Well, I admit there were a lot of things wrong with this. First and foremost, I didn't know how to navigate around this place without knowing which percentage to put on! I kept having to change everything! It was also hard to go to other windows. There were already audio of these stories available on the audio portal! I do still like this setup.

The graphics are good. I do love Creepypastas. I had to mess with everything to make sure it synched up right. Some of the voices were annoying. It's still obvious people worked on this.

Frosty responds:

what.

Sugaphys responds:

nuh uh

Well, it wasn't a rewarding game at all. I say that a lot, don't I? Hopefully, "Honest Trailers" or someone else won't catch me doing that. Anyway, the graphics didn't seem that good. I need a more straightforward game. It was more RPG than Adventure.

I appreciate how it's at least unique. It wasn't really that scary. I mean, there were monsters, but those are everywhere, right? It still at least had effort put into it. I'm just not interested in going on.

Oh, I lucked out. I thought it said that I would have to defeat 100 enemies in a single go. Well, I was able to do that eventually anyway. I guess the title was meant to be a scream? Wait no, it was the sound that was made when the ghost died. How do ghosts die?

Well, there are some Mario games where you can do that. I just loved the atmosphere. I had no idea there'd be such a variety of enemies. It was just a great Halloween game! Happy Halloween and I mean it this time!

FodderLabs responds:

Thanks for playing the game!

And Happy Spooky Month! *obligatory Spooky Month dance* :3

How can you kill that which has no life? A holy flashlight might help! :P

Happy that you mentioned the different enemy types! I try my best to help keep things varied over multiple sessions. :D

And it is great to have Ericho from the "TV Tome Adventures" series play and reply to this game! ^_^

What's your favorite scary game?

orbitz responds:

soma

I found this to be quite an enjoyable little game. The best part was probably how you could easily get access to all levels! Well, you want to challenge yourself anyway. I will admit it was annoying with how slow you moved. You had to see that same little cutscene every single time. It still had a great layout.

On Level 5, don't try to kill the archer at all. Really, you shouldn't even go after the archers in general. It wasn't really that much related to Halloween. I guess there were goblins. Those are timeless!

KageKMB responds:

To fix walking speed - try holding the run button.

An update is coming soon, I’ll look into seeing if the cutscene can be skipped but it does load the next level’s data during the sequence.

Well, I can certainly say that this an underdog. It didn't really appeal to me. I managed to find eight ghosts. It was hard to tell where there would be more that didn't appear before. Talking to people got kind of annoying. Well, it's just my opinion.

It wasn't that well detailed. Everyone here seems to really like it. I've just played many better Halloween games. I guess I'm not into adventure games. Hey, the Underdog of the Week award DOES kind of look like a werewolf!

arudasics responds:

I can't say I'm not a little bit disappointed with this review, but hey to each their own.

I can understand if you prefer not to read too much when playing games, totally fair. Unfortunately however, a lot of the puzzle hints are contained within the dialogue so a bit of reading is required to unlock areas that have some of the ghosts you were missing. I tried to keep the dialogue concise while still preserving the character's personalities.

If you only found eight ghosts I'm guessing you probably missed a hint to get into the farmhouse and find more. If you don't read the dialogue, you're gonna have a harder time playing the game. Finding eight ghosts does mean however that you've found the hardest ones though. ¯\_( ツ )_/¯

I have to admit this wasn't very interesting to me. I mean, it was just me going up and talking to people. I thought there'd be more action. I was hoping you'd actually be dealing with meteors. There was just too much talking. It just wasn't interesting.

I guess it was about limited space. I was just hoping it would take place in space. Ludum Dares are up to 54?! Well, I have lost count of them. You can never run out of themes.

F1Krazy responds:

Yeah, the thumbnail may have been a touch misleading, sorry about that.

I hate to say this, but I didn't think it was good. It wasn't even that playable. It was just kind of boring. I expect games like this to be better animated. It was hard to understand how to beat that third boss. I wasn't even sure if that was the third floor.

It was just kind of bland. I guess people who are more into RPGs might like that. I couldn't do anything with my attacks on the third boss. I could only get in one hit. It just isn't a rewarding game.

FCPXAV responds:

There's a trick to beating the third boss, try using the new ability you learn at the beginning of the fight!

I have to admit that I wasn't that impressed by this. I mean, it was basically just a bunch of drawings. Honestly, I think the best part was the music. I mean, it really was fascinating. I thought this would be a game where you smashed spiders. It had medals after all!

Happy Labor Day weekend or whatever! It's a rather odd collab. I thought it was weird how you couldn't just press the same button to go back to the original size. Well, I should be used to the Escape button. It seems like this would be more appropriate around Halloween.

Thetageist responds:

Based on what I read in the original post, the idea was to make it pre-Halloween hype. (Is that right, @fe1l1ngsk1lledd?) A lot of art collabs also do simple viewers like this, especially if the organizer is primarily an artist and can't code a lot, though more complex methods of including all the entries are definitely appreciated.

SkilledFella responds:

That's right, Thetageist :P

Also, thank you for the fair feedback, Ericho owo

Wow, that was weird. It wasn't even really a game. It was just me clicking things. I thought there'd be a reward for clicking everything. I don't believe there was. I clicked on my first icon and I think what's what the geraffe one was about.

This was still enjoyable. I do like seeing these all together. You really did want to make something unique. It just made no sense to me. Oh well, it's still quite nice.

Quest responds:

Honestly, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either, but I feel like that's the charm of it. Seeing everyone's gears all working together in one chaotic machine really is beautiful.

BastardFromBrooklyn responds:
