, I didn't know I still had fans since like you said I haven't submitted in years. I've been wanting to get back into development. I appreciate the review. I will probably start off making new games rather than doing sequels. I made this one an exception because I wanted to get my feet wet with Flash again.

I have played many space shooting games, but this was so awesome I had to check it out. I think the main reason it's so awesome is because of how simple it is. You are on this interesting area and background where you blow up enemies over and over. I also like how you have so many lives. Some of the sounds are goofy, but fine. I'm speaking of when the boss fires at you.

The controls are really easy to understand. You get an interesting variety of enemies that are coming after you. I don't even know if you can kill those metal UFOs. I swear I didn't get more than 5 points at once from those coins. I thought they were energy blasts you were supposed to avoid at first!

josh-tamugaia responds:

This game was when I was still quite green as a game developer. But I'm glad you like it.

I am one of the most prolific reviewers on this website and even on the Internet! I am proud to be such a huge fan of this website!
